Weina is a HORRIBLE instructor…read more I was initially quite impressed with the reviews, but my was I in for a surprise. Things got off to an interesting start when I watched the instructor ask my colleague her height before adjusting the machine, when it was my turn she just hitched up the machine and moved onto the other side. Throughout the class I watched her treat students with kindness, praise, and support--none of which were extended to me. The nail in the coffin was her telling me I had weak leg muscles and that's why the pilates board slid during the bridge exercise. The comment, while callous, gauche, and unprofessional, could not have been further from the truth. My legs are--shapely and muscular--what many people pursue pilates to obtain. The comment rubbed me wrong way, and I was too unsettled by her disrespect to focus. So I left. As I opened the locked door, she did not ask if everything was okay or anything, she just said she'd refund me my money. Seems as if my exit was the desired result from the beginning. I am writing this review in hopes that you will select a Pilates studio with a centered and professional instructor--not one plagued by the ills of anti blackness and prone to gaslighting to ameliorate her internal shades of jade. The space is also small and stuffy from lack of ventilation.

I've been a member here since November 2025 and I'm in love with this studio and Weina and Yuting…read more It's a family owned studio run by Weina and her daughter. Weina used to teach Pilates at Club Pilates in Jax, and I think she still does from time to time. Her goal in her classes is to help her students feel much better in their bodies. She makes modifications to exercises based on your body's range of motion and limitations. She wants you to learn how to do these movements properly and safely, and to strengthen your weaknesses. I initially came here with a stiff lower back and chronic back pain, and now, I'm very proud to say that I feel much more limber. My back doesn't bother me as much as it used to and I have a much stronger core and better posture. Her classes are different every time. She changes the exercises so that there is no boring routine, which makes every class a new and fun experience. She also gets genuinely excited when she sees you improve! I highly recommend checking Weina's studio out and joining a beginner class. Maybe you'll fall in love with Pilates like me.

I am a regular at OTF University and OTF Butler Plaza. Yesterday (08/06/2020) I ventured over to the Millhopper location for the very first time to use the gym and visit my favorite Coach Cosmo. I had never been to this gym before and sadly had to use a GPS to find it as I never ever go over to that side of town. Once I arrived I parked my car and got in line to workout. The line was pretty long and it was full of new faces I have never seen before. People were very friendly and talkative while waiting in line. Once inside the gym it is a big L Shape with treadmills and rowers on one side of the room and the weight room on the other. It was super nice. I will say this gym is a little smaller than Butler and University, but it is the oldest location in Gainesville and they were able to see the small size and make the other gyms bigger because of this. I highly recommend this gym if you're looking for a great workout.

I especially love the amount of classes that are offered across the 3 locations although some of them I wish were offered at different ones or different times but that's not something that can really be controlled and is up to who the instructor is so I get it. My favorite classes are dance attack and Bodypump. Highly recommend!

The business model is to accentuate the 'community/tribe' vibe, while letting the actual equipment/facility sit in a state of disrepair and neglect. *I actually had to broker a deal with the UF Southwest Rec center to find AF a technician to repair an elliptical that stayed broken because 'we can't get someone out here to fix it.' A couple summers ago, the HVAC was out for more than six weeks. Not only did management provide nothing to compensate for the misery of the few members who suffered through their workout, the owners solicited their membership to cover the cost of the air conditioning repair! A quick visit will illustrate how filthy it is, and since nothing is enforced, guys in dirty work boots or vagrants with dogs are more than welcome inside. I've posted my experience several times before, and they inevitably take it down. But I'll just keep telling my cautionary tale about this AF location. Avoid it like the plague.
