There are clothes, snacks and socks (you need them), water available to purchase and most importantly TOWELS. The ladies that teach are dancers and they know their stuff. They do come over and correct your postures. They do remember your name. They do the class with you... well mostly. Kristi knows her stuff, and gives the most detailed instructions of all the instructors. Huge focus on form! The workout consists of a warm up, stretching, thigh, seat work, abs, cool down, and more stretching. You will shake, you will work, you will tone up, you will be encouraged. You don't have to be a dancer to attend Smart Barre (hello? Have you seen my dance moves?). I am by no means a dancer (In public!) and never felt intimidated or embarrassed. Except the days I'm so tired I can't remember left from right... yes, it's happened. I have been to several studios in the area. If the word BARRE is in the name, I've been there sweating my A$$ off. Smart Barre has THE most pleasant staff. They show you the moves and actually do them with you, not just walk around the room talking. It's ALL barre all the time, not a studio with a few classes a day. This is a legit workout. There are days I think Sara is trying to kill me. Sally will whip you into shape. There were people of all ages and fitness levels attending the class, so no one really looked out of place. The class was also structured very well and it was nice to have all of the equipment needed for the class already at each mat (as opposed to having to go grab everything yourself). And somehow I managed to line up back to back classes which is rare and honestly such a win... think cycle straight into strength... YES PLEASE. First off... Let's be real... the hype has cooled off nationwide and Pilates has kind of taken over, but as someone who rides regularly, I will ALWAYS show up for a true rhythm ride. And this... is a TRUE cycling studio. Beat rides, great bikes, incredible energy. The space itself... SO GOOD. It's this beautiful converted historic warehouse and they really leaned into the aesthetic. Walking in, you immediately feel like you're somewhere special. I took a cycle class followed by strength, both with the owner... and wow... she is an absolute GEM. Total vibe, super welcoming, and you can tell she genuinely cares about the experience. The cycle class had everything... strong cueing, on point lighting, loud music in the best way, and a sound system that actually works with the space. Also... microphone for the instructor... which should be standard everywhere but sadly isn't. Shoutouts throughout class too which I LOVE... had me smiling the whole ride. Strength class right after was more functional training with stations... everything clearly written out, well explained, and focused on form and technique. It felt intentional and approachable but still a great workout. I will say... I was a little hesitant booking at first. From the photos online, it didn't look very diverse, and as an Asian woman traveling, that matters to me. But I'm really glad I went. While it's not the most diverse space, I felt welcomed, comfortable, and it was all good energy across the board. You can also feel the community here... they host events, people know each other, and it doesn't feel cliquey which is important. Amenities check... yes there are showers, which I used... plus water station and the essentials. Just a heads up... bring your own towel, mat, and cycling shoes if you have them, otherwise there are rental fees. Also... the MERCH. Oh my god. So cute. I absolutely bought a few things... their branding is SO good. Only small note... the standard drop in rate is a little high in my opinion... but if you're using ClassPass or visiting, it's definitely worth checking out. Overall... 5 star experience. I'm a newbie to pilates, and have been trying all the free sessions, to find what works for me. The class is from a prerecorded video. You are on the floor, attempting to keep up with the video. The video is playing at the top of the box, you have to struggle to do the moves while looking up(you are on the floor). I tried about 20 minutes. The front desk lady was very nice and tried to motivate me to stay longer. I couldn't do it. For me, it was a horrible experience. For others, tons of people enjoy it. They also have a rowing sauna box, and spin box with a few bikes crammed in, and a mini gym in the back.

On top of all of this nonsense, they do not properly explain that to you at sign up, charge you around $100 to buy there mats and towels plus membership and if you decide to leave an unfavorable review, they will attack your review in there attempt to make excuses for there failure. Just make sure you know ALL the rules for cancelling up front and the costs.
