I've tried Pure Barre in the past and bought a class pack or two, so thought I'd try out the free first class when I moved to Chicago. I liked the class I took, but I also like variety in my workouts. There's not a ton of flexibility in their packages and wasn't a great price point for me. Too, I didn't get the best impression of the studio when I had to do an over the phone evaluation, and the sales pitch made me even more uncomfortable. Ultimately, I found a better fit at a different studio. read more

Communication is fantastic and they are so caring. As I navigate my health and workout routine through recovery they gave me the support I need. Grateful!!! read more

Stay away! Worst experience with rude and pretentious front desk, arguing about their "safety" concerns. I hope they are not running high voltage wires there. if you do visit, please wear hard hat because it may be dangerous inside. They make up the most ridiculous and laughable reasons to get your money without delivering services. read more

Very clean studio with great instructors! The west loop location offers a lot of class times throughout the week which has been easy to fit into my work schedule. Highly recommend this location if you're interested in trying pure barre! read more

I tried Pure Barre because they were offering a free class and I wanted group classes of better quality then my gym was offering. The first work out was very challenging, but I loved the energy in the class so much that I decided to give a one month trial a chance. Within a few weeks I was hooked, and now, seven months later, I plan my day around my Pure Barre class. I love the teachers, the community, and the fact that there is a lot to learn. Also, Groundswell, the coffee shop next door, makes delicious pre/post workout caffeinated drinks! read more

Great, hard yet low impact work out to great music. I was already somewhat fit but transforms flat in shape butt to rounder, regular arms to more sculpted Running legs are leaner. Addictive. Hard enough to give you a work out - but not so overwhelming that it forces you to wash your hair. I love getting these 6 am classes in on weekdays before 8:30 work. All instructors Correct your form, are positive and motivational. Studios offer motivational challenges and rewards are always personal but sometimes result in small tangible reward like socks or tote bag etc. they offer three types of classes classic reform and empower. On special challenge months they offer other unique classes which are longer or teach you deeper stretching. Easy to modify movements to your personal issues be it back or hip etc. highly recommend. read more

Absolutely love this place. Signed up last year after trying it with a coworker. The workouts are extremely challenging, even a year later. Within my first 6 months of attending classes, I was able to lose 20 pounds. The staff at Pure Barre WL are friendly and always willing to help. It is extremely addictive! read more

I LOVE THIS STUDIO! I have been doing Pure Barre since 2015. After taking a 15 month hiatus because of moving, I finally moved to the West Loop. The first thing I did was sign up for a 1 month unlimited membership. Everyone here is awesome! I've visited around 10 different studios across the country while traveling for work. This is my favorite work out and this studio is fantastic. I just signed up for my 12 month unlimited membership!! yay! All the instructors are on point and super nice. If you have any questions, just ask and they'll help you get the most out of your workout. The work outs are HARD but anyone can do them! They will teach you how to modify them if you have any injuries or special concerns. The studio is nice! They have lockers with locks on them, various products in the restroom (deodorant, dry shampoo, etc), even hair ties if you forgot yours! They have a smaller selection of merchandise that I've seen at other places, but still a good variety - and I think they alternate with the Fulton Market location. If you are new to pure barre you should try it 4-7 times to get a good idea of how to do it, since, like anything else, you have to learn it. Once you do, you'll be addicted :) promise. read more

I cannot say enough good things about this studio. A friend suggested I try it so I started with the "first week free" offer. I immediately realized I was waking up muscles for the first time EVER. That first week I was hurting in areas of my "seat" and thighs that I never knew existed. Obviously, I continued with a month subscription. The instructors at PBWL are exceptional; they go above and beyond to create an inclusive and motivating environment. They must study pictures to know the names of each member of class because they shout individual encouragements throughout the hour. They walk around helping improve your form and adjusting your limbs to maximize the burn. I will say for any doubters reading this, you have to try it to truly understand. I have been an avid runner for a few years and did not see how moving my body "down an inch, up an inch" could make a difference....but it has! read more

I signed up for a Pure Barre class with Leana through ClassPass. I felt super welcomed as soon as I stepped into the studio! Leana gave me a quick studio tour and instructions on what certain terms like "tucking" means. The class went at a good pace, it was easy to follow. There was a combination of floor work and barre work! I didn't think the class was too intense when I finished, but my entire body was burning for a good 3 days after the work out! The studio is very eager to get new members. I got a few with emails and text messages after my first class. Definitely more messages than from other studios I've been to through ClassPass. read more

Pure Barre is challenging and intense, but I feel so great afterwards! I have only attended 10 classes - and they were somewhat sporadic - and I have noticed results faster with Pure Barre than any other workout I have done. I originally started going to Pure Barre West Loop via Classpass, but have had such a great experience - and such noticeable physical results - that I purchased a membership to the studio. Also, I just have to say how great this specific Pure Barre studio is. Susan and the entire staff at Pure Barre West Loop are all incredibly friendly and helpful. The space itself is super clean and pleasant. I am not going to lie - I did not want to love Pure Barre, but I am hooked! read more

My first time at pure barre was a great experience! I signed up via ClassPass with my friend. We were immediately welcomed and greeted by the instructor and front desk attendant. They made sure to introduce themselves and get us set up with lockers and equipment needed for class. The class itself was great! I've only done 2 barre classes ever, one was Floor based and the other mostly standing. I loved how this class had variety in the movements and stretches we did. This by far has been my favorite one! Definitely feeling the burn during and long after class. Lastly, since we were first timers they had small gift age for us after class with coupons and chocolates. It was a lovely gesture! I would highly recommend this studio and will be coming back for another workout! read more

love this place! I've made lots of friends and feel great! It's a super supportive environment with a really great workout that doesn't hurt my weak ankles. They also sell amazing clothes, I live in the Beyond Yoga pants I got there. For real I love this place. read more

The best 55 minute full body workout. Fantastic community. I may be a bit biased, but it's my favorite place to be :)

I've been going to this studio for close to two years and could not say better things about it. This studio is very professionally managed and the owner, Susan, goes above and beyond for her clients. The teachers are all so knowledgeable, friendly, and motivating as well. I would highly recommend Pure Barre to anyone looking for a great workout and this studio especially. -Melissa C read more

This place is incredible! I've always been very skeptic of barre classes not really sure if it was a true workout. But I can say now with confidence that my body is stronger after coming to Pure Barre. On top of that, I don't think you'll find a more welcoming studio than this West Loop location. From the second you walk in, it feels like home. It's a complete no-judgement zone and you'll leave a better version of yourself than when you walked in - I promise. Highly recommend!! read more

First class at a pure barre. Great teacher! She reminded us to tuck, demonstrated and walked around to help ensure the best form. Music was nice, setup was easy. I like the carpet so we don't slip! read more

Apart from being a huge fan of the workout, the girls at Pure Barre West Loop are amazing!! One isn't just another client but part of their Pure Barre Community. Went day after day because I felt welcomed and comfortable at their studio. In every class, I was constantly challenged and the instructors motivated me to work harder! Today was my last class and they made it a special one. Don't know another place that do that for their clients. The care Susan and her team have for those that come into the studio is incomparable! Will miss coming here everyday and being around incredible people! read more

First time taking this class and Olivia was awesome. I am used to working out and lifting but Pure Barre challenges muscles you don't typically work out. I will be sore tomorrow but it is well worth it. Our Sunday 9am class was popular and full, so it would be awesome to have a bigger space or maybe 1-2 less people so that you aren't bumping into another person. Everything was clean and organized. Definitely would come again and will look into joining a local class in Dallas. read more

Amazing workout! The staff is so friendly. I love the fact that whatever teacher I have, the workout is at the same difficulty level. I used to belong to a club and have to rearrange my schedule around the "good" teachers. Every instructor here is amazing! Instructors take the time to make sure you are in the right position to feel the burn and mix up the workout so you won't be bored. They are encouraging and make sure you get the maximum benefit out of the workout. You will notice the results in your core after a short few weeks. I will come back because i am connected to the process and look forward to spending time with PURRE BARRE and the friendly instructors. I am 52 so all are welcome. Pure Barre is not just for the young girls. read more

Did a class here through class pass and loved it! I came a few minutes early and the instructor gave me tips and explained some of the moves. It was a difficult class to get through. Although the movements are small, they're targeted isolation so that muscle group is on fire! Would love to come back again read more

First class at PBWL (booked via ClassPass). The studio faces the street and is very easy to find. The owner, staff and instructors are really friendly and welcoming, and our instructor- Amber, took time after class to clarify doubts that I had about some of the exercises we did during the class, especially the ones performed under the bar which can really make you go WTF. The class is very fast-paced and it can be tricky to follow for a first timer. The music is a little loud, and hearing the instructor was a little difficult. But Amber was observant and helpful and stepped in to correct my poses at regular intervals. I wish that she would've given easier or advanced variations of some poses to make the class more customizable, but made up for it by helping out post class. The facility is a little on the smaller side, but very well equipped with a spacious bathroom, lockers, lotion and even hair accessories for those who forget bobby pins! They have a collection of workout clothes and socks on sale as well, but they're definitely a little on the pricey side. Since PBWL is pretty close to where I live, their Saturday morning class is definitely something I'll go back for! read more

I've tried several different barre/Pure Barre studios in the city, and PBWL is definitely the best I've been to! The studio is very nice , it isn't difficult to get into classes (which means the room is never jam packed), and the instructors are friendly. And of course the workouts are challenging and a great way to tune out the world for 55 minutes. I would definitely recommend this studio to anyone who is interested in trying out barre. read more
