Dave Delaney, Project Manager was exceptional for the second year in a row. Last year we had our front lawn done and this week , Dave oversaw the turf install in our backyard. He was as knowledgeable, responsive, punctual and pleasant & personable as one could be. The crew was the same 4 gentlemen as last year and they also were terrific. A+ service and a great product . read more

Sometimes problems occur in all businesses. It is how the company resolves those problems that truly measures their quality and integrity. In 2022 we had a high quality artificial turf product installed in our backyard. After several years we noticed a cosmetic defect appear that we could not fix. I emailed Brett Jillson, the manager at the San Marcos store about what was happening and sent him some photos. He quickly came over to my house to assess the issue. He confirmed that there was a manufacturing defect in one section of the turf and told me the entire lawn would be replaced under warranty at no charge to me. We set up a date and his crew of 5 installers were at my house at 7AM. They tore up the old turf, reapplied all of the various underlayment products, and installed the new turf. The job was completed by 4:30PM that same day. Their workmanship was meticulous and they were all such nice hard working young men. The lawn looks FANTASTIC!! I would recommend Purchase Green in San Marcos to anyone looking for a new artificial lawn. read more

We got three estimates for the artificial grass and went with Purchase Green. Everything Dave (the sales representative) said was done. The office kept us informed. The installation crew worked as a team, leaving us a beautiful green look and a clean project after the installation. While it's not an inexpensive project, we definitely got our moneys worth. read more

This is our second time using Purchase Green. They installed turf in our front yard two years ago. Dave Delany, their Estimator/Project Manager was extremely professional in all of his interactions with us. He helped us select a turf that was very close to the one we already had in our front yard. The original was no longer manufactured. He also let us know about a potential problem, sun glare from our west facing windows, that could potentially melt the turf. He suggested a vendor that could provide darked screens that would prevent the problem. We acted on his suggestion. On the day of installation, Dave was the first to arrive and walked the job with us, discussing last minute details. The crew arrived early and went right to work, covering our newly coated driveway and sidewalk with tarps to prevent damage from the sand and DG they needed to deliver. Vicente, the crew leader had led the team that installed our front yard, and we were glad to have him back. He kept us informed as the work progressed. The installation team was efficient and cleaned up at the end of each day. The work was completed in three days, as promised and the yard looks amazing! Could not be more pleased with the product, the installation and the professionalism of the entire Purchase Green team. read more

I needed a small piece of turf for a project and I called to see if they had the size I needed. I was greeted politely on the phone and all my questions were answered. When I went in to pick up the turf, Sayumy was very helpful in helping me decide which turf would best fit my needs for the best price. Will definitely use Purchase Green again! read more

Always so helpful! Always recommending the best stuff for our lawn. Bret was amazing

We have had the San Marcos Purchase Green crew install grass on two different locations for us and both turn out exquisite. The quality of the product and the design and application were perfect. Everyone who helped us was very professional and friendly starting with Sayumy who we met first in their showroom. We highly recommend this company. read more

Went with Purchase Green after getting quite a few estimates on our backyard project. Dave came out and was very professional in getting us an estimate next day and in with negotiating the price. The crew came out the day of, was on time both days, courteous, worked hard, and did a great job cleaning up. We had a few changes in plans, even the day installation and Dave personally got down on his hands and knees with the saw for 2 hours to help us get exactly what we wanted/needed. I loved working with Dave, he was just a genuinely nice guy - and thats probably why we went with Purchase Green. Also, IMO definitely go with the "premium install" and the bend-a-board install. Thank you to Dave and Purchase Green for a great job read more

I will give Purchase Green 10 stars if I could! Excellent service, honest presentation and best prices. Kudos to Brett and Dave for taking time to help with our sewer drain issue. They both went above and beyond our expectations to install turf and putting green in our front/back yard. They brought the best crew out there who were respectful and full of energy with the job and additional work we requested. We selected purchase green after taking quotes from licensed and non-licensed contactors. PG come out on top with both their product and service. Thanks! read more

I just got my lawn installed just last week and I love it. Dave Delaney was the project manager, he was on site for the whole install watching over his excellent crew making sure all were on task. I initially posted a 1 star review, and I am upgrading it after having several conversations with the company. The 2nd purchase of grass did not match our previous purchase. We were initially told it's because it was a different batch & we could put a border between the 2 grasses. The color was so different my husband and I could not believe it was only a batch difference & that we weren't given the wrong grass. With further emails, they agreed that we could exchange the grass & they agreed to pick up and deliver new grass. When we went to the store, they were kind enough to get down the batch they cut from. We brought samples to compare. It's still not exact but we can now see the point. They offered to pull down more batches, let us take a sample of the grass. We were told we could even wait a couple more weeks to make up our minds. I really appreciate the flexibility. I just wish we were given a heads up of how different the batches could be in advance. I would have pre purchased since I new we would be completing our project in a year and needing more grass. read more

I had my backyard turf installed by Purchase Green a few weeks ago. I was a bit nervous on taking the plunge because of all the stories you read. I read a bunch of reviews and got quotes from 3 companies. I chose Purchase Green because Kyle Boyd was straight forward gave me all the details, answered all my questions and I felt a genuine honestly and trust from home. Secondly their pricing was great. The service throughout was great even my first day when I was getting concerned and wanting to micromanage the process. I was reassured and can't be happier with the results. The crew did a fabulous job!! Highly recommend!! read more

Just completed turf installations in both our primary and rental homes. Both yards had been badly damaged by rabbits and watering the unsightly lawns was no longer sustainable. It was a significant investment, however, after completing our primary home we quickly realized the value added and practicality of this decision. The zero maintenance requirement along with the elimination of watering was a significant benefit and solidified our decision to move forward with our rental home, too. Brett at San Marcos purchase Green provided professional assistance and took the time to guide me through the process to carefully select the best turf for each home at the best price point. They have competitive pricing and sale priced items, as well. What sets them apart is their product knowledge and customer service. I would highly recommend Purchase Green over box stores and other facilities where turf is not their primary product and specialty. read more

Where do I begin? Sean is so patient and knowledgeable. As a Do It Yourselfer, I was nervous about taking on this task as it is a heavy lift...literally. Sean walked me through the base layers, weed barriers, grass recommendations, infill, and tools to use while installing. Even today, after it was all installed, he was available for me when I was asking questions about how to smooth out the infill. What a great company. read more

Both lawns look great. Kyle was our consultant. He is great. Knowledgeable, accurate, with excellent follow up. We had several different grasses that we were interested in. Kyle walked us through how different technologies worked and made recommendations to fit our taste. The installation crew had great attitudes and worked extremely hard. They did a great job, see pics. They're cleanup was near perfect. I recommend meeting with Kyle before buying turf from someone else. Using the Groom 25L. Great for picking up leaves, twigs, etc off the lawn. Real time saver compared to doing by hand. read more

Our daughter purchased her turf from purchase green and was very pleased with the service. So naturally when we were ready to purchase turf for our home, we went to purchase green. They had a good choice of styles to choose from. We received a quote from a very friendly young lady. We were not quite ready to purchase at that time. The following week we called to make a few small changes to our quote, we spoke with Brett and he was more than accommodating. We called on a Monday and received delivery on Tuesday. The driver was also very friendly. Yes There are many turf places to choose from out there, however in the world we live in right now, where no one wants to work and customer service is rare, purchase green was a breath of fresh air. Their customer service was amazing. If you are looking for Turf, I recommend purchase green! read more

Needed to purchase a smaller amount of the same artificial green that I have in my backyard from almost 4 years ago but not longer had my receipt. They really helped advise me on both purchase & self instillation. They were pretty adamant on perfectly level excavating. However, I thought it would look fake so I went with a more natural "lumpy" look as shown in the photo. Exactly what I wanted. Thanks guys. read more

I wanted to complete a "do it yourself" project in my new apartment's backyard. Since it's not my permanent home I wanted to be cost-effective but also do a good enough job where my pups could enjoy the small backyard for the next year or 2. I worked with Chad, Sergio, and Brian- all were extremely helpful, patient, & answered all my questions thoroughly (& I had a lot of questions since I'd never done this before & knew nothing about artificial lawns). I purchased remnants at a reduced price & they set me up with additional items I needed. The yard came better than I thought, my dogs love it, & I didn't have to spend a fortune. It's not perfect (these guys are lawn artists if you look at their professional work) but mine is super cute & functional & it's what I need for right now. I would absolutely recommend Purchase Green- staff is highly knowledgeable & professional. Thank you again! :) (here are some before & after photos!) read more

Purchase Green has an excellent selection of artificial turf at a range of price points. We chose the Eco-Olive 80 and absolutely love it. It was a little more expensive than most, but the color is so rich, and it looks so natural it was well worth the extra money. None of that shiny artificial look. Plus, their staff was very knowledgable and patient with answering all our questions as we were comparing all our options, and they have a large selection to choose from. Bottom line, they have a quality product at a good price with great service. Just note, their store is small, and a bit hard to find at the corner of Nordall and 78, but well worth the trip over there. We are very satisfied customers! read more
