Pups Pet South Loop is, without a doubt, the best doggy daycare in Chicago! From the moment I moved here in April 2024, I was lucky enough to meet Jenn, the incredible district manager, who immediately made me feel at ease. She and her team truly care about every pup that comes through their doors. Every time I drop off my dogs, Tammy and Wanda (aka the TaWandas), the staff greets us with big smiles and so much enthusiasm. It's clear they genuinely love what they do, and that means the world to a dog owner. Whether it's daycare, boarding, grooming, or training, I know my pups are in the best hands. What I love most is how excited Tammy and Wanda are to go to Pups Pet South Loop--tails wagging, eager to run inside. That's how I know this place is special. Don't take your dogs to any dog daycare unless you know the staff are actual people with dog handling or training experience, or even that if anything. I would rather leave my dogs with family than ever leave them in any boarding. I know its not all but its mostly all that don't really put care and attention to your pets. I worked in one for one week and im not saying its the staffs fault for incompetent management, the staff are nice people but not people i would trust to take care of my pets. Please, please! be careful where you leave your fur babies with. read more

The PUPS Pet Club South Loop is my most favorite place ever! Hi! My name is Oliver and I am a very special dog with a yucky beginning but now my life is awesome, lots of thanks to Amber and Jen at PUPS Pet Club! Amber is my girlfriend and Jen is the boss. I love them SO much and my mom calls them my surrogate parents. I don't know what that means, but I know when my mom tells me we're going to 'Amber-care', I race all the way there, nearly ripping my mom's arm off! Oh, did I tell you I have lots of furry friends at PUPS too? My mom tells me I am very popular and Amber says so too! Very thankful for Pups. We rented an airbnb in the South Loop. Said they were pet friendly but after I paid was told my dog couldn't stay in apartment alone. We already had tickets to a cubs game. Dog mom here freaked out and then reached out to Pups. They called me in less than 30 mins and had a place for our girl for Saturday. It was really cool that I was able to check in on her during the game via video too. She had never done a doggie daycare by herself without my mom's dog. Thank you again. read more

If you were looking to take your dog here for daycare, don't. Their website and fancy facade is a sham. Please learn from my mistakes and go elsewhere. - Your dog will ignored by college students who sit on their phone the entire time - The employees that you communicate with via email and phone will not express the concerns you have for your dog to the employees ***who actually watch and touch your dog*** - dogs are never taken outside, ever. - if your dog is harassed, it will be put in a kennel. - If you share your concerns to the General Manager, she will tell you that you "should have told the front desk" and block your email from further communication. This place lied to me and I'm sure they're doing it to other dog owners. The sales rep Gabby took about a week to get back to me and when she did we scheduled a first day for my dog. She told me to get there between 7 and 8 AM so the staff could get to know my dog before a ton of other dogs showed up. She also told me that all of the dogs get taken outside mid day to use the bathroom. When I showed up around 8 AM the lady didn't even ask for my dogs name she just took my dog and brought her in to the back. I tried to tell her that it was my dogs first time at daycare but she didn't seem to care. I logged into the WebCam access they gave me and watched the attendants ignore my dog and all of the other dogs. My dog got in a couple of fights the attendants ignored and then stood in the corner for about 7 hours. I received a report card at 10:29 AM which basically just lied about my dog's experience 100%. They said that she was snuggling with other dogs, people, and was relaxed. They said she had a pitbull friend. She had no friends. This is all bullshit. She was clearly uncomfortable and I know that because my husband and I watch the WebCam basically all day and she was standing in the corner and by the exit door. It completely ruined my trust in businesses like this and I will never take my dog to another daycare center again. I told Gabby that I was taking my dog here so she could socialize a bit more, but I think I traumatized her. She was so happy to come home. This place clearly doesn't have a problem lying to dog owners and has no integrity. Please do not take your dog here. You will be lied to and your dog will be ignored all day. read more

I have used the South Loop Pups location for the last year since bringing my dog to Chicago and can not recommend this location enough. The whole staff has been nothing but helpful and welcoming for my dog. Every time I have to schedule a visit or go inside to pick up/drop off, Jennifer has always been beyond amazing at customer service and taking care of my dog. Even though I moved out of South Loop to Lakeview I still take my dog to be boarded at this location, the staff make her feel so comfortable and it makes me feel so much more at ease knowing she's in amazing hands. Andi is truly exceptional and consistently goes the extra mile to provide amazing care for all the dogs I see her interact with. We've taken our pup a few times to get groomed here. We haven't taken him here anymore as last time he got groomed he was traumatized. They cut the bottom of his paw to the point that when we got back home we noticed there was blood on the floor. Also, the next time we have our dog a bath he was so traumatized that we wouldn't let us blow dry him. I feel like maybe they were rough with him. We have since switched groomers and have not had any issues since. read more

My dog got Mange while staying there - that's mites which burrow under her skin, and cause a dog to lose their fur. I'm sickened by how much the facility cost and how much my dog is suffering from their unclean facilities. read more

We used the new South Loop location for our senior pup for an overnight stay and for a bath and blow dry - they did a wonderful job! The staff was so kind and accommodating for our schedule and for administering meds. (And they don't charge extra for meds). They were also able to squeeze in a bath for him before he came home. He was clean and fluffy and happily exhausted after his stay. We will definitely be returning! read more

I bring my 4 month old Poodle here for grooming and daycare. The staff are so kind and make her feel like a celebrity every time she comes in. Dya does a great job with her grooms and my pup gets so excited whenever I ask her if she wants to go to daycare! read more

Just here to say that Ryan and Christine's Reactivity Resolution classes at the South Loop Pups location have been so great for my reactive pup. While I've been learning useful tools it's also providing a safe space for my dog to get more comfortable being around other dogs in a controlled environment. We've been taking our pup here for a year and a half after we adopted her at 6th months. She's an American Pitbull Terrier and maintaining high quality socialization was key for us. We also aren't originally from Chicago, so being able to rely on overnights was critical for us so we could vacation with peace of mind. The staff here is incredible, it's more than just a job to them, they truly love and bond with each and everyone of the dogs here. We have utilized daycare, training, boarding, and overnights (where they go home with a staff member) throughout our time. Our trainer is the absolute best and has worked with our pup in the daycare room and at home and on walks making our life so much easier. Daycare hours are perfect for our schedule (7a-7p). They've also notified us when our pup was sick or acting weird ensuring we got proper care and kept her home until she recovered. I'll also add that as with any socialization it's possible for a dog to get injured or hurt during play (even the most friendly kind). We've had a few scratches and incidents, they always promptly let us know and conduct amazing first aid. They also are balanced in understanding behaviors among the dogs. 100% would recommend! read more

We've had a great experience working with their expert trainer Ryan for our dog Bella! Hes done a great job helping to safely introduce her to other dogs and help with her reactivity! We've wanted to bring her to daycare for socializing but were nervous given a past traumatic experience at a dog park that she would be too overwhelmed - Ryan is helping with that fear by even doing a training session at the daycare with her! We've been taking our dog (maltese/bichon mix) to PUPS since the summer of 2022, shortly after it opened and we were approached on the street by the friendly manager (Jenn) while walking him. We had been going to Kraiser's on State for a couple years and were getting frustrated because they seemed to always default to wanting to shave him, so we decided to give it a shot. We made an appointment with Tanner, who is super friendly and knowledgeable, and he really seemed to know and understand the breed well. Each groom has been really great and our dog seems to leave happy each time. It's not cheap, but no groomers are, and the experience has been worth it. They also seem to have more appointments available than the other options in the Sloop, so get in while they're still gaining their footing! read more
