We brought him to The Dog Wash for the self service wash today and honestly had so much fun! The owners are so sweet and helpful, and Auburn did such an amazing job cutting our anxious dog's nails. They provide everything from soaps to scrubbers to aprons to towels, even lifting help if you have a big guy like we do. The stations are super clean and well stocked. They even gave him a cute bandana on our way out! And at $10 for a wash and $5 for a nail trim, it was a steal! This will definitely be our go to spot next time Mackie needs a spa day :)

Saying that also states that "I know better"…read more My dogs are all small bath dogs and as much as I love huskys I swore I would never own one because of the hard work it entails keeping that coat up. Well fate had it that I fell in love with the owner of a Wooly Husky. I had to stop grooming myself due to severe asthma that sent me to the er multiple times. It was difficult because I absolutely loved grooming. Hard work but rewarding. Still I took my dog to a self serve dog wash but the dryers can barely blow out a candle let alone a hairy husky. I had a friend of mine groom her in the fall and between October and yesterday her coat got out of control. So tail tucked between my legs I brought her into Blooming Tails. These girls are real and I could tell that helping my dog feel more comfortable was important to them. She's a fire cracker for brushing her back side yet they carried on. When I picked her up she looked like a new dog and I felt so much better knowing she can be more comfortable in this summer heat. I am so grateful for the time and effort they put in to making my girl feel better. I highly recommend them Jennifer Tribolet

Our 9 year old pit mix was boarded with Shannon for a weekend. Apparently, according to Shannon, my baby tried to crawl her way out of a crate. This happened Friday night. I wasn't notified, she didn't go to the vet. Instead, she put Bella in the bathtub, bleeding everywhere because Bella was scratched up, 3 nails were completely torn off, and she had scratches and scars by her eyes and chest. Instead, I wasn't notified until I picked her up 2 days later! The only thing she said to me was "I put her in the bathtub and then she was fine ". Holy crap! My dog is STILL not fine. She's emotionally destroyed and traumatized, she's seen the vet twice for medication and 2 antibiotics, Anxiety meds, pain meds, you name it. Shannon cared SOmuch, I guess she forgot to call me and ask how Bella was doing. I have a serious issue with this person and her business. As a pet owner, hearing my story, I would hope you would, too. Please take this to heart and truly think before you take your fur family here. If dogs could talk, I would love to know what REALLY happened, as things aren't adding up at all. Thank you for reading this really long post, but I hope you learned something.

BEWARE OF PRICE GAUGING - Minooka Aminal Hospital…read more I was told I needed a prescription for my kitten which I gladly went to pick up. The bill was $100. A few minutes after leaving I did a little research and found that these are available elsewhere and that a prescription is not required. I can get the same exact items elsewhere for HALF the price. I totally understand that markups are to be expected but at 100%?!?! I called immediately and was told that I could not come back for a refund and that I would have to wait for the office manager to call me. She never called me back and I was finally able to get in contact with her after 3 attempts. In the end she told me that company policy is that they would NOT take them back nor provide any sort of refund. In my opinion the word "prescription" means that you can't get it over the counter and only through a veterinarian. I should have been given the option so that I could do some research beforehand to determine where I would make my purchase. I fully support local businesses and I did try and do the right thing and reach out to the business for resolution but there was no compassion nor willingness to compromise. I am only providing this information so that others can ask the appropriate questions and make the right decision for them.
