Our girl Kiera enjoyed her spa day at Pup E Cutz with Maria! I knew from the initial phone call I had finally found a groomer for Kiera. While I've had many dogs, none that required regular grooming. Maria was very helpful telling us the different options to groom a golden. I was happy to find out they allow the dogs roam, and don't use cages. Kiera got a bath, a cut, deshedding, the works! She's attentive and caring to his old man needs. I also have a 1.5 yr old 80 lb Australia Shepard who can be a handfull. I believe he was abused at one point by a veterinarian when I had him neutered. He loves other dogs but has trust issues with people now. Maria did great with him and now he loves her. Don't ever board your dog with "Maria Ledbetter", the owner of "Pup'e Cutz" located at: 124 S Federal Hwy Suite 2 Pompano Beach FL 33062 We thought our beloved 5 yr old "teddy bear" was in good care with Maria, however, we had to board our dog with her from February 6-10, 2021 because my Mom had passed away. Maria boards animals in her home, which I was ok with that but I have told her multiple times that we keep our dog in a carrier at night as well as when we aren't at home during the day for our dogs own safety. I have also offered to bring our personal carrier to her house multiple times but she said it was not necessary. During the weekend of my mom's funeral, Maria called to give me details of "how bad my little 13 lb dog had been while she stepped out for a few hours and proceeded to inform me that my dog ate her husbands premade lunch sack that had been left out on their kitchen table. Obviously, she left our dog unattended AND they didn't put her in a confined space. My dog, like any unattended dog would do, jumped up on a chair and up onto the top of their table and ate most all of what was in the lunch bag, including chocolate and other candies. Needless to say, my dog was very ill!! You would think that Maria would have apologized for her carelessness, however, she just said that my dog had been bad and was a little perturbed with what she had done. When I went to pick up my dog, I again reminded Maria that she should have put her in a cage or a safe place before leaving her alone and at the very least she should have put anything knowingly harmful to my dog; out of her reach. Fast forward, Memorial Day weekend 2021, I decided to give Maria another chance to board my dog since we planned a last minute trip for the weekend. Unbelievably, she called me yet again to tell me that while she was asleep; my dog got into her large purse she left on her table that had all of her snacks and a one lb. bag of chocolate covered almonds in it!!! She said, "during the middle of the night, I heard a loud thump but decided not to get up to check on what the noise was & when I woke up, I found my purse on the floor and the entire bag of chocolate covered almonds gone!!! Needless to say my dog was very, very sick!!! She proceeded to tell me that she made her "throw everything up, 3 big piles" and she is fine for now. Once again, Maria's position was that my dog had misbehaved and was very bad. She didn't take any responsibility for not putting our dog in carrier or safe place and by my dog out during the middle of the night and Maria leaving chocolate in a place that a small dog could access, just like the first time a couple of months before, she expressed no apologies for her irresponsibility and blamed my dog!!!! If all of that doesn't take the cake..... after telling me that my beloved dog could have died due to her irresponsibility & carelessness she went on to tell me that she forgot to tell me that her price was now $10 more a day!!!!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! I told Maria we would not be using her ever again because of her carelessness, irresponsibility & illogical & irrational reasoning is totally unforgivable! Since I wasn't due to fly home for two more days and because I was extremely concerned about our dogs health & safety, I immediately got in touch with a family member who was able to get my dog out of the "uncare" of Maria Ledbetter and we had no choice but to pay her ridiculous fee increase. I am just so thankful that my dog seems to be recovering and I pray that she doesn't suffer any irreversible illness! Don't take a chance on your pet by doing any business with this woman! Update: June 5, 2021 - After Maria Ledbetter, owner of Pup'e Cutz almost killed my dog twice because of her irresponsibility while I was boarding my dog with her, I left a bad review last Sunday (Memorial day weekend). Place is too small. Entrance door is not locked while handling pets in the handling area. They groom on the table in the same space that they daycare other pets who are rome free in a very small room. My pet was stressed and I would not recommend this place. read more

If you love your dog PLEASE DO NOT take him/her to this groomer.. we had the WORST experience ever.. I decided to use this groomer based on the good reviews and the fact that when I called they sounded nice, they told me they do not caged the animals, that they were a family owned business and that Maria and her husband operated the business together, everything sounded great so I decided to use them, BIG MISTAKE! I took my 8pd morkie there to get a puppy cut, when I picked up my dog he didnt look that great, the puppy cut looked different, and my dog was very calm/sad looking, he usually is very playful and happy, I should have known something was wrong but I was in a hurry since I was late to work and my boyfriend was waiting for me in the car, so I didn't think anything of it. I paid Maria for the grooming, while my dog was on the floor with the others. I didn't notice much until I brought him home and my boyfriend checked him, the do was exhausted as you can see in the pics, he had clipper burns on his neck, his nails were cut so short it look like he had bled from them, he licked them for 4 days, the haircut was horrible as you can see in the photos that I posted and the worst part was that my dog who is a very happy dog was extremely sad for 3 days.. 20 minutes after leaving I contacted Maria via text and sent her photos of my dog and let her know that we were not happy with the haircut and about the nails and clipper rash, the worst part about this was that she did not reply to any of my texts, and over a week later I still have not heard from her, no apology, NOTHING.. A responsible Groomer would've called me and been concerned about my dog, but this woman just ignored my texts.. this makes me wonder if some of these reviews on here are fake because I'm sure we're not the first people that this has happens to. These people are in it for the money, they don't care about the animals, it's obvious I think she should be more compassionate and do a better job grooming the animals, maybe go back to grooming school because she literally butchered my dog. PLEASE don't be a fool like me and trust these people,I love my baby and I feel guilty that I took my dog to a place like this to have someone hurt him this way, because god only knows how they treated him there. I can't say enough good things about Pup'e Cutz. I just feel so grateful I was able to find them. First off, they totally squeezed us into their schedule right when we called them. We were traveling and wanted to get our dog, who was sandy from the beach, groomed before hitting the road. It was so generous how accommodating they were. One of my first impressions once we arrived was Maria; she sat down on a stool to meet my dog and get to know her. I have a very tiny 2 1/2 pound TeaCup Yorkie and she has very fragile legs. I keep her hair all the way to the floor. She looks like a pretty little dust mop running around my home. Maria grooms her every 3 weeks and does a beautiful job of it! I was very nervous having to change groomers at first. My little girl loves going to Maria. All I have to do is tell her, "We're going to see Maria today" and she gets so excited. We both love Maria! Every time she comes home to me she looks and smells beautiful! Phenomenal experience! Maria was super knowledgeable, kind, helpful, and professional. We were in Pompano Beach for a short vacation and brought in our cavalier King Charles spaniel Max for a much needed full groom - Maria did a spectacular job! I think this is a very disorganized place. The dogs are everywhere walking all around the tiny area . They make appointments for no reason since there are like 10 dogs all over the place plus you don't know when the service will be finished since there is no organization at all. FYI When an animal is not used to being crated and is taking somewhere and place in a crate they are going to be overstressed so that will not be a good experience for them. I just recently bought a condo in hat area. My Pomeranian is 6 months old and I was very nervous to leave her anywhere.
