Very loving and gentle with all pets. Thoughtful, personalized service. Make pets feel at home while there.

Love this groomer! They did an excellent job on my Coco Cavapoo. She came out looking like a show dog!! They also allow friendly dogs who get along with other pups to roam freely and play without being caged which is a really great perk. It was a great experience all around and my puppy had so much fun. I love the bandana and furry bow. See you guys soon! read more

I'm so grateful to have come across this place. Melissa was so attentive to our senior cat asking me all the questions which I wish our previous groomer would've asked. Tiki is about 18 y/o and usually l gets a cold after we take her to get groomed . At the time of setting up the apt Melissa asked if our cat would tolerate a bath and cut , and explained how it's common for senior cats to catch a cold when stressed and left with little fur when they are already thin and fragile. Tiki came out looking like a queen and I know she was in good hands . Highly recommend this place ! Thanks Melissa and team! We'll be back ! read more

We had our Persian cat expertly groomed today and have never been happier. She looks good enough to be shown and came home as calm and happy as ever. We will be bringing our male there as soon as he needs a grooming. Could nor be happier. read more

I took my five year old cat for his first cat cut ever. Mel was very welcoming to him and I, and she comfort us both lol. The place is at a nice location and the Java Cat and dog is very clean. It doesn't smell like dog or cat :) Very sweet and kind, even though my cat was a terrible customer, they did a great job on the traditional lion cut. So I recommend this place to every cat owner and dog owners. I would have liked it if they accepted credit cards though, since I never carry cash. Other than that, wonderful experience. read more

Java Cat and Dog Spa, I finally feel at home. We recently moved up to Pompano Beach from Miami and I have been searching for a groomer that I am comfortable with, I click with and I'm happy with the results and at last I have. I tried out two other groomers up here so far, while both did a good job, they were just not the right fit. Melissa is friendly, professional, sweet AND did a fabulous job on my fur babies! They were groomed to perfection, I could not be happier...AND she keeps notes on how she groomed them for consistency. While this was our first visit to Java, we won't be going anywhere else. Top notch service, two thumbs up!! UPDATE: Still in LOVE with Melissa, Sam, and everyone at Java!! My dogs are sheer perfection every time!! I'm going to try to post a pic or two read more

Java Cats had been grooming my dogs for years now, at least a decade, very possibly more. It's located off a side street near where I grew up, I guess if you don't know the area it might be a bit difficult to find, but it's not really. The owner is a super nice lady Melissa (she also grooms our fur-babies), and there is another super nice girl there too, Jen. The service is great! They do a really good job on my cantankerous and difficult little munchkin. He's a fighter when it comes to being brushed, but they get it done. The ladies there have always been sweet and accommodating. I can really only take my dog Kiko to them on Saturday, and they always find a spot for him even when I forget to make the appointment before Wednesday (they are closed Sunday to Tuesday-so I would have to remember to call a week ahead of time, which unfortunately I almost never do). The animals are all loose in an enclosed area and not caged, which I like. I think caging them is like putting them in doggie prison, and Kiko is a rescue so I don't want him remembering his tough time at the pound. Java cats is very clean, and Kiko always comes out looking so perfect and handsome! Like a little bear, a little Ewok with big brown eyes, so cute! I am always so happy with the results! I trust Java Cats implicitly with my most precious treasure, Kiko. So if you're looking for the best groomer in town, come here. They never disappoint. read more

A special shout out to Corrina. Luna enjoyed her day at the Spa. Corrina provided the works; Ears cleaned, teeth brushed, nails trimmed, and a super dupper bubble bath. Luna's coat is silky soft. I was recommended here by a friend in the neighborhood. After being very disappointed with a mobile grooming service, it was a great surprise to realize there was an amazing groomer a block away. Everyone I've spoken to here is great but Lauren is amazing, she does such a fabulous job. I'm happy I've found a place my dog and I are comfortable with! read more

Our cat has medium to long fur and she kept getting hairballs caught in her throat. A veterinarian suggested trying a "Lion Cut". I asked around and Melissa was highly recommended. She did a wonderful job and within a week of her grooming, our 16 yr old seemed 10 years younger and is much happier. So am I! Thank you Melissa! We will definitely be back to see you. read more

As good as it gets! My family and I have been taking our pets here for over 5 years. Melissa and her staff are so incredibly kind and attentive. There's a certain level of trust any pet groomer, baby sitter, at-home nurse, etc. must have with their clients. After all, your dog can't exactly tell you they've been hurt, how, and by whom. With my parents' 2 Yorkie girls (may they rest in peace) and currently, the czar of my household - a Persian cat named Klaus, Java Cat & Dog Spa's groomers have been wonderful in both personality and skill. Expect a smile as soon as you walk in, a genuine interest in your pet and his or her well-being, and a great haircut/wash at pick-up. There's a lot, so finding parking couldn't be easier, and the prices are standard. And if for some strange reason you happen to think they're over-charging, you get what you pay for and since these furry little monsters are your family, I think it's better to pay a little extra knowing they're in a safe environment being tended to by people who are not only talented but actually care. Best grooming salon in South Florida hands down! read more

I have a loving, short-haired rescued dog. Thus, Beau doesn't need to be groomed as often as longer-hair dogs. Yet, I bring him in more frequently than necessary. As Melissa (owner) and her lovely staff pamper him as if he was their own (wish my local salons treated me like Beau is always cared for at Java Cat & Dog Spa). We always feel a beautiful wave of sunshine when entering this little oasis for pets and their parents. Beau always leaves there thrilled by his play time with fellow dog customers and how wonderful he looks and feels. Not only is Michelle and her staff, top quality, expert, detailed groomers, they all seem to be "dog whisperers (and cats)". I have never experience a problematic, poorly trained dog and/or cat within this Positive Energy Spa. What a blessing finding Java Cat & Dog Spa!!! read more

This place is amazing the owner takes good care of my dog. She pays attention to his ears to make sure if there infected or not. Let's me know if my dog has fleas and then takes care of them for me. They let me know if my dog has dry skin or new bumps they haven't seen before. They use a blueberry facial on my dogs face which smells amazing and gets his face nice and white. Plus it's a cage free shop and my puppy loves that he gets to play and run with all the toys Melissa has for the shop. I highly recommend this grooming shop. read more

Meliss is the best! If you want your pet to be pampered and look perfect java is you're place!!

I am a fairly new dog owner. My 7-month old terrier/shepard mix has long hair and desperately needed a haircut and some styling. I looked around online, and was very impressed with both the reviews and comments about the atmosphere of the spa for Java. I called to make an appointment; it was very easy, the woman was very patient and explained how everything worked. I took Trixie in and was a little worried because she is a bit confrontational with other dogs when she's on the leash, but they immediately integrated her with similar-sized dogs and she was already playing when I left. They called me three hours later, and I picked up the most beautiful, happy, well-groomed dog. Her cut is exactly what I wanted. She looks absolutely beautiful, and they added a little foofy thing on her head which as a guy I'd never think I would've liked so much. The staff was wonderful, Melissa was sweet and thoughtful, they gave me all the details of how she behaved, and she's been sleeping for hours, as she's obviously exhausted from playing with her new friends. read more
