They also allow friendly dogs who get along with other pups to roam freely and play without being caged which is a really great perk. I'm so grateful to have come across this place. Melissa was so attentive to our senior cat asking me all the questions which I wish our previous groomer would've asked. Tiki is about 18 y/o and usually l gets a cold after we take her to get groomed . At the time of setting up the apt Melissa asked if our cat would tolerate a bath and cut , and explained how it's common for senior cats to catch a cold when stressed and left with little fur when they are already thin and fragile. I took my five year old cat for his first cat cut ever. Mel was very welcoming to him and I, and she comfort us both lol. The place is at a nice location and the Java Cat and dog is very clean. It doesn't smell like dog or cat :) Very sweet and kind, even though my cat was a terrible customer, they did a great job on the traditional lion cut. Java Cats had been grooming my dogs for years now, at least a decade, very possibly more. It's located off a side street near where I grew up, I guess if you don't know the area it might be a bit difficult to find, but it's not really. The owner is a super nice lady Melissa (she also grooms our fur-babies), and there is another super nice girl there too, Jen. The service is great! They do a really good job on my cantankerous and difficult little munchkin. He's a fighter when it comes to being brushed, but they get it done. The ladies there have always been sweet and accommodating. I can really only take my dog Kiko to them on Saturday, and they always find a spot for him even when I forget to make the appointment before Wednesday (they are closed Sunday to Tuesday-so I would have to remember to call a week ahead of time, which unfortunately I almost never do). The animals are all loose in an enclosed area and not caged, which I like. I think caging them is like putting them in doggie prison, and Kiko is a rescue so I don't want him remembering his tough time at the pound. Java cats is very clean, and Kiko always comes out looking so perfect and handsome! Like a little bear, a little Ewok with big brown eyes, so cute! I am always so happy with the results! I trust Java Cats implicitly with my most precious treasure, Kiko. So if you're looking for the best groomer in town, come here. They never disappoint. read more

This place is amazing the owner takes good care of my dog. She pays attention to his ears to make sure if there infected or not. Let's me know if my dog has fleas and then takes care of them for me. They let me know if my dog has dry skin or new bumps they haven't seen before. They use a blueberry facial on my dogs face which smells amazing and gets his face nice and white. Plus it's a cage free shop and my puppy loves that he gets to play and run with all the toys Melissa has for the shop. I highly recommend this grooming shop. read more

I am a fairly new dog owner. My 7-month old terrier/shepard mix has long hair and desperately needed a haircut and some styling. I looked around online, and was very impressed with both the reviews and comments about the atmosphere of the spa for Java. I called to make an appointment; it was very easy, the woman was very patient and explained how everything worked. I took Trixie in and was a little worried because she is a bit confrontational with other dogs when she's on the leash, but they immediately integrated her with similar-sized dogs and she was already playing when I left. They called me three hours later, and I picked up the most beautiful, happy, well-groomed dog. Her cut is exactly what I wanted. She looks absolutely beautiful, and they added a little foofy thing on her head which as a guy I'd never think I would've liked so much. The staff was wonderful, Melissa was sweet and thoughtful, they gave me all the details of how she behaved, and she's been sleeping for hours, as she's obviously exhausted from playing with her new friends. read more
