    Passion fruit cocktail
    May A.

I actually ate here more than a few times on my trip to PR and it became a comfort spot. Stayed at Casa Blanca; The staff there were all really friendly. There was a host who spoke english that typically attended to our needs. They had the bast empanadas in all of Puerto Rico if you ask me. I indulged in their wings and French fries as well, and certain nights I grabbed a passion fruit cocktail. Just overall a 10/10 establishment that I miss dearly. Every time I came here though I was starving and didn't get many photos of my food More info on my travel blog https://artechomes.net/travel/san-juan-pr-couples-trip

Very disappointed. Alcapurrias were cold, soggy and tasteless. Staff not very friendly.

The breakfast burger was well seasoned and hit the spot! The coffee and beer were nice additions to our late brunch! Server was friendly and let us know that she was going on break, and who to look out for. Place was packed but things came out quickly. A nice place to stop and have a break from walking if you get the chance!

They had about 20 min wait for 2 on Saturday morning/afternoon which wasn't bad. Just walked around for a little bit then came back when they called. They have a few outdoor seating chairs but primary seating is indoor, interior was well decorated, well-lit, lots of greenery. They did not have physical menus, had QR codes to scan (I think maybe if you ask them, they might have few physical ones). To start, we didn't order any drinks/alcoholic beverages that morning but they have an extensive list of beverages, cocktails, coffees, juices, wines, etc. to do so, so I wouldn't discourage trying them at all. For food, we ordered the French Mallorca sandwich and the Omelette w/ bacon, potatoes, & toast. Off the bat, it was clear that the French Mallorca was a very popular choice, that sandwich was just good, period (Rating: 8.7/10), soft bread w/ crispy edges, dipping in the syrup was a requirement for this sandwich. On the other hand, the omelette with potatoes, bacon, toast weren't as good. I asked for vegetables cooked into the omelette but it looks like they didn't really cook them down. Potatoes were very good though, seasoned well, honestly carried the meal along with the crispy thick cut bacon (Rating: 6.1/10). I think I really ordered it just as a healthy option, I next time would order something else because they still do have a lot of good option on that menu that I didn't take advantage of. Overall, the service was amazing, very hospitable from the host all the way down to our server. We even had the chance to enjoy live music as a band came in and performed temporarily during our meal. If you are around the area and want to stop by, you have my recommendation. Not bad option at all.

We had a few sandwiches and a chicken empanada. I was expecting a pastry dough filled with meat but it was a breaded and fried chicken breast- my fault for not understanding what I was ordering. It was delicious though.

We were staying in a nearby resort and this was the closest thing that was not commercialized. We only went for the breakfast options and although they were simple breakfast items, they were tasty. When the young man is servicing the counter - he is great...friendly and attentive, However our bad experience was with an older woman servicing the register on a day the young man was not in. There is an entrée of scrambled eggs alone and one with scrambled eggs with pancakes. But because the option that comes with the pancakes is only for plain scrambled eggs if we want anything added to it..such as ham or veggies - it is additional. The times we were there when they guy took care of us, there was just a slight charge for the extra items added to the scrambled eggs however the woman at the counter to find a way to charge more started charging each item separately, the scrambled eggs and the order of pancakes so three orders we would've normally have placed, became six. We were not made aware of this because she did not even bother to explain to us the way she was going charge the order. Maybe in the end we would've had no problem with it and paid anyway but the fact that we had been being charged one way and perhaps because she saw we were tourists, decided to overcharge us- is just sneaky and wrong.
