Dr. Aulakh and his team are simply the best. I always look forward to seeing them and getting my teeth cleaned/examed. Did I just say that? Looking forward to going to the dentist? With this group, it's true. They are the best dental office I have ever been to. Dr. Aulakh has been so wonderful to me and my family from wisdom teeth removal (he personally checked up over the weekend to make sure my son was doing alright) to chatting on the phone when my son knocked a tooth loose on the soccer field, immediately putting my mind at ease. If you don't have insurance, he has some great options for you like the Bannerwood plan or no-nonsense cash prices for dental work. I love that I get to watch Netflix while I'm in the chair. I hadn't been to the dentist in years before heading in to Bannerwood Dentistry, mostly due to a terrible, terrible experience the last time I had dental work done. Most places you go, you'll come out saying the staff were friendly. That was definitely the case here but what sets this place apart from the rest is how they go into detail about the procedures and your teeth! The doc took photos (actual photos not just X-rays) of my teeth then showed me my teeth and what different treatment options would do to help. The visual aspect was really comforting and made me feel a lot more informed about my treatment plan. They were really transparent about costs and what my insurance would and would not cover. I really appreciate how they never talk down to me like I'm dumb. Makes me feel like a human being when I'm in their office:) and you can schedule online and receive reminders via text, which is really convenient. I also really appreciate how diverse the crew is here! 10/10 would recommend. read more

Very Personable!! Dr. Aulakh put in extra time to fix my filling and he suggested how to prevent further problems. I would highly recommend this dentist and I plan on making him my regular dentist. Okay, so I went to Dr. Aulakh 3 times now and every time his staff, Karen and Olga, have been more than accommodating. Since I don't have dental insurance Dr. Aulakh and his staff gave me options to send payments over time instead of all at once. They have definitely adjusted their pricing to my needs and understand that without insurance getting your teeth fixed falls lower on the To-Do list hierarchy. Thus far I have had two GREAT fillings completed and one cleaning. In all of my experience with Dr. Aulakh I have never felt any physical pain in my mouth, even during intensive drilling. Nobody likes going to the dentist. No one that I know of anyways, starting with me. But 5 stars to Aulakh and his staff. The place is great and comfortable. I can talk to him and his staff like I've known them for years. I even did something I thought I would never do, I bragged to my friends about my dentist. I was experiencing some pain and needed immediate attention. Since my husband and I fell out with my previous dentist due to billing issues (don't get me started on that), I was looking for a new dentist in Bellevue area and found Dr. Aulakh on yelp. They were able to accomodate me the next day (!) and like what fellow reviewers had mentioned, Dr. Aulakh worked on me the whole time and did not pass me off to his assistants or hygienists. He was gentle, patient and very thorough..oh, and quite funny. He also took photographs of my teeth and walked me through the "before" and "after". Very neat! Worst dentist ever. Staff is extremely rude. Rachel at the front desk is always EXTREMELY rude and opens any conversation with a combative and condescending attitude and talks down to patients. Dentist always kept me waiting while tending to multiple patients. Dentist work is shoddy and crown came out shortly after installing. BE AWARE: They charged me for things that were not disclosed even after I specifically asked them to let me know what all charges will be billed. I called Dentist to speak about this but he never returned my call. WORST thing is they sent my account to COLLECTIONS EVEN BEFORE THE PAYMENT WAS DUE, which is ILLEGAL as well as TOTALLY UNETHICAL. read more

I came here on the strength of their Yelp reviews, and they were accurate. This practice is fantastic in every way and from every person. I put off some dental work for almost 2 years because I was graduating college, moving, etc. and it just never felt like a priority. Dr. Aulakh and his staff were friendly, didn't make me feel judged, and helped me understand through some nifty use of technology what was happening to my teeth and what work needed to be done. There is not a single time I've spoken to anyone on the staff over the phone or in person that I haven't talked to a cheerful and friendly voice that made me feel okay about getting dental work done. I added my girlfriend to my dental insurance plan in December 2016. We then searched Yep to find a dental care provider for her. We ultimately selected Dr. Aulakh based on the positive reviews. During one of the initial visits, it was recommended that she replace her aging fillings. She agreed to it, however unbeknownst to her, her initial treatments plus the discretionary filling replacements were going to exhaust her benefits before she was even halfway through the year. It's very disappointing that a healthcare provider would not educate their new patients, especially one that is new to dental insurance, of this risk. As a result of their business practices, my girlfriend had exhausted all her benefits less than five months into the benefits cycle. A prudent healthcare professional would have educated her on this and postponed some discretionary procedures until the next benefit cycle, so that there was money available for routine care. When I addressed this with the office staff, I was told that she agreed to the services and that they could provide me with a list of the services that they provided as well as the associated costs. I explained that during her last visit, I stopped by and paid for the services up front (difference between metal and composite filings), yet I had received another bill in the mail for more than what I had just paid. This is when I learned that they had blown through her benefits with the discretionary services. The point of this review is not the cost of the services, it's the fact that they would exhaust the benefits with discretionary services so that the patient is force to pay out of pocket for routine maintenance and care, which is covered under my plan at 100%. Because of their business practices, we have spent more out of pocket there in the last 5 months than I have at my own dentist in the last 5 years. The obvious question...why doesn't my girlfriend go to my dentist. It is too far away and the hours don't work for her. I would not recommend Dr. Aulakh's business to anyone. I would look for a practice that is willing to put the customer's best interests before their own. This office is more concerned with sales than educating the patient and spending the necessary time to develop a reasonable treatment plan. read more

I've been going to Dr. Aulakh for several years now and I wouldn't think of switching. I love his staff too! Everyone is super helpful, friendly, and informative. The doctor, himself, is very knowledgeable and has a good sense of humor. The facility is clean and welcoming. My dental hygienist, Amber, is AWESOME and always remembers that I have sensitivity issues, which I really appreciate it. Another huge confirmation for me is that I recently found Dr. Aulakh and his staff volunteering at a free clinic. A friend recommended this place a couple years back and I haven't dreaded cleanings since. The equipment is up to date and the office is immaculate. I've recommended this place to family & friends and they rave about the treatment they receive here. I don't get treated like "another patient" like most offices----the vibe is a lot more family oriented and the staff recognizes names and faces. Best of all, Dr. Aulahk always recommends what I need done and doesn't pressure me into having unnecessary dental work done. It's hard finding a good quality dentist who isn't after our money. I can tell you that he genuinely cares about his patients and he's awesome about giving time frames of how long (fillings, etc.) will last before wearing out. The staff is wonderful. :) The ladies are always greeting us with a smile. They're always going out of their way to make our dental experience as comfortable as possible. My 8 year old son is also a patient and they have a variety of shows to keep him entertained and he's so preoccupied that he doesn't realize he's having work done. As for parking, the garage is directly underneath the building. I've never had any issues with finding parking spots because there are many spaces (they're just super tiny) but I just park on the side of the uncovered parking. I highly recommend this place. I have been going to Dr. Aulakh for a few years now. The staff is always incredibly helpful and sweet, and Dr. Aulukh is great. My 13 year old son had a terrible experience getting a tooth pulled when he was younger (the Novocaine didn't work), so he is very nervous about going to the dentist. Dr. Aulakh has a great manner with kids and has always made him feel a little less anxious once he gets in the chair. Dr. Aulakh has a camera that he uses to take high res photos of your teeth at different angles. I have found this to be extremely helpful in helping me to see what areas need work, where I might need to spend more time brushing, etc. On my first visit, he worked out a comprehensive plan for me and we have slowly been accomplishing the goals for the past few years (insurance only covers so much per year). They will also work with you to spread payments out on the big items. I have seen a lot of different dentists during my life, and Dr. Aulakh is by far my favorite. My son and I agree that we will keep seeing Dr. Aulakh from now on. read more

Best dental exam I have ever had. Every person on staff that I met today was very friendly. I have never had such a detailed and thorough exam in my life. I've been going to Dr. Aulakh for about 3 years now and have had a fantastic experience. Before him I had avoided dentists for several years, but he's been very accommodating to my discomfort of needles (by using nitrous gas). So far, I've done a few cleanings and fillings, and he removed 3 of my 4 wisdom teeth. For the fourth tooth he suggested that I go to an oral surgeon to minimize post-procedure pain. I always remember him telling me that, I feel that other dentists would have just gone for it - especially if they were already in your mouth. The only thing I've ever disliked is that the patient rooms are semi-private rather than fully private. read more

I found Dr. Puneet Aluakh by looking on Yelp. I needed to get some work done ( a few cavities filled and cleaning ) in preparation for touring on the road with my band for several weeks. No one wants to have dental problems far away from home, and I needed to get the work done fast before my tour started. The office staff was very helpful scheduling my appointment within the week. At the appointment I've never had a doctor be so thorough with my teeth! He took not only x-rays but also full photos of my teeth so he could visually walk me through exactly what he'd be doing and why. Dr. Aulakh and Raney did an amazing job cleaning my teeth and fixing old fillings as well as adding a couple new ones. The pain management was awesome too! I've gone to Dr. Aulakh three times now and I definitely recommend Dr. Aulakh for anyone seeking a dentist. He is very personable while maintaining his professionalism. My first experience was awhile back when I was looking for a new dentist and I thought I go ahead and try Dr. Aulakh out. I went in for a cleaning and I was a bit amazed by the customer service. First he went over with any problems/concerns I may have with the mouth and/or teeth. Then he took x-rays and digital pictures of my teeth so I could see what my teeth look like. He popped them up right in front of me on the monitor (my first thought was what a great picture quality and not so great teeth haha). He went over all the hard to get spots with me and how to tackle those areas with a brush to maintain healthy teeth, and I follow that til this day. Last week, I was experiencing pain with my wisdom teeth so I went to go see Dr. Aulakh again. I had remembered that during my first visit, Dr. Aulakh had mentioned that I may need to get my wisdom teeth extraced; he showed me my x-rays and I could see my wisdom teeth getting in the way of the adjacent teeth. I was told to not worry about it, yet, until they start bothering me and then we can find a solution. I really appreciated his honesty unlike my last dentist who made up things to get my business. So when my teeth started bothering me, I went in to get them extracted. I was pretty nervous since I had never gotten teeth pulled before, but again, Dr. Aulakh did a great job telling me exactly what to expect. He applied numbing jelly followed by the shots, explaining each step of the way, so I would be well-informed throughout the process. By the time the extraction had started, I felt very comfortable with the idea and before I knew it, my wisdom teeth were sitting in the tray beside me. The next day I was just sitting around the house and I recieved a follow up phone call from Dr. Aulakh himself, asking if I was doing okay. I was very surprised that this dentist cared about his patients so much. I am very happy with my choice of dentist and I urge you to go try him out. You will be as impressed as I was. read more
