Petting zoos are a hit or miss for me. I came here in August and it was a scorcher out…read more We came here around 6 pm during the week. (They do close at 7 pm. So I like they stay open late) They have parking up close You have to check into the little market store first. They also have animal feed you can buy for the petting zoo There's a bunch of chickens (and a goat) that will follow you around lol. Right now they do have a baby horse and a baby cow. Which were absolutely adorable (their donkey is extremely vocal lol and ran up to greet us while making tons of noise to make sure we gave him a bunch of attention) The thing that makes me picky about petting zoos, is if the animals look well taken care of and happy. While we were on the trail taking photos and petting the animals we noticed a bunch of workers out checking on the animals and cleaning their enclosures. The animals were extremely friendly, especially the little donkey and the most precious baby horse. The baby stuck by its mom and they both let us pet them All of the horses were happy and friendly Goats were happy and clean Chickens would come right up to you and etc. it wasn't like some others I've been to and have seen signs of neglect It did not even have that petting zoo smell which is unheard of (they have a big handwashing station as well at the end of the petting zoo) When we went and checked in we spoke to the nice lady behind the register and then when we were finished I came back and got a drink and some homemade cookies. They also specialize in mushroom supplements for all your health needs. They sell eggs and other stuff like local honey The lady asked us how we liked the baby horse and made other small talk. She was extremely sweet My cousin and I had a great time. I just wish it would of been cooler

Good selection of booths with breads, jams, jewelry, medicinal items, essential oils, leather works…read moreyou name it. Sometimes muddy, sometimes not. Smelly if you go to the yard where the animals are, but that's to be expected! Bonus that they have a handwashing station! Love the little store with eggs and candies! And the food trucks!

The Patch provided such a fun, welcoming, and family-friendly atmosphere. Pumpkin Palooza was a fantastic event, and we especially loved seeing a local business support such an amazing cause by bringing the community together and giving rescue dogs an opportunity to find their forever homes. The Patch deserves a huge shoutout for creating such a special experience! It's businesses and events like these that make our community so wonderful. We came out to enjoy a fun fall day and ended up leaving with a new family member and memories we'll cherish forever! We are also incredibly grateful to Saved by Grace Dog Rescue for the love, dedication, and care they give these deserving animals. Max has already stolen our hearts, and we feel so lucky to have found him! A huge thank-you to The Patch and Saved by Grace Dog Rescue for making yesterday so memorable. We highly recommend supporting both of these wonderful organizations!

I chose this place in Shawnee so we could go into the pumpkin patch and choose and pick our own. Hint- don't wear open toe shoes! Lol Unfortunately field really dry and only ones left had been sampled by maybe deer. But to my surprise my grandson and husband had fun just walking in the field untill they found several with just a couple of areas on them. Grandson said just turn places in back! He was so happy. Next year we will find another patch to pick your own. Had just like 4 goats to pet and they were not interested. For smaller kids a bounce and a corn box. We found the corn shooter $6 for 5. This is really cool, husband had fun with this! You do pay for your pumpkins for like 40 cents a pound. They had a few nice ones to purchase if not from field.

Update: Walking back from the empty field I noticed the large amount of trash strewn around their grounds and also witnessed an u leashed dog (definitely seemed like a friendly dog, but still) roaming around and at one point climbed onto the inflatable bouncer with all the kiddos. Was able to receive a refund but they were also somewhat rude about that. Again, would not recommend this place for your fall fun.
