Leave it to Instagram to bring me all the way up to Adams County Fair Grounds for Pumpkin Nights. For what it was, I think they did a really good job. You walk through covered barns and fields that have been transformed into different, fun scenese like an underwater/coral reef situation and a pirate's cove. Super fun for kids, I'm sure. Overall, it was cute and not really as impressive in person as what Instagram promised. Also disappointed that most of the pumpkins weren't real, but I guess I can't really expect real pumpkins dangling by the dozens above little kiddies heads, right? Either way, you can tell people spent time planning and executing this - it is evident and appreciated. I'm glad the bf and I opted for after hours, slightly discounted pricing at $14/each because a) cheaper and b) less kids = less crowded. I can't say I am holding my breath for the next one, but it was a cute experience nonetheless. Took a ton of pictures - there's quite a few photo ops after each pumpkin land. read more

This would have been a 4 star review if it was like $9 bucks a person, but it's not. It's $20. Plus $5 more to park! That means a family of 4 forks out $85 bones to see carved foam pumpkins with Christmas lights in them, surrounded by hay dust and the stench of the most recent rodeo, stock show, or whatever livestock event with lots of poo. Made me hungry for hamburgers. Other than that, very gimmicky and overpriced. read more

Well, it sounded cool! But, while there are thousands of "pumpkins" and lights, and photo ops for little kids, there are no real pumpkins! They are styrofoam and you are wondering through the Adams County Fair Grounds, listening to some weird fusion of Japanese and Country Western music. Totally packed with people and screams kids, augh! Get me out of here. If your a parent with little kids, sure, it might be fun. But $20/adult and $9/kids +$5 parking. Pumpkin Nights was a great little event, fun to attend. We went as adults with no children, and we agreed that if we go again next year, we'll want to borrow friends' kids to take along with us because it seems like it'd be much more magical through a child's eye. Pumpkin time! I really liked the idea of this "festival", especially since there are not a lot of events to celebrate Autumn/Halloween outside of your standard farm visits. As you walk through the different pumpkin worlds there are some good photo ops, but be prepared to wait your turn. There was a magical feel to the event, (loved the Harry Potter hall!) but definitely some areas that felt a bit flat. The fact that the pumpkins are styrophome/plastic make sense, but something deep down still wants to see real ones! We got tickets to the "night owl" times to save $6/per person... But even paying $14 felt like too much. Would have been more appropriate at $8 per person... And $5 for parking for a 45 trip.. yikes. There were several food trucks at the end, which was nice, but mostly cash only so bring that money or you'll have to use the on site ATM. read more

Went tonight, be ready to pay $5 for parking and tickets at the window are $23. You walk through the Adams county fairground including the horse stables etc decorated with different plastic pumpkin designs. Some areas were cute, some good photo ops but a lot of log jams of people on the walkways. There was some beers and snacks at the end and cool real owls there. Cute idea but I don't think worth over $50 for 2 people. Most people in and out within an hour. read more

It's was a cute date if you take your time and hit the little liquor cart in the beginning! Super crowded for a Thursday and took us a whopping 20 minutes to do. Would say wish it was cheaper & would have been more enjoyable with kids. Pumpkins are also fake. Overall good backgrounds for photos. Solid 7/10 read more

Pretty disappointed in this event. I was really excited for it, to then arrive and find out it is made out of entirely fake plastic pumpkins... don't get me wrong, it was still neat and somebody clearly put a lot of work into organizing it, but it was more of like, an art exhibit in a sense then an actual Halloween event I felt like. If it had been $10 a person, I would have higher reviews, but the fact that it was almost $30 after taxes and parking was too much for the turn out. This is such a cool idea-especially for a Halloween obsessed person like me. I was so excited to go to Pumpkin Nights, but I was largely disappointed. I understand the need for fake pumpkins; obviously the pumpkins need to be carved in advance and real pumpkins would rot. But many of the carvings seemed amateur and the placement of the entire event was haphazard. It took no time at all to go through the entire event. Less than 30 minutes. For $25.00. There were large gaps between displays that had no pumpkins at all or just a few here and there.The other displays were then bunched together so tightly that you had to stop and wait for children to look at all the pumpkins or families and couples to take pictures. The line through the final Harry Potter display was at a complete stand-still. No one could understand why we were just standing there. Finally I cut to the front of the line and saw that the line was due to the option to take a picture with a live owl. Cool idea, but executed poorly. There was no staff directing a separate line for this or a designated area to stand in. People were starting to get frustrated and get the hint that they need to cut the line to get out. We got to the end and thought "this is it? it's over?" Pumpkin Nights just needs a new event manager and a new team of curators to put the event together in a way that makes more sense. read more

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! We had tickets for 5:30 on Sunday 10/20. We arrived at 5:10 only to find out that they had delayed the opening to 8:00 PM. We arrived on time since they have a "rain or shine" policy. The lady attending their gate said that they would issue refunds since they are the ones who canceled the event. Today I finally heard back from their customer service that they would not issue refunds, only transfers. We live an hour away and cannot make any other date work. They have terrible customer service to not issue a refund when the cancellation is 100% their fault. read more

Overall it was a fun little experience but I don't know that I would go again within the next couple years, because I'm sure they really wouldn't change much based on the pictures I saw posted from last year. Wow! If you love the smell of cow manure and the sounds of screaming children, you will love pumpkin nights. I heard all the displays were created and set up by local grade school students. All things considered, they did a fantastic job. The displays were rather ramshackle and poorly thought out, but what can you expect? These kids are 8 years old. You might read reviews trashing this place, but I think those people just don't like kids. It is a rather long drive from Denver, so next year, I will just go to my six year olds art class and I will get the same feeling for free. read more

This is promoted as a great night but is best enjoyed by young children. 95% of the "pumpkins" are fake. You have to navigate the people that spend their entire time taking videos and pictures instead of enjoying the moment (special props to the lady that recorded the entire fire dancing show with her flashlight on, you'll definitely go back and watch that video!). Not worth the price at all. We spent more time driving to this than we did actually being there. The displays are neat in a way, but they're literally plastic pumpkins. Head on down to Pier One and recreate it yourself. The people that lack any self awareness are par for the course at an oversaturated event, but this event sells timed tickets so that it isn't oversaturated. Yet it's still oversaturated and you'll spend your evening waiting for idiots blocking the paths to take photos. Summation: Don't waste your money on plastic pumpkins. Fantastic event. The pumpkins were set up very well. I wish the food trucks were a little earlier in the event but we had a blast.

GUYS - your girlfriend will eat this up. Twinkling lights, owls, harry potter, holding hands in the cold, fire dancers, dark corners, instagram-worthy shots around every corner. Ok - truth here - I roped my darling bf into going. He was reluctant, but he's AMAZING so he went. I am a groupon fan, so I found tics there (apparently about the same as the door price, so either way) and we went over after work. How darling! All these pumpkins in a million different carvings - there are bugs, there are candles (eeep! harry potter!), there are jellyfishkins (my new favorite word) and more. They actually had people working at some of the great big displays so they can take pictures for you! (and you can BOTH be in the pic for once- I have short arms, selfies = difficult) There were a bunch of kids there and I can totally see it being fun for kids, but for us it was still really fun too. I love all things Halloween and really enjoyed it. read more

It was creative and a fun festive thing to do. Our kids are 2.5 and 4 and they loved it. It took about 45 mins to walk through and there are food trucks, jumping castles and a fire dancer at the end. Beware buying tickets! We originally had tickets for October 20th, they cancelled due to "high winds" (which were nonexistent by the way). So, we changed our tickets to the only other night we were free and, you guessed it, they cancelled again - this time due to snow (?) Now, they have ignored my requests for a refund, which they really should offer since they were the ones who cancelled the events. read more

If I could give this zero stars I would. Not much to say other than what a waste of money. Nothing about this even felt remotely connected to Halloween. Not real pumpkins, scenes were poorly designed and not even Halloween themed. Be ready for Under the Sea theme and a strange "enchanted forest" theme. All the "carved" pumpkins were plastic. Took my niece and nephew, (5 & 7) on Sunday night. They had a blast - they really dug the see-saws and the interactive parts. It was nice that they could be a little rambunctious and had all these things to occupy their somewhat short attention spans. Aunt Me appreciated the beer cart and I have to give props to the arrangers - the pumpkins and spiders and octopus and all of it were really cool - the lighting was fun, the poses and carvings were great! (whoever is going on about the pumpkins being "fake" - yeah, "fake" is probably the way to go. Ever smelled rotting pumpkin? the event is like 2 weeks long, none of my real pumpkins ever lasted more than a week...) Overall, a fun, different event, the kiddos really had a great time and I didn't mind the $5 for parking. I hope it went to the one guy running his buns off answering a million questions and still directing traffic. I salute you. read more

The pictures on Instagram were amazing. We show up to the fairgrounds, which were super dusty and not fun to walk through. Some of the themes were great. Others we walked through quickly. I took my two younger daughters and they had a lot of fun. As for my husband and I we didn't think it was worth the price we were charged. read more

Outrageously expensive ($94.04 for 4 tickets and then we had to also pay $5 just to park in a lot that exists solely for the venue!) No real pumpkins as advertised. No one carving pumpkins as advertised. All fake plastic pumpkins and the designs were repeated OVER AND OVER AND OVER. We walked through in about 40 minutes and the only reason it took that long was because there were jams where we couldn't move. Huge disappointment and a complete waste of money.
