The service was lovely and so was the food. They don't have their own website and there was no menu available online, but they mostly do traditional English fare. Food came out quickly and was hot - eggs cooked perfectly! All in all a nice atmosphere for a family meal and relatively inexpensive. They had several specials on their blackboards advertising lunch, so will have to come back to try that out!

Too many people had ordered quiche and they had had to cook some more but the cafe only has a tiny oven, apparently. This seems a bit odd for such a busy cafe with so many seats in so many sections on various floors. When I was leaving (not wildly late for lunch) they had run out of several of the salads and were not going to make any more. A man was getting a bit exasperated at the thought of paying that much for only about three different salads. Maybe they have a tiny fridge as well and therefore can't make sufficient in advance to feed all the people who turn up for lunch every day! I've visited Truro Lounge a few times over the years when I'm in Cornwall to visit relatives there…read more It's excellent for brunch, lunch and dinner and it seems they've increased the offerings on their menu. This last time I visited there I ordered the Dan Dan Noodles that I really enjoyed and really were spicy and that's what I like, hot and spicy food. I've enjoyed their burgers and brunch there too. The coffee and tea offerings are wonderful and Truro Lounge is my go-to place while in Truro. Great atmosphere and friendly service too.

Good tasty selection of cakes but most importantly good coffee!!
