Opened last year, this is a community cafe run by the local Anglican churches in Falmouth, located just below the town church of King Charles the Martyr.
The cafe decor has a fresh, contemporary feel - think New England meets Cornwall - in white and pastel blues and greys. The cafe has a strong ethical ethos and focuses on fair-trade and locally sourced ingredients, aims to reduce plastic usage and refills water bottles for free. They also host community events and entertainment like jazz evenings.
The menu is simple, consisting of rolls, paninis, soups, locally made cakes and fresh, fair trade teas and coffees. It has become very popular with students (free WiFi helps!) but also has a kids' corner to help keep little ones occupied.
I had a lovely filled ciabatta of sun dried tomatoes and local goat's cheese; colleagues had brie and bacon. All served with a friendly smile.
A great cafe with a contemporary feel right in the centre of Falmouth. Worth checking out. read more
