If you don't know Merrell is predominately hiking shoes, but they actually have some pretty nice apparel for hiking as well. They also have some discount racks that are significantly marked down making them an extreme value. Staff does a really good job of making sure that you know about any of the sales that are going on, and something to keep in mind, there is always a sale on the shoes. Typically something related to buy one get one x% off. The regular prices aren't that bad, and the selection is pretty good, not what you are going to necessarily find in sporting good stores that carry the brand. Around 3:00 PM on yesterday, I decided to head to the store because I hadn't received a pick up email yet and my event was at 6:30 PM. When I arrived, I found the sneakers in my size on the shelf. I tried them on and took them up to the register. I explained that I had placed an online order for same day pick up that had not been fulfilled yet. I said I went and found the shoes so could they go ahead and fulfill the order so I could take them and leave. The person at the register tried to say I would need to cancel my order and rebuy the shoes. Ummmm...why??? I already have an order! I told them I basically did the legwork for them--just look up my order number and fulfill it. It must have clicked in their head so that's what they proceeded to do. I received the email for pick up while I was standing at the register so I was able to get the shoes and go. I'm glad I went to the store myself and got my shoes off the shelf before someone else bought them. I seem to have issues whenever I go to any DSW in my area.
