EDIT: Does not respond to inquiries into their business practice. Trying to send clients to collection while taking no initiative to resolve issue. In 26 days, the bill jumped from $180 to a whopping $339.48, only with an additional mysterious "re-billing fee" and a dramatic scare to send you to collection. I think we all know what that is. That's how their billing department operates. ORIGINAL COMMENT: First thing first, the massage professionals there were great. I had a great experience with Amy and Richard. Environment was not very professional. You see kids running around, and people operates with more motel like management. (and the feel of the office too) Now why is this a 1 star business? I had a terrible experience with the the billing of this business. I called ahead and asked them about whether my insurance will be covered. They didn't say it definitely will but asserted with confidence that they work with Aetna all the time and I don't need a doctor's note for that. Ok, great! I scheduled two sessions in the next two weeks. On my second visit, when I just enjoyed a wonderful massage and walking out, they informed me oh sorry your plan is not covered.. Here's some packages that might lower the cost blah blah... Four weeks later I got my startling $180 for the service. I called and asked why don't you tell me about the fact that my insurance was not covering the cost at least before my second visit. She claimed that's how she works and she's busy (she sounds much nicer than the words but that's basically what she meant). Since insurance was the only reason I chose them, this is a big deal. For $90 a session, there's a tons of wonderful places that I could've gone to instead of this location. She's nice enough to hold a conversation albeit she does not budge on any ground. She thinks she did a perfect job and sorry if I'm not happy with the bill. Nothing she could've done better. I said: "As a customer, I expect you to clearly tell me what my cost would be given the fact that you claim that there's a chance that the insurance wouldn't work right?" She would only stress on the fact that I didn't check with my insurance to make sure that it's covered. There's absolutely nothing better they could've done. The fact that I was informed that my insurance does not cover the cost while walking out of the second session make the entire experience really scam-my. Feeling like being baited by the insurance claim they made.

He has a great manner with kids and really educates the patient. I also saw Dr Doug after a surgery on my foot. He had me walking better after one treatment. She made me feel comfortable and relaxed every step of the way, talking me through everything. Dr. Karmali is extremely kind, attentive, gentle, humble, and calming. She went to UW Med School, so extra points for that! Another cool thing is that Swedish uses MyChart, an online personal health record system where you can see your medical history, appointments, messages from your doctor, etc. Strangely, when I called to make an appointment, the receptionist said that Dr. Karmali did not have any openings until January 2015. However, when I went online to MyChart, I saw multiple openings between now and the end of the year. I ended up making an online appointment with Dr. Karmali for early December and cancelling my phone-made appointment with another doctor at Swedish. I am so excited to go see Dr. Karmali again soon!

After my motorcycle accident in 2009 Dr. Karmali checked up on me and worked with my medical records from Harborview to continue with my pain management care. To this day she still works closely with me on this care and has been very good at keeping an eye out for my health and well being and continues to work with my pain management doctor at Harborview. Dr. Karmali set me up with MyChart (available to all Swedish patients) when I moved back to WA and through that I am able to discuss issues with her without having to make an appointment to go into the clinic (I'm already there enough as it is!) and she is quick to get back to me usually same day but definitely within 24 hours. She even responds on her days off and to me, that is complete dedication and proves just how much she cares about her patients. I have recommended her to a couple of friends and they love her as well. Dr. Karmali is very knowledgeable and caring. If she is unsure of something she will investigate the issue to ensure that you get the best possible care. She is just an amazing doctor and an even more amazing person.

He has never done that, it hurt and caused some droopy eyelids. I am now at a different place. I can call Email walk in and they help. They have a receptionist, Botox schedulers. Procedure ones, PAs everything. Do your research please. They have the potential to be great. Egos need to be set aside and bring in an office manager. Make sure they're not related. Just follow up with your patients concerns. I'm very happy now. I have chronic pain and need empathy. The only reason I ended up with Dr Bowers is by circumstance and referral. I'm at my original Clinic because they now do Botox. They charge $200 after insurance Dr Bowers $600. They are all very pleasant. To be fair. Dr Bowers staff are nice and friendly even the doctor was.
