If you are looking for long term health and fitness, I highly recommend trying it out.

I signed up for BodyBlast twice when it was housed in Weston Fitness, and both times I had a…read morefantastic experience. The program includes nutrition counseling, a meal plan, and personal training, all tailored to specific goals. From what I've seen of other programs, BB is unique in that at no point will you be told, "You're a female, so you shouldn't ____," and the training is not All BOSU All The Time. There's some real weight, valuable weight training from trainers who have actually studied how the body works and didn't just download a certificate from the internet. My first time with BB, because I was interested in fat loss I was given a high protein-low carb diet, and because I was interested in limiting my intake of animal protein Stephen offered a modified vegan plan. Then I was matched with a trainer who made me feel 100% comfortable as a gym newbie, and who showed me a lot of useful exercises including how to properly perform a squat. He also let me know plenty of times that it was OK if I had one cheat meal per week and didn't lecture when I told him it was pizza. I didn't start seeing real results until much later in that year, when I was long off the official program and began treatment for hypothyroidism and PCOS, but I took what I learned from them - especially the importance of form - and it changed my body in surprising ways. I was the fat kid growing up, so to be told I "looked athletic" and "looked like I worked out" was shocking. A couple of years later, I decided I wanted to start lifting heavy and went back for more. This time, I told Stephen I wanted to learn deadlifts and barbell squats, and he immediately pointed to a trainer who was excited about training a girl to lift heavy things. This trainer showed me a lot of good strength exercises, got me on a 5x5 program, and maniacally laughed as he loaded up weights for me. I saw incredible results in a short time - both in strength gain and fat loss. For a number of reasons that have nothing to do with BB, I've had a tough time maintaining a routine for a couple of years, but I'm back in action these days and still keeping in mind the things that BB taught me: lift heavy, lift properly, eat protein, watch the carbs, keep it up. I may not be a stunning before and after montage - and I may never be - but this program truly did change my life.

Mark Samuels is a dishonest business owner. He told me to come in for a free evaluation, kept me in…read morethere for 2.5 hours, talking about everything from politics to unsolicited dating advice, at the end I figured I will sign the contract thinking I can read the next day, it was already close to 9 PM. I made sure I asked him whether I still get the three business days to cancel, to which he replied, "of course, it's the law". The next morning I emailed him to tell him to cancel and he said there are no refunds as written in the contract. He uses an unlawful contract, according to Title 56 - TRADE NAMES, TRADE-MARKS AND UNFAIR TRADE PRACTICES Section 56:8-42 - Health club services contract, he is obligated to refund all the money if the contract is cancelled in 3 days. And he is obligated to specify that in the contract. Instead he put it in large fonts "there are no refunds" and even claimed that by signing I acknowledge that I had an attorney review the contract. Like I had an attorney with me on Monday at 9 pm. That contract has so many holes, I bet he doesn't even know what's coming. He claims I bought a non refundable product. You should have seen the melt down when I emailed to cancel. He even threatens me with defamation lawsuits if I post bad reviews. I disputed the charge with the credit card and the credit card company cannot hold him accountable. But he is now under investigation with NJ Consumer Affairs as I reported him. He should expect a hefty fine for breaking the law. He also offers colonics and I am sure that facility is not equipped with the proper setting to offer colonics. I reported him for that as well. And I filed a claim with Better Business Bureau as well, they will investigate him as well. So stay away from the scum bag! When I told him I would leave a bad review, he gave me shit like I shouldn't try to destroy a small black business lol. The scum bag is gaming the system thinking he can get away with it because he is black and "you know how it is" - these are his words that I am quoting. I am attaching few screenshots of that conversation. Just stay away from the sales pitches this snake is giving you. There are many honest and reliable gyms around here, this one is not. He makes YouTube videos in which he reviews articles and studies, as if he has any qualifications to give you diet advice. Trust me, he did not invent the wheel of low carb and intermittent fasting. He even advises for 24 hour dry fast followed by two days of water fasting which for people with certain health conditions can be very dangerous. So think twice before signing up. You don't even get the three days to cancel without paying him over $200. Nobody wants a dishonest trainer. Read the other reviews. Few people complain about his attitude and the atmosphere in the gym being unwelcoming the moment they get you hooked. The Facebook reviews show that only 70% of the people recommend the gym but the negative reviews are not visible. You can only see the positive ones.

I was trying to sign us up for our last 2 classes on the groupon and talk about continuing membership options. I wasn't sure if we were going to enroll monthly or buy a pack of classes. I had some questions. I emailed the person I had been dealing with at least 3 times over the course of a week and left 2 messages and never received a reply. I'm not sure if we did something to offend or if they just don't want kids in the classes but I would have appreciated being told that rather than being ignored until I went away. No matter how good something may be, I'm not interested in paying my hard earned money when management does not conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner.

I looked around and contacted several different trainers, Jeff responded before anyone else. Although I looked at a few others, I picked Jeff because I just liked him. It was an excellent choice. He is dedicated, he knows so much about wellness and more importantly he is always learning. I can ask anything about nutrition, lifestyle or training and if he needs more information, he finds out and then shares with me. The thing that matters most is that here I am, four months past my big day and I still train with Jeff. I am also so happy to say that my husband was so impressed with what he saw and with what I told him, that he now trains with Jeff too. I have been so impressed with the way in which Jeff has modified everything to meet my husband where he is. A very different place than where I ever was, and the results are already visible. Not only does my husband look healthier, he clearly feels better too. It has been such a positive experience for both of us.
