The campus is exactly what you'd expect in the south, the classic and conservative layout with old red brick buildings lining the original main streets of campus. There are iconic landmarks throughout campus known by the students and the Belltower, of course. There are also updated and extremely modern buildings spanning the large footprint of this growing campus in downtown Raleigh. The campus is kept very clean and there are student, faculty and paid parking lots for visitors throughout. There are apps available for the difference activities and needs on campus, including a safety watch app for parents so they can remain in the know about happenings, even if they're out of state. The campus is very walkable and a lot of students walk to Hillsborough, a road defining one of the edges of campus. There's plenty to eat and shop for on this road. There are several parks on campus and near campus. There are also, I think, around seven gyms across campus, a few of which are designed, especially for the college athletes. Cafeterias also numerous and spread across campus and students can discover their favorite while studying on campus. My son stayed in a pretty traditional older dorm for four years as RA and had a pleasant time. The facilities were a little old, but he had all of his basics. There was a men's and women's restroom on his floor, a laundry room, usually a community kitchen, and a sink and closet in his dorm along with electrical hook ups for his computer and everything else needed. Desk and bed provided as well. There's a Costco in a Trader Joe's in town nearby that you could drive or take the bus to. Campus also had its own bus line for students.

This is a hard admit for a Carolina Girl. Fun Fact: In 1983, when Coach Jim Valvano led the men's basketball team to a very unlikely win in the NCAA Championship, the "Wolfpack" became registered and it's logos became federally licensed trademarks. Also, alumni can get a gym membership for a fee each month. Having had a few college tours under my belt thanks to my son and his journey to find his perfect fit for higher education, we went on the Admitted Student Tour at NC State! It was well organized, informative and walking around that campus, my son just seemed at home. The one thing I can say about NC State is there are a lot of bricks! The gym is outrageously big and has a rock climbing wall.

Our instructor would leave our classroom after just a couple of minutes with no real direction or instruction. He was busy hanging out with a fellow instructor in one of the other domes. Meanwhile we were doing a drawing class in a poorly lit room where the only light was up by where the instructor would typically teach. He did this for weeks. When our ENTIRE class went to talk to Deborah, and let her know of these problems and a lack of instructor, she told us ALL that we were lying and that the instructor wouldn't do that because he was one of their most esteemed instructors. She wouldn't even walk to the classroom to see if we were telling the truth. How would an entire class be able to leave their class without the instructor wondering what was up and going to look for them. Deborah denied any refunds or rescheduling of classes. I still wish I could get some sort of refund for this place. During admissions, I was told I would be placed in advanced classes because my work already proved I would be wasting my time in beginner classes. Of course when it came time to start, I was placed in beginner classes and they said they wouldn't change them. So I spent money without any ability to get a refund on classes for things I already knew. Half the time I spent teaching my fellow classmates better techniques than the instructors did. I've heard this place is getting shut down. Not the first rodeo the owner has been through like this though. Roger K is an educational crook and so is Deborah.

We had a little difficulty finding it. GPS brought us to the parking lot behind the building. There isn't clear signage to direct you where to go. We managed to find our way up the stairs and into the building. There are a number of businesses located inside. Lucky Tree is super cute. It's set up to encourage working, with plenty of charging spots all around. There is a variety of seating, from long wooden tables to smaller individual areas. We ordered a chai latte and golden milk latte, both with oat milk. Both drinks were good. Fyi there is a separate entrance from the side that takes you directly to another smaller parking lot.

I loved the cheese on top! I was not a huge fan of the flavor the almond flour gave them but it was not overpowering. I would probably get them again! They had a lot of options as far as specialty lattes but I am glad I went with the Vanilla Maple. I was worried that the maple flavor would be too much but it complimented the vanilla well. The inside was VERY well decorated, and I would've loved to stay and do a little computer work! I could see myself coming by and sitting down for a quick brunch, meeting up with friends, or staying for a work session.
