I came in expecting a smooth, premium shopping environment, but looking around was an incredibly frustrating experience. The layout is completely backwards, and the aisle organization makes no sense at all. Instead of an intuitive flow, it feels like a maze where you have to walk in circles just to locate basic items. The signage is useless, and the overall setup completely lacks the clean, effortless navigation found at competitors. Beyond absolutely awful. Whole Foods is much better.

I usually go to the Harris Teeter at the Beau rivage, and this new location is way bigger. It's nice their gas station is in the same plaza so you don't have to drive that far. Compared to the one I usually go to, the produce is on the left side of the store, not the right side. Some things and areas are arranged a little differently in the produce and throughout the store, and given that is bigger, it took a few minutes to find the things I was looking for. Some cool things they had were kumquats, raw Korean, barbecue seasoned salmon, vegetarian canned tuna, a bar area to drink wine, an interactive screen to give you recommendations for wines, and a station of a fresh cooked meal to take to go. Seafood was fresh and they had an area for smoked seafood. Of course right now there is still inflation so nothing is super cheap. But if you're looking for something in particular, this location seems to likely have it.

The store itself is consistently clean and well organized, which makes shopping there pleasant. One concern, though, is the condition of the bathrooms. They've noticeably declined compared to the past--stall doors are coming off the hinges, the interior paint looks worn and neglected, and overall cleanliness doesn't seem to be maintained like it used to be. It's disappointing, especially given how well the rest of the store is kept. Hopefully management takes a look and brings them back up to the standard customers expect.

The location is very neat and organized and clean. When you first walk in, you have the bakery. The bake goods are made each morning and once they sell out, that is it. I love their pastries that remind me of my trips to Europe and my German friend absolutely raves about their pretzels. The produce section always has fresh items and I have yet to see anything wilted or that has gone bad. Overall the prices of everything are very comparable to other grocery stores and in some cases cheaper. Make sure you do bring in your reusable bags though or you will have to carry your items out or get a 12 cent bag. (they do have others to choose from though too).
