Grilled octopus with paprika - yummy!
    Sean J.

We have been traveling from Madrid to Córdoba to Seville and now in Granada, all the while we relied on Yelp to find good places to eat, but did not have any success until today, when we happened to walk by this place that's close to our hotel at 11:30pm, and many of the local bars and restaurants were closing, perhaps due to the rain. This place has a more upscale feel than many other wine bars/restaurants and yet the ambience is welcoming and the prices are very reasonable, and since we saw quite a few people that were still in there, we thought that's a good sign. My wife and I had a late big lunch earlier in the day so we only planned to have some wine and small plates. Turned out they have a very interesting and creative menu with seafood, oysters, steak and other seafood and meat concoctions, unlike the same old same old that we've seen during this trip so far. We had a wonderful goat cheese dish layered with mango and honey, a grilled octopus with paprika, and a light Nevada cake with chestnut, all were excellent to go with the very good house wine that we ordered, and we ended the night with their great selection of specialty teas. It was such an enjoyable experience that a short stop turned into a pleasurable evening till they close at 1am. All along the waiters were very helpful when we asked for food recommendation, and to top it off the bill was not much more than the lousy lunch that we had some place else in a much less comfortable setting. Highly recommended when you look for either a wine bar or a restaurant!

Smaller, cozy full of character Bar area and the whole place is filled with bottles. 5 tables outside but for me inside was much more interesting. I ordered a Verdejo and my Server brought out a complimentary tomato Tapa and Salami. Tomatoes were super fresh and slightly salted-delicious! Everything on the menu looked good! I ordered the Sturgeon, Foie Gras and White Sausage. The Sturgeon was exquisite with the tomatoes and peppers pairing perfectly! Should have taken the big order. Foie Gras and white sausage (mild) were simple, tasty and didn't disappoint. My Server was friendly and worked to bring out the dishes as they were ready given my time crunch. About an 8 minute walk from the city center and well worth it. Make the stop for some high quality/reasonably priced Tapas and Wine in a unique space.

Wow wow wow! 5 Stars for one of the best experiences we had on our recent trip to Spain. Spanish…read morenatural wine tasting with local cheeses, almonds, and butter? YES PLZ. I booked this experience through AirBnb Experiences (highly recommend checking the experiences in any city where you're traveling). When scrolling through the options this caught my eye as I am a big fan of low-intervention (aka natural) wines and Al Sur carries some Spanish wines I've enjoyed here in the states (shout-out to Golden Hour Wine in Orlando!). The shop is on Elvira Street and surrounded by small Middle Eastern restaurants. We loved the walk to the shop. Once there, Jessica greeted us and we sat at a large communal table to start our tasting experience. Jessica was a WONDERFUL host and the wine and bites we tried were some of our favorites on our entire trip. This tasting was a true highlight and I'd HIGHLY recommend it. They also have other great tasting experiences with various types of local food. One thing you must get if you're there is their locally-sourced butter. This butter was unlike anything I've ever tried before. It almost tasted of yogurt. I wish we would have been able to bring some home to the States, but while we were there we made sure to have plenty of it! Guillermo was at the counter and also helped us with some purchases of olive oil and pastries after the tasting. Overall, this is a spot that cannot be missed on your next Andalucian trip. It created memories we'll hold on to forever! (And we had some really great wine!!)
