    Monterey fajitas (bacon wrapped shrimp)
    KayAnna S.

Easy place to walk-in any day and be seated. They have a wide selection of good options as well. Great for large parties as there is plenty of seating and parking in the lot. This is honestly some of the best Mexican food I've had while being in FL. We both ordered different fajitas. I had the combo of chicken and steak. The steak was dry but the chicken was perfect. Not dry and plenty of flavor, while melting in your mouth. Lots of grilled peppers compared to onions. Rice was dry but beans were good. The Guac was more like mashed avocados alone and the pico de gallo was not fresh and was very small (enough for one bite). The Monterey fajita with the bacon wrapped shrimp was delicious but became too heavy to really be able to finish. The tortillas were warm and I was overall happy with our meal. Definitely will be coming back to try more!

Bug in my soup. And my friend found a bug in his soup as well. Gross!

We ate there yesterday and my friend ordered the tortilla soup, which he said it taste good. But half way thru it, he found a bug we told the waitress and she took it, I ordered a shrimp soup, i had a few spoons and took the rest to go. When i got home I noticed there was a bug in my soup too. Very disappointed.

My favorite Mexican restaurant in Okeechobee! The food is delicious and the staff is sweet. It's a must do every time I'm in town.

    Cold Beer.

Cold Beer - should have stopped there. No chips / salsa offered. Rice was SO salty we couldn't eat it. Beans had an off putting unidentifiable flavor, possibly "fishy" tasting. One bite and we were done with the beans which we love at all other Mexican places. Chile Colorado burrito not bad but several fatty chunks, hard beef tacos just ok. Won't return.

Average food - way expensive - sour cream is $2.25 for maybe 2 tablespoons. Entire menu is very expensive! Food was ok, salsa yuck.

Rice was broken as if it were scraped from the bottom of a pot. Beans and house tortilla chips were unremarkable. However, the salsa, side salad, and toppings on the tacos were all fresh. Service and atmosphere both had room for improvement. The menu had labels over each price with a new (higher) price written in ink. The tables possessed a huge advertisement and wobbled, the seats were uncomfortable lacking padding and support. There was a claw and arcade machine in the dining area. After receiving the check, I had to walk up to the register to pay. None of these things were conducive for comfort.

They have some of their own sauces as well, I wasn't as much of a fan but my fiancé liked them. Felt they just have spice and not as much flavor, but their salsa was great. We all ordered burritos and the wet burritos were definitely worth it! I had the dry burrito and it was quite dry. I had ordered extra pico de gallo and I don't want to know how much would be in it if I didn't order extra. The chicken was delicious by itself but the rest of the burrito was really just lettuce and pico de gallo and sour cream. Again not bad but not much else. The rice on the side was pretty good though! Staff was very welcoming and kind! Very easy to find parking in their large lot surrounding the building.

Absolutely horrendous experience…read more My husband and I were passing through Okeechobee and decided to stop for lunch and it ended up being a huge disappointment from start to finish. Before ordering, the waitress offered chips and salsa, which we happily accepted since it's something we always look forward to at Mexican restaurants. She asked if we wanted mild or hot so we chose one of each. She also mentioned the salsa would be served warm which we thought was unusual but did not question at the time. When it arrived the chips seemed like basic store bought rounds and instead of salsa, we were served what tasted exactly like hot enchilada sauce. Both bowls were the same spice level despite us requesting mild and hot. At first I thought it might be taco sauce but when my husband's enchiladas came out it confirmed that we had been served the same exact sauce as on his plate. I also ordered a burrito but what I received was more like an open faced soft taco since it was not wrapped at all and was very small. The refried beans were also completely bland and had no flavor. Overall, the food and experience were extremely disappointing. It felt like a very poor representation of Mexican cuisine and I would not recommend this place to anyone. Stay away.
