The next day Joe came by and after several tests determined it was not repairable. I agreed to a new upgraded VS pump on Friday and Joe was here to install it on Monday. I reached out to Ryan the area manager and he never responded. I'll be filing a lawsuit on Monday to recover the cost of the damage done to our brand new pump and filter cartridges.

Terrible experience…read more This company is deceptive, they do not pay attention, their technicians and management lied to us, and tried to create a problem we didn't even ask them to fix. They entered our property without permission when we asked them not to and no one answered the door or gave them permission. We have dogs and that was unacceptable. They do not take accountability, never apologized. DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY. They will argue with you every step of the way if you even remotely try to talk to them. We contacted the company to ask for someone to look at our leaking salt cell. We asked them not to enter our property without permission and to wait we would be there in 15 minutes to meet the technician to better describe the problem. Instead the technician went on our property without waiting and destroyed our pool pump (which was NOT the reason for our call) and told us that in order to fix it, they would need to charge us around $1000 for the service. Before any auto shop, home repair, any contractor begins...companies will ASK before starting work. But they never even asked. They started without our presence or permission when we explicitly told them not to. When we called the management and asked them to fix it they offered to refund the charges but STILL charged us. When the VP called me he insisted that we weren't charged, but after me telling him to look again he somehow found the charge to our card that he said he personally had "zeroed" out. He was rude with me on the phone told me that "every pool company enters property without permission" even when specially asked to not to.

I appreciated the communication and kindness! **************************************************** Overall happy because they kept my pool nice and clear. Communication could be much better. One visit, they removed my pool robot-vac and set it aside. The visit log just simply said "vacuum not working". It had just been working the day prior, so I took a look and it had a piece of mulch that caused it to seize up. Removed the debris, and it worked just fine. No big deal. On another visit, we noticed they did not put any chlorine tablets in the floater. It was just empty. A few days before their next visit, I put my own chlorine tablets in the floater. But when they did their weekly visit, I come home to find the floater set aside on the pool deck with NO tablets in it. My brand new tablets I had just put in the floater were just gone. The visit log said, "Need a new chlorine floater" It was an old floater so the "floor" of it fell out (but you could put it back and as long as you gently place it back in the pool, it held the tablets). I called them and left a voicemail describing how my tablets just disappeared because they decided the floater is no good. I said it would be helpful if they would at least leave 2-3 tablets for me so I can put them in a new floater. So that was annoying, and they didn't even call back. Finally, I had been planning to take over pool care on my own, so I later sent an email letting them know. I know they got the message because they didn't come, but it just would be nice to be acknowledged when customers call or email. Again, overall, they kept the pool clear, so I appreciate that much. If I could do half stars, I'd say 3.5 out of 5. Keep in mind that while they empty baskets (including the one at your pool equipment), you (or someone) still needs to clean the filter once in a while. This helps your filter last longer and do a more efficient job.

After a few months the pool looked like a swamp. I had several quotes to get the pool cleaned and running again, some of these other companies really tried to gouge me and upcharge me on things I did not want. Bob came out and gave me a very reasonable quote and did not try to upcharge me on anything. Once the pool got cleaned out I decided I should refinish it and add a sundeck. Again they could of gave me an outrageous quote since half the job was done but once again I was given a very reasonable number. Communication was great by phone, text and email. The guys who came out to do the work were very friendly and professional. The job got done in a reasonable amount of time and the pool looks fantastic. The company was know as Walker pools previously but now called Affordable so you can look up both to find them. If I ever need pool repairs again they will be the first ones I call. Really great job.
