The rumors are true. This Publix does charge more than other Publix stores in the area. I found myself here after a lunch nearby. I needed some things and figured I would stop at this Publix. I definitely noticed several items I bought were at least $0.50 higher per item compared to the store that is near my house, which isn't too far from here. That amount of money can add up if you shop here a lot and buy a lot of items. I guess for the privilege of shopping in Weston you pay the price. Their rent must be higher and they pass on the costs to their customers. People have told me this in the past and I really never paid attention. But I do know this when things are quite a bit higher in price for items I buy often. Besides this, the store was clean. They were out of the type of tomatoes I wanted and other tomatoes did not seem too ripe. They have a very good wine selection. They also have a delicious new product called cake bites. If you like those rainbow color cookies/cakes, these are surprisingly good despite them being boxed goods. They are right near the rice cakes.

I come to this Publix frequently as it's close to my office and I notice it's a very efficiently run Publix whereas they always have fresh food, chicken and someone ready to help at the deli. This Publix goes above and beyond. If I ask them to make me a sub/sandwich with literally any bread in the store... they will do it. That's why I give a high 4 star rating to this location. I would like to say the red brick exterior is nice, but that kudos belongs to the plaza developer.

To start off, I'm not a big fan of Publix. We were in the area for a movie and needed groceries afterwards, so we came in here. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon around 2 PM, this is not a typical time for me to grocery shop. I was surprised by how quiet the store was at this time, I know back home in NY this is the worst time to be at a supermarket and it can be very crowded. The store seemed a little dated, but clean. In addition to the usual grocery items, they also have a floral section, balloons, Redbox and speciality holiday items. I find the prices at this chain to be expensive, but the store was well stocked with almost everything we needed. My husband loves the fried chicken from this chain. They have other ready made meals as well. Just an average grocery store experience here, nothing too notable.

August 2022: 5: I searched the area while trying to find a grocery store to pick up some items to snack on before I had to report for class. When I entered the store, I immediately noticed that it was very neat, clean and organized. I moved towards the bakery and then on to the deli section. I saw a worker behind the counter who greeted me and asked if she could help me. I placed my order and waited for her to finish preparing the sandwich. This deli worker was friendly and competent. She neatly wrapped the sandwich and advised that the condiments were behind me along with the napkins if needed. I walked over to select some fruit and decided to pick up a couple bananas as well. The produce area was very well color coordinated with the apples and oranges. There were two men standing in the area, seemingly admiring their color coordinating work of course, who asked if I needed help. I was just looking for bananas that were a little bit more yellow and individual ones if there were any separate ones in the store. They answered my question and I was off to finish my shopping. This entire experience in the store left me thinking that this store is well managed. The cashier on my way out was also very friendly and confident and waited patiently as I tried to pull up the app to pay for my items.

Just saw an employee throw this litter in the ground from a shopping cart before he brought it back to the store.

It's great for mulch and plants for the garden. I like that this store has a touch of country to it. They sell some items that you would find at. Feed and supply store. That reminds me of where I grew up in rural Massachusetts. There always seems to be plenty of cashiers and self check out lanes so the wait to pay isn't too bad. The only downfall for ME is the parking lot. It's hard getting in and out of this store.

A friend said it's the Walmart lights and tall shelving. On this specific visit, I was able to take my time browsing and was shocked at how many cool finds there were. At Walmart!!! Snagged a few cool food brands I've wanted to try before. Someone just told me about the Gordon Ramsey Beef Wellington Bites and they are surprisingly good. Found the Stranger Things Scoops Ahoy ice cream I've seen advertised before but never able to find in an actual store. Scored several cool items all in all. My favorite cool find was hands down the Fancy Edible Glitter packets. Just sprinkle powder into any drink or cocktail of choice and it makes your drink shimmer. Makes about 20 glittery drinks for $10. Can't wait to try this! Target is still my #1 and I don't think Walmart will ever be able to compete on the same level...but I will say that I am pleasantly surprised at Walmart lately on their selections. I will also add that it's true that Walmart prices are less expensive than Target or anywhere else so that's a bonus!

I love Aldi and Trader Joe's and it makes sense because they have two German brothers in common…read more The abbreviated history is that Aldi's and Trader Joe's were owned by the two brother's who fell out over whether or not to sell cigarettes. In 1962, they introduced the name Aldi, short for Albrecht-Diskont, which translates into English as Albrecht Discount. The company split into Aldi Süd and Aldi Nord, which operate thousands of stores in Europe, the United Kingdom and Australia. Aldi Süd controls the U.S. chain of Aldi stores while Aldi Nord operates in the U.S. as Trader Joe's. ALDI opened its first U.S. store in Iowa in 1976 and now has more than 2,200 stores and is headquartered in Batavia, Illinois. While Trader Joe's has great prices, Aldi will beat them and just about everyone else's prices every time. You can still signs of that German heritage all over Aldi's like in their German line of products called Deutsche Kuche, which offers offers beer, chocolate, roasted coffee, and uncured Bavarian bratwurst. If you want to save money on groceries, Aldi's is a great way to do it. In order to bring you those low prices Aldi's has instituted some cost cutting measures. If you want a cart you will need to bring a quarter and to get your money back you need to return your cart from the parking lot back to the store saving employees from having to collect the carts. You will also have to bring your own bags or pay for theirs. Sometimes I'll just grab one of their empty boxes. Lines used to be long in store because they keep their staff to a bare bones minimum but since they added self checkout I rarely wait in line anymore. I was at Sawgrass Mills Mall and needed a few items so I popped into this location near the mall on Sunrise Blvd. There are now 208 Aldi locations throughout Florida so there is always one near by when I need it. The store was clean and well organized. I was able to easily grab what I needed and I had fun checking out the new Aisle of Shame inventory where they have a lot of cleaning products and exercise equipment in anticipation of the new year. My new favorite Aldi product is the Coconut Hydration Electrolytes Blue Mix Sticks in the blue raspberry flavor. They are only 15 calories and make your water taste delicious. Thanks to them I'm carrying my Owala with me wherever I go. I also love that this Aldi had the self checkout that allowed me to get out quickly and on my way to my next adventure.

FOOD SHOPPING RED ALERT…read more.. Lots of people I know swear by the Aldi cheap food prices so this is my first Aldi adventure to see if this is truth or fable. At first glance as I enter the vestible, are a long stacknof LOCKED, shopping carts that have .25 cents imprinted on the top of the cart to rent. Then if you return the cart you are reimbursed the quarter. Also, there are no shopping bags provided. The store is much smaller than Publix but it seems to be easily navigated with wide aisles and the food sections are largely displayed on the walls. The prices for similar Publix or Winn Dixie items seem slightly lower on most items. Looking for a simple seeded rye bread was a failure, although, they did offer a large variety of private and recognizable national brands. The beer section was fully stacked and noticed that the prices were extremely competitive. The best deals were the bags of mini avocados for $3.69 instead of the competition price of $5.19 or one gallon of whole milk by Friendly Farms for $3.02. I grabbed a bag of avocados and walked to the self checkout and noticed they dont accept cash, so paid the low price on my credit card and left. After the completion of this shopping project, I would have to agree that there are deep discounted deals here and many reviewers were correct.

On weekends, they often have samples, which I love. although it usually ends with me buying whatever I tried. Their wine selection is my go-to, especially during the holidays. The wife has me stop in for a few things that Publix does not carry but either way we still have to shop at Sams Club or my grocery bill would be enormous. At the Hydration Station the New Zealand gallon water jugs are a whopping $4.49 each which is a top tier pricing and not really sure why. Bought bananas that were mid-ripe and priced at only .24 cents each vs only a few cents more for organic bananas. The single avocados were fresh and hard to the touch and nicely priced although the same avocados in the 4-pack were mushy. The store was clean with several food stockers available for help if needed. The double thick paper bags with the carrying handles are superb and appreciated. One thing noticed here different than other grocery stores is the continual commitment to customer service and smiles everywhere. Maybe organic products cause this rare phenomenom?
