The rumors are true. This Publix does charge more than other Publix stores in the area. I found myself here after a lunch nearby. I needed some things and figured I would stop at this Publix. I definitely noticed several items I bought were at least $0.50 higher per item compared to the store that is near my house, which isn't too far from here. That amount of money can add up if you shop here a lot and buy a lot of items. I guess for the privilege of shopping in Weston you pay the price. Their rent must be higher and they pass on the costs to their customers. People have told me this in the past and I really never paid attention. But I do know this when things are quite a bit higher in price for items I buy often. Besides this, the store was clean. They were out of the type of tomatoes I wanted and other tomatoes did not seem too ripe. They have a very good wine selection. They also have a delicious new product called cake bites. If you like those rainbow color cookies/cakes, these are surprisingly good despite them being boxed goods. They are right near the rice cakes. read more

I come to this Publix frequently as it's close to my office and I notice it's a very efficiently run Publix whereas they always have fresh food, chicken and someone ready to help at the deli. This Publix goes above and beyond. If I ask them to make me a sub/sandwich with literally any bread in the store... they will do it. That's why I give a high 4 star rating to this location. I would like to say the red brick exterior is nice, but that kudos belongs to the plaza developer. read more

To start off, I'm not a big fan of Publix. We were in the area for a movie and needed groceries afterwards, so we came in here. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon around 2 PM, this is not a typical time for me to grocery shop. I was surprised by how quiet the store was at this time, I know back home in NY this is the worst time to be at a supermarket and it can be very crowded. The store seemed a little dated, but clean. In addition to the usual grocery items, they also have a floral section, balloons, Redbox and speciality holiday items. I find the prices at this chain to be expensive, but the store was well stocked with almost everything we needed. My husband loves the fried chicken from this chain. They have other ready made meals as well. Just an average grocery store experience here, nothing too notable. read more

August 2022: 5: I searched the area while trying to find a grocery store to pick up some items to snack on before I had to report for class. When I entered the store, I immediately noticed that it was very neat, clean and organized. I moved towards the bakery and then on to the deli section. I saw a worker behind the counter who greeted me and asked if she could help me. I placed my order and waited for her to finish preparing the sandwich. This deli worker was friendly and competent. She neatly wrapped the sandwich and advised that the condiments were behind me along with the napkins if needed. I walked over to select some fruit and decided to pick up a couple bananas as well. The produce area was very well color coordinated with the apples and oranges. There were two men standing in the area, seemingly admiring their color coordinating work of course, who asked if I needed help. I was just looking for bananas that were a little bit more yellow and individual ones if there were any separate ones in the store. They answered my question and I was off to finish my shopping. This entire experience in the store left me thinking that this store is well managed. The cashier on my way out was also very friendly and confident and waited patiently as I tried to pull up the app to pay for my items. read more

This is my local publix and my favorite in the city of Weston. Every employee at this location is always extremely friendly and helpful and always goes out of their way to help you find what you need. I always have a great experience with their meat and seafood department in particular, offering to break packages, cut meat to my preference and offer advice on cuts and types of meat/fish. They are always knowledgeable on their product they are selling. The store is always pristine. All of the shelves remain "faced" with everything in its place. Checkout always does their best to open as many lanes as possible to ensure fastest service and always leaves each guest with a smile. read more

Disgusting inflated price gouging by these scumbags! Everything prior to COVID19 was expensive at this publix location compared to other Publix's and grocery stores but now it's even more expensive! Simple Philadelphia 7.5 oz cream cheese is almost $5 more expensive. Taking advantage of people who are out of work with barely any income trying to stay above water to support their families. Publix tries to sell this "friendly family/neighborhood" while they price gouge the shit out of everything and put profits above everything else. read more

Food from this store keeps spoiling or was already spoiled upon purchase, just in the past 2 or so months; it was fine for 5 years before now. Examples: Greenwise ultra pasteurized organic whole milk that turned bad 6 weeks before expiration and a mere 4 days after opening; Publix prepared meal box with expiration date in 2 days that had already gone bad; Boar's Head deli meat that was already bad when I got it; fishy sushi (several times); fishy grilled shrimp dumplings (?! They come frozen, so idk how you mess that up); raspberries that molded within a day of purchase; oranges that molded within 4 days of purchase. I am actually terrified to buy anything fresh or requiring refrigeration at this point because, best case scenario is that I've wasted money, worst case is food poisoning. Nothing is safe. Plus awful customer service at the deli hot bar including 4 employees in quick succession telling me "someone will be right with you" and no one ever was. The hatch chile mac & cheese is really good, though. read more

WOW! This Publix is kicking'! Totally caught me off guard, for sure they must've had an interior designer or some special design team because this updated spot is GORGEOUS! Lets start by saying, RIP Old Brick Publix, a true landmark in Weston... Im pretty sure it was the first Publix out here, you will be missed... Now this new one, is bigger, nicer and very clean. Everything is easy to find, huge banners highlight whatever your little heart desires. The staff is great as well with the exception of one individual that clearly didn't want to be working, they were all helpful and polite! I take pride in this new Publix. I'm surprised to see negative reviews for this place. I come here about three times a week as I live around the corner. I have never experienced rude staff or employees at all. I am constantly asked if I could use help locating groceries and otherwise. There is a male manager that wears glasses and a blond female manager that say hello to me every time I see them. Unfortunately I am not good with names or I would recognize them on here to give them credit. I always feel welcomed here. I see many familiar faces and the turnover does not seem high. I find the employees at the checkouts to be very polite and never have attitude. I will say I have experienced other customers in front of me in line being rude to the younger employees, which is deplorable. I live in weston too. It seems to give some people a sense of entitlement to treat certain people with disrespect. I didn't see that as much when I lived in other locations in West Broward. Something I guess I will never understand. But I can't understand the negative reviews and I feel obliged to write a positive one as I have had 0 negative experiences here. read more

While waiting for my husband to come back to the car as I waited right in front of this Publix store he observed an employee disposing of miscellaneous plastic bags from an electronic shopping cart that was left right in front of the store and throwing it on the ground right in front of my car. My husband and I were outraged that the employee blatantly threw the garbage on the ground and took the cart inside instead of taking the garbage with him and disposing of it in the proper receptacle. I decided to take pics of the litter when lo and behold we see the employee coming back outside and we said, good maybe he is going to do the right thing, pick up the garbage and throw it away properly but no, he proceeded to walk right by it and into the parking lot. I'm glad I already had my camera out and snapped a picture of the guy. I think this type of behavior is despicable and completely unbecoming and unacceptable for a Publix employee. I thought their standards were better than that and this employee clearly does not exemplify Publix' high standards. Shame on him... read more

Went here with my boyfriend to get lunch and the older woman in the deli section and the young guys were literally staring at us and were obviously making comments to one another. Extremley unprofessional. If the lady is going to size people up when theyre just trying to order food she should be fired honestly. Won't be back again. read more
