AVOID THIS STORE AT ALL COST! The Pharmacy is a JOKE, with no customer service and a piss poor attitude. I really think they hire kids to stock shelves and when the pharmacy gets busy they have them work the counter, because it seemed like not one of the employees behind the counter had a clue as to how the pharmacy worked. On 1 December I visited Publix in the morning ordered a small container of collard greens. After a ride home I consumed the collar greens and was terribly sick for four days. it could only have been food poisoning, I had nothing else to eat that morning. I went back to the store spoke with a manager who basically said he was going to speck with the deli department and that was the end of the conversation. I will never eat another thing from any deli at Publix ,if management can be so cavalier with foodborne illness complaints. read more

Opened this cheese minutes after purchasing it at this Publix. Appeared to look fine and good exp. date. Must have been stored in the wrong temperature. Because once I opened it. There was mold all over it. Bit sad coming from Publix. I don't shop here anymore read more

I can honestly say that shopping is not a pleasure at this Publix location. Last night, we went to the deli for some quick sandwiches for dinner. The gentleman who waited on us was ridiculous. Actually both the gentleman working the sandwich station were terrible. They were incredibly slow & could not manage to get a sandwich route to save their lives. We started with my sandwich and that was made properly. However the last two sandwiches were such a struggle to get correct that I left infuriated. Two chicken tender subs on white bread with bacon was such a disappointing experience to get correct but I've never been that aggravated before my life at a Publix. The gentleman started off after we gave him our order by grabbing wheat bread after we clearly stated white bread. Had I not been paying attention the sandwiches would've been so wrong. The gym and then grab the wrong cheese and then proceeded to put the bacon on top of the sandwich, should've been the bacon cooker. Everything he did to make those two sandwiches had to be corrected and then he felt the need to make a snide comment that he was just making the way we said we wanted them under his breath. After watching interaction of the other deli clerk with the customers to our right, he was just as bad as the gentleman that was waiting on us and those customers were getting just as aggravated as we were. I would love to know what location that shopping is a pleasure at Publix because I have not found it yet, especially not here in Northport. read more

Even though my check ins don't reflect it, I'm typically at this Public every day when I visit my sister in North Port. Lots of parking, store is clean and staff is friendly! And now that they offer online ordering for the deli, Public is pretty much my happy place. It's the one of the main reasons I come to Florida.....that and my family! read more

Not on par with other publix I have shopped at. Feels like certain depts are not well run. I like my bread sliced thin and instead of taking off rack at bakery I ask for loaf behind counter to be sliced. This seems to be off putting to bakery employee... who says there are pre sliced ones already on rack. I don't need attitude buying $4 a loaf bread. The produce seems to be not so fresh...tomatoes that are going bad and grapes that have passed. Bagged salads also have slimy and black leaves. There is an over all feel of a poorly managed store... with some depts managed worse. Not enough check outs either!! I have been a publix shopper for 12 years. I may not stay one. I shop for quality and customer service 1st and price second...but this store on my 20 or so visits since moving here have not lived up to even Walmart! Really not a pleasure. read more

While this is a handy location to where I live it is not a very good Publix. I recently moved here in Apollo Beach where both Publix were MUCH better.. I find issues to be the largest in the produce with some in the bakery as well as some general poor stocking issues. The produce section fruits often are near the end of life and even have fruit flies sometimes. The bagged salads are often puffy (sign of being near end of life) and others I bought did not have shelf life left and went bad . I wonder if they are turning the coolers to a higher temp at night to save money?? I also always buy 2 loaves of sliced sourdough at the bakery when I go but many times they are out at this store. It seems many times there are not enough cashier lanes open. .... Its all the little things added with the big things that make this store not up to what I am used to with Publix I do not mind spending more money to get great quality and service...And my years of shopping exclusively at Publix is my tribute to that....However this store is making me reconsider and with the new Aldis, Walmart super center, Walmart Neighborhood store and multitude of other stores that are less expensive but offering as good or better quality of goods and service why should I shop here? I came here in a hurry. I haven't been to this area but i needed things quickly. There was a very nice employee willing to help me when he saw me carrying some items. I was approached by a man in glasses with a cart. I was like "omg you are an angel" And he said "do you need help finding anything else?" I said i needed bananas and Fiji water pack. He told me to meet him at the front. As i was checking out, he came and brought me the waters and bananas! He saved me time. Even pushed my cart. I offered him a $5 tip and said "thank you i appreciate it" And he said "no ma'am, this is my job, I'm happy i helped you, happy new year" I asked him his name His name was Tyler. I got into my rental car- and was like "wow that's like the nicest supermarket employee i ever encountered" Publix is awesome! We don't have that type of service in Vegas, or even my Whole Foods bear my house. read more

I wish Publix was nationwide. The employees are always helpful and the store is always clean. Can't say enough about this place. I was told the chicken tender sandwiches were the bees knees. While they are good, they are not the best. Regardless, I love the deli and the ready made foods here! read more

Ever since the hurricane, this store has gone downhill. We stocked up on canned goods and my son got sick after eating a can of soup from here. The can was dated 2-17 and never should have been on the shelf. Tonight, we made pasta we got from there and it had maggots. Once again, we had to return a product to this store. Corporate is now aware of the management practices there. We will no loner shop here! We sent pictures of the last issue to their headquarters and hope they change things here. Beware till then what you buy. The local store people seem to find this funny, we do not and will pursue this. read more

I needed cupcakes for a special birthday. They went out of their way to make sure that they knew exactly what I wanted. On the day of the event when I went to pick up the cupcakes, I was blown away at how great they looked! Will definitely use them again. read more

Great place to do everyday grocery shopping.Nice atmosphere,bit price compared to Walmart almost everything is least a $1.00 more. We usually pick up sandwiches from the deli when we have guests and everybody wants something different to take out for a boat trip or beach picnic. Great way to please a crowed without the mess. Also ordered cakes from here.It was great,they have mini cakes,just enough for about 4-6 people.Perfect size for a small family birthday party.Big selection,tastes great and it was actually cheaper than if I would try to make it at home. read more

Shopping it a pleasure, as Publix wants it. The nice part about this one in particular., and maybe cause it's close to home, but I really like how the staff gets to know you and talks to you. This is the most friendly Publix out of all of them I have been to. It's less than a mile from my home. The employees are friendly and the store always has a great selection. I had the worst experience I've had in a Publix in a long time on Friday, Feb 23. First, as I was going through check out, I had to educate my bagger on the importance of not putting a heavy bag of rice on top of my veggies so they wouldn't get bruised. When I finally finished with check out I told my bagger that I needed to replace 2 water jugs at customer service. Instead of offering to help load the new bottles he told me to "have a nice day" and walked away. At the customer service counter the three reps were busy talking & laughing. They completely missed seeing me approach. Two other employees walked up after me (they looked like managers). The first one was rung up before me while the two other girls continued to chat until one was finally asked to help. The second girl went to help the other employee ahead of me, too, but fortunately she told them I had been there first. As I sat there waiting for her to refund and exchange the bottles she continued to giggle and talk about smart phones. She returned the bottles, but got distracted before selling me the replacement bottles until the girl next to her continued the transaction. They even laughed and joked about how long it was taking to ring me up and how I probably just wanted to get my water and go. No one apologized. When I went to get the replacement jugs, no one offered to help me load them or put my groceries in my car. This was definitely not behavior I expect from Publix. I could have gone to Walmart and gotten the same treatment. Of course, there, I wouldn't have been surprised. read more
