A culinary masterpiece that would rival the gilded plates of Paris or the meticulous omakase of Tokyo. Her name? Jonaz. Jonaz, the legend behind the counter, was calmly commanding the sub station with a full line of customers waiting. Despite the pressure and the pace, she took her time to do it right, and let me tell you, she delivered. I ordered the hot honey chicken sandwich with all the toppings, and what Jonaz handed me was, without a doubt, the best sandwich I've ever had. I'm talking Michelin star level layering. She managed to stuff everything I asked for into the sandwich like a pro, every bite perfectly balanced, nothing falling apart, no shortcuts taken. The chicken was hot and juicy, the honey drizzle hit that sweet and spicy note just right, and the toppings were fresh, crisp, and somehow not spilling out all over the place. The bread held it all like it was born to do this. Even under pressure, Jonaz crafted a sandwich that most gourmet delis would envy. I've been shopping at this location often on for several years now. It was never very convenient, but I did pass by it with some frequency. However, things have changed and this is fast becoming the location that I'm shopping at this location more and more of the time. This location is always busy when I'm there, but I can usually still get in and out without problems. On my latest stop, I had to interact with some of the employees I think for the first time. The ones I talk to were quite helpful and I was able to get what I needed. This is one of the locations that's quite convenient to Disney World, which adds to it Busyness. The grocery section has an extensive collection of goods and I am always finding items here that I wasn't finding at my old location. There is ample parking in the lot with accessible spaces near the front and the usual accessible entrance. It's well lit inside and items are very clearly marked. They tend to have a lot of of their self checkouts open and they seem to have more of them than many of the other locations I've been in locally. They even have a Wayback Burgers, which is very tempting every time I walk by it. read more

This is my first time going to Publix. I was told that the prepared food at Publix was really good. So, I went to buy some cakes there. We purchased three cakes, and they were all beautiful and delicious. I would recommend Publix for prepared food. The reason why I'm not giving this five stars is because I tried to return some merchandise to Publix and was told that the particular Publix store I went to didn't carry the items I was trying to return because I purchased them at another publix store not three or 4 miles down the road. And, that the Publix are not connected, so you can't just buy at one store and return in another; you have to go back to the exact store you purchased from to make returns. Which is ridiculous! Come on folks, it's 2024; Publix, you should have connected stores, so that somebody buying something at one Publix can return it to another. Every other store has been doing that for decades. Publix has become the leading name in the supermarket field here in the southeast. Once you experience a Publix supermarket yourself, I am confident that you will understand how Publix has become such an iconic supermarket brand and has developed such a loyal customer base down here in the southeast. Publix has created a solid reputation by offering incredible customer service, great BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals and we cannot forget their subs, which are affectionately known as "Pub Subs." Coming from New Jersey, a state known for their great subs, in a way it hurts me to state that a supermarket has some of the best subs in the area. But it is also a 100% true statement. Publix subs are very good. My go-to sub is probably their Italian sub, which is truly a tasty offering. I also enjoy their roast beef and cheese sub. I would definitely recommend upgrading it by using Boar's Head meat. It is definitely worth the small upcharge. It is great to see Publix expanding beyond the boundaries of their home state of Florida and spreading throughout the southeast. Not only am I happy about it, but I am confident that the communities that Publix opens a location in are very grateful for a Publix opening by them. I would definitely recommend this particular Publix location or any Publix location and I give it five stars. read more

I personally like Publix. I understand that it is a bit higher than other stores, like Walmart, but it's also right in our neighborhood. It offers a huge selection, including recipes and the ingredients, has an amazing deli area, great choices for wine and beer, and even includes a pharmacy. Customer service is always excellent here. The cashiers engage in a conversation with you every time. They are also probably smiling, although with the masks it's hard to know. When you ask someone where to find an item, they don't point, they lead you to it. The young woman working in the meat area put her personal conversation on hold while I shopped, even though I didn't need anything and was just browsing. Finally, the deli sells made to order sandwiches while you wait, using the fresh deli choices. The overall experience is great. 8 years ago when I first moved to the area, this store was 5 stars. Loved it! Now? I avoid it like the plague. I don't go unless I absolutely have to. I will drive the extra couple of miles and go to the Champions Gate location instead. This place is almost always packed. (If you must, go early in the morning). Super long lines at checkout. And the cashiers act like they hate their life. I've had one stocker that was super nice. She and I had a conversation one day about our pets while I was in the pet aisle. We used to stop by the deli and get a sub. Now, most of the time, the sandwich line is a mile long, unorganized, super slow, and most of the time skimp on toppings. One night, I had ordered online. Went at my pick up time and it was so bad that one woman that was there waiting said it was an hour after her pickup and hers STILL wasn't ready. We walked out. We went across the street and got a sandwich at Wawa instead. read more

I never came because you and your coworker said you'd CONTACT me!! Why would i come back and check on it when you said you'd call me?? When I asked Brandon what their process was to fill out of area prescription since his coworker stated 3-4 days. He told me, she gave me an overzealous answer. Wow!! This is how they feel about about their customers!!! Zero effs!! Do your job! This is for the PHARMACY. My complaint is for Publix Pharmacy and reps who helped me. The location is located at: 7800 Lake Wilson Rd Davenport, FL 33896 On Monday morning at 9am, I called and spoke with Brandon about getting my antibiotics transferred from my regular pharmacy in Vacaville, CA. We were on vacation and I had a really bad UTI. Brandon took down all my information and told me it would take about 24hrs IF he could get to it today. I was in a lot of pain so I contacted my Kaiser pharmacy in Vacaville, CA and they stated it takes a quick call from the receiving pharmacy and they would send over the prescription. They even gave me a direct number. So I drove down to Publix, a Caucasian lady helped me, she now tells me it can take 3-4 days and it's not instant once the call and prescription is received. She said "processing" takes that long. And said it's takes even longer at other pharmacies. I told her ok, here is a direct line and my medical record number to help you when you call. She reassured me she would contact me once it was ready. It's now Friday 12/10/21 and I'm headed back to California with no medication and lots of pain. I'm wondering, if a traveler lost their medication on a flight and their life depended on these meds, how would they get it in the time they need it? Or do they just die since processing takes 3-4 days? Or is it because I was Asian? The process here seems a bit sketchy. Does Florida pharmacy's let travelers die because of their "processing" time? read more

Moved near here last week and have been in there almost daily at different times...this store is ALWAYS busy! Aside from that, the staff is genuinely nice given the fast paced, stressfulness of their job. They get a lot of foreigners trying to find product, figure out how to pay, etc and everyone is so pleasant and chatty that you can't help not be irritated in line! The deli line is ridiculously slow whether it be 7pm or 2pm. Slow slow slow. There have only ever been two people working each time I've gotten subs made to order, but the ladies were friendly enough and apologetic to those of us in line. Fresh fruit bowls are fantastic. I've gotten one almost daily, the fruit guys prob know my face by now. They are cutting and prepping bowls each time I've been by to grab one and are always super nice and ask if I need anything. The fruit in the bowls is always fresh and never soggy. I'm not usually a "store brand" kinda girl, but someone in line told me to try their product and I must say I'm impressed. Another plus, NO CARD REQUIRED! One less piece of plastic I have to carry to get savings! Major bonus points from me!! So, in short, if you go to this location, expect it to be crazy crowded, expect to stand in line and expect super friendly people throughout! read more

Great Publix to shop and work for. I can shop incognito here and still receive the awesome customer service I know we give. We have so many new products all over the store with a great selection. Produce is by far my favorite. Staff is very knowledgeable about dept products and always have the freshest fruits and vegetables to pick from and get it out on the floor fast. I really needed to update my review for this particular Publix. I 'll start off by saying that the parking SUCKS. There is NEVER parking and people just walk and don't care for the drivers. This store use to have great customer service but it has since gone down hill fast since all of these new developments have moved in. The store isn't as neat as it use to be. I stopped by on Friday to get a birthday cake and let's just say I had no choice but to get a cake that looked like someone had swipe their finger on the side of it. I was quickly regretting coming to this location. Another thing that drives me nuts about this location is that there prices are NEVER correct. I got a pack of meatballs that were on Sale for like $4.99 BUT it rang up as like $7.50 so I told the cashier and she kept insisting that it wasn't on sale. She walked away to go check so I waited. She then brought back another bag same kind but it was the home style instead of Italian meatballs. I didn't feel like arguing and I was in a rush so I was like whatever. But as she rang it up it was like $7.80 or something like that. I then looked at her like um no. So she called the store manager I can't remember her name all I can say is that she was so nasty and just seemed like she hates her job. She then started to tell me I had the wrong one, I said let me show you. So we walked over to the freezer section again she was so nasty and seemed very upset with me. (I was till keeping my cool) I pointed and said SEE the price is $4.99 for the Italian AND home style. She then tells me well see this one is by one get one which was another brand. I said MA'AM I would like this one in your hand. We then walk away and again she was with this rude attitude. We walk to the register and I tell her I would like the Italian since the price IS $4.99. She didn't say not one word she just press some buttons and walked away with out a word. The cashier looked confused and was like well I guess its free. I was so upset because as the point people were looking at me like I was stealing. I quickly stormed off. On my drive home I just couldn't calmed down so I called the store to speak to the manager. Just by her voice (cause she sounded miserable) . I started to explained what had just happen and she quickly cut me off "Ma'am I am sorry to cut you off but that was me" I said well you were VERY rude and just walked away without not even saying a word about it being free the cashier was also confused. She then started to blame it on the cashier by saying she was new and don't understand that if the price is wrong you get the item for free. NEWS TO ME! SO she said I could have gotten the free Italian one and the other at the $4.99 BUT she failed to explained this to me when she was rudely cashing me out. Nonetheless she was just as rude over the phone and placing the blame on the cashier when the rude one was the manager. I always forget to just go to the four corners location as they are MUCH nicer and have better customer service skills. I am so looking forward the the new Aldi's and the new Publix coming soon hopefully they will be a great addition to out neighborhood. So do your self the favor and go to the Publix in Four corners and they always have parking. read more

I work for Shipt and today I had an order that was so large I needed 4 carts to round it all up. Every employee was extremely helpful by promptly directing me to items I couldn't find, holding my filled carts aside in customer service while I filled more, and then finally 3 of the employees escorted me to my car and loaded the entire order in for me. I would've never made it to that delivery on time if it wasn't for the staff here that went above and beyond. They truly made my day, I was so exhausted from lifting so many heavy items all day and they just fixed it by being so friendly and helpful. Thank you all! Especially TK, Evan and Bobby for taking the time to walk all of my items to my car and figure out how to fit them in there carefully. You guys are amazing! read more

Loving this location! They updated the store which rearranged all the aisles but the store looks great. So much new products and the new cold food selection wall in the deli department is amazing. I am so disgusted with the manager Rhea of this store. My 14 daughter is currently dealing with chemo and all the side effects. I shop here almost every day. She has always sat in the shopping cart since they do not have the Caroline Cart like other stores. Rhea came over and rudely yelled at us. She was sitting with her service animal because she was to tired to walk. Not once did she ask why or even attempt to be kind. She has seen us over 100 times I have the recept to prove it. Other customers came over in shock to see how we were treated. Since when can children not sit in the basket. She is to young to drive and ECV. I have to say the service and cleanliness is top notch. Also extremely friendly staff. The one thing that is consistently horrible is the service in the Deli. They are either under staffed or really slow. It's a shame because I have complained about it numerous times, I was told what I wanted to hear but I never saw any improvement . They oughta at least over staff during rush lunch hour. Overall very pleased with this store. One gentleman deserves a shout out is Michael in the seafood department. Clean store high prices. Some prices, such as $2.69 for a brick of cream cheese was certainly shocking. However, it was was close to our resort which is the only reason we went. One exit further down the highway and you'll find a Walmart super center. Produce sucked and there was little in the way of organic options. The cashier was very friendly. read more

My last visit, three days ago, was disturbing though, because several customers were without masks, and no one from the staff seemed to say anything to them. It's so disrespectful and selfish to disregard public safety, especially for the cashiers who have to interact with them. When I mentioned it to the cashier, she said managers are supposed to speak with customers who are not adhering to the policy. I did then talk to a manager, who said he would say something, but it seemed if I hadn't complained, it would just be ignored. I'm not too excited to go back. read more

This is the Publix that is closest to me so I shop here very often. The staff are all helpful and friendly, especially the pharmacy department. They are truly awesome. A couple things that could use improvement is for one The Deli. They are way under staffed. Having to stand in line behind someone who is ordering several different things for at least a half hour is unacceptable. Now there sometimes are people milling around in the back but they are careful not to make eye contact with you, so I assume they're not supposed to actually wait on anyone? Also, during the day the aisles are constantly blocked with people stocking the shelves. Now I know this is necessary but it should either be done overnight when the store is closed. Or the workers need more training on letting customers get past them. read more

I waited in line at the Deli for 10 minutes to order a sub after the lady told us they would be right with us. Assuming she was going to finish what she was doing and assist us, I patiently waited, until I saw she was continuing to make other sandwiches for a giant order for people who weren't even there. The ONLY reason I didn't walk off without the sub is because my girlfriend really wanted it. The lady didn't even make the sandwich correctly, and ultimately the wait made us miss an appointment. Shopping here is great, but this review is specifically about the deli. I don't know what's going on with them. The wait times are rediculous and the products are not what I'm used to getting from a Publix deli. Tonight we ordered the Boars head Mediterranean hummas and veggie wrap (sounds awesome, right?) and a turkey wrap. Obviously, first problem was the looong wait. My husband spoke to the manager about it and she apologized. I was hoping it was going to be worth the wait, but it most certainly was not. It was awful, sloppy, and soggy. Never again. I always visit this Publix after going to the gym. The store is clean and the employees are all pretty friendly from what I have experienced. The prices at the store are a little more expensive than other stores but it is not a big deal. There are often sales on some products anyways so there are still chances to save on your purchase. My trips into this Publix are pretty quick and I never have to wait too long in line. The store checkout areas always has enough people and an express lane for those who have ten items or less. Overall this is a good store and I will continue to come here. read more
