No review of Publix would be complete without mentioning their subs, affectionately known as "Pub Subs." My go-to sub here is their Italian or roast beef. I wanted to update my review of this Publix because it has been my local and most convenient Publix since it opened back in 2013 I think. I'm happy to have a Publix so convenient to my home, however, we really need another one! I pretty sure this is the busiest Publix on the planet. It is always crowded! Check out lines are long. Parking is a nightmare and the store just cannot keep up. It would seem there are other Publix in the area, but if you've sat in traffic on 27 or 17 you know that even if the next Publix is only 5-6 miles away it is easily a 20+ minute drive to the next one. Seriously, Reunion, Champions Gate, Bella Citta, or Haines City are all going to take you 20 min or more. This is why this one is just so overwhelmed and not a pleasure to shop at anymore. read more

The grocery store was near our rental house. They had decent produce and bakery items. There was a decent "touristy" section with t-shirts, towels and other items that said "Florida" on them. The store was a bit crowded, but it looked like lots of people were getting flowers or items for Mother's Day. read more

I had been going here for a few years, but not anymore. The deli has been on a downward spiral for some time now. I expect it is due to all the new homes in the area. But my main issue is with the pharmacy. Too many times has there been issues with my prescriptions. I get text messages saying they are ready only to find out they are not when I arrive. Also, when there are issues they repeatedly failed to communicate it until you show up to pick them up. There hours of operation are the shortest of any other pharmacy in the area. And it seems the staff is changing all the time now. You have to wonder about a place with a lot of staff turnover. I am going somewhere else now, I am writing this place off as a lost cause. This is my local Publix, everyone is so friendly and the store is immaculate. The deli subs are perfect usually, amazing! The one thing ruining this store are the people that flooded our area. It was fine when there weren't 10x the people living here and now it's always mobbed, "understaffed" but to no fault of their own, everything is always out of stock. Waiting time is horrible at the deli. No manager around. I spend like 15 minutes for somebody to come and ask if a has been help.

This location is always super friendly to help when you ask them to, although I think that it wouldnt hurt if they offered assistance from time to time. Other than that the checkers are all really nice and actually pay attention to you instead of shouting down the line in their own personal conversations. They usually always offer my girls stickers, so much so that my 4 year old expects a sticker at ever other store we go to. haha. The sales floor is clean and stocked and the food is fresh. read more

Hate to leave a low star review but I've ordered three different times online from this Publix deli and it's never even close to the timeframe. Usually not ready until twenty minutes after the time told and that's only after you say something. Other than that it's a typical Publix but the deli/hot food area needs some improvements on operations. read more

This place was nice. It was near our house. I signed up for the app and paid with it and received $5 off my first grocery shopping items. It liked the place. They had everything that I needed from food, to beer, wine, whiskey etc; whatever you want they pretty much had it. They followed the COVID rules and regulations. A mask was required. To say Publix is anything less than a pleasure, is to understand, you are not at PUBLIX. This Publix here at St. Charles Place, is always clean, orderly and the staff will go above and beyond their call of duty. Though grocery prices are rising I continue to enjoy shopping at Publix. Can not go wrong with BOGO and their decent vegan selections! I do hope they start selling So Good So You juices along side the wellness shots. If you are lucky enough you'll have Miss June ring you up at the register and man oh man is she a delight! **Be cautious the parking lot at times can be quite the danger zone. It make little difference which Publix you shop at - the very fact that they have a well-known monopoly in Florida, supports why they don't give a hoot about whether you like their (pathetic/poor) business etiquette. 1. They opt to stock shelves with huge carts in the way - while customers (hint hint the people who pay your salaries) have to try to maneuver around not only the people stocking the shelves but their huge carts as well. Other grocery stores in other states, stock their shelves in the middle of the night and pay their employees a good, graveyard salary - so this can be done when the store is closed and no customers are present. 2. Make sure to check the expiration dates on nearly everything you purchase at Publix - they are notorious for selling stuff where the dates have expired as much as 30 days past due. Point is - their employees are not trained to take a look evidently, and/or remove expired items when straightening the shelves. 3. How does a store run out of paper sacks to bag your groceries ? I attended one store the other day - and not even one paper sack within the entire store - for customers to bag their groceries - oh yes, plenty of the plastic stuff, but there are cases when customers need a paper bag for their groceries. 4. Even at the meat deli counter - you cannot rely on receiving meat that hasn't expired. A few years ago - I ordered 2 lbs of a particular meat - got it home and tried to eat it - noticed it was all gooey - scummy - and even smelled. This was for a specific event - luncheon - that I was serving guests within my home. Yes, I returned it - but what a pain to have to deal with that. 5. Tried to purchase "fresh" bakery bread only to see that it was going to expire the very next day. Not one other loaf available within the bakery that read anything different - - - what a joke !!!! Overall - if this grocery store had some competition, perhaps they would change some of their attitude toward customers - as it stands, in most cases, the help is very pushy and rude and it stands to reason - because if you don't like how they treat you - where else are you going to shop for your groceries ??? read more

Disappointed in your bakery. I ordered a hummingbird cake for my birthday, obviously no one there knows how to make it. The sad thing is you advertise the correct recipe on your website made with pineapple and banana and coconut. I got a plain yellow cake with cream cheese icing. You said that was a hummingbird cake. Publix is always a winner in my book. The chain is consistent no matter where we visit them. We were on our way to our niece's dance recital and popped in here to grab her, and her sister (who just graduated from the fifth grade), bouquets. As usual Publix delivered. The floral section is just inside and immediately to the right, which is pretty normal for all the stores. They had everything from small mixed bouquets to dozens of roses in a vase. We grabbed a bouquet of a dozen pink roses and a bouquet of a dozen pink carnations. Check out was fast and easy with multiple cashiers available. And we were in our way with pretty flowers for some pretty girls! Both nieces loved their flowers. :) Overall: A Consistently awesome chain! read more

I was very unhappy that Publix made facemasks mandatory in July this year because of COVID restrictions, so I stopped shopping there. But actually things have gotten better not going inside. I refuse to wear a mask inside, so we order Curbside Pickup instead. For the couple of dollars more it is definitely worth it. We have actually saved a lot of money in the long run because we only order just what we need online through Instacart and don't spend any extra money going up and down isles getting things we don't need. Plus, no direct interaction with anyone, you don't have to wait in deli lines or fish counter. Just drive to the designated parking spot, then the groceries are delivered directly to the car, pop the trunk and take off. Never need to get out of the car and stay in A/C comfortable car. I actually like it better. :-) The only CON is that you can't actually look and feel the produce or expiration labels, but I leave a note with the Instacart picker to use their best judgment and pick the best for me. So far it's worked out fine. read more

The service at this Publix has gone down in the last couple months and items in stock has gone down or least restocking has gone down went other day on weekend when usually very busy and they didn't have enough lanes open only 2 regular lanes and a express lane read more

I like the location and it's not as busy as some but I hate when they run out of chicken wings and you gave to wait 20 minutes. But other than that there always clean and well lit. The people working are always nice and the cashiers are fast. read more

This place has gotten worse over the years...the only good thing is the customer service...this place is invaded by nasty flies that they seen not to be able to get rid of for some reason...i do not want to get deli meats anymore or subs or even meats or fruits i rather go further out to the other publix or just go to walmart...i used to go more often to this publix because it is 6-7 minutes from my house but no anymore...please publix do something about these flies there is way to many and its disgusting and unsanitary read more

If you make what they consider too many returns for bad products they now give me and others a hard time! I purchase Thousands of dollars at this Publix but managers now there call me rude or say I am notorious or worse and do not show me much respect as a customer the way they should. Came here for a few last minute items needed at the house. The store was clean and the parking was as well. I don't particularly like this chain because it seams to me to be more expensive than other stores. The BOGO are not as good as you might think. Doubling the price and giving one free does not set right with me. They do have some deals but when shopping here I use my WM app to make sure it is not costing more. read more

We were traveling to a conference in Tampa and on this particular road there wasn't many choices for food. so we saw this public and decided to stop in and grab a sub. I must mention that it was very clear, well lit and the appearance of the store was laid out very nice. I'm a fan of Publix because of their attentiveness to their customers. they treat you like they know you. so with that said we get to the counter to order sub we see an employee standing there but didn't realize she was there to place a order so she kind of made a sound and I acknowledged by asking "are you waiting" she responded "yes" so I let her go ahead. She continued to chat up with another employee on the side that is why I didn't think she was waiting to order. however she took forever to order, was indecisive, even the person serving her was getting a bit annoyed. she was on a new diet and had restrictions as to what she could eat. I understand but when you work there, on a break and customers standing behind you. The considerate thing to do would be to at least know what you want! anyways another person saw the line and came over to help out, well she was hilarious and made our visit a pleasure! (sorry i don't recall her name) she was great we went to register to pay and again greeted my another nice employee:-) overall we had a great Publix experience and the sub was delicious! read more

hubby went to Publix today and bought me what is made as Easter bread,I"m from NY and this bread is in NO way Easter bread! First of all sugar sprinkled on top of a Round loaf of tasteless bread and filled with candied fruit does not make it Easter bread! Please take the time to learn the correct way to make this traditional bread or just don"t bother with it at all! Exceptional food store to shop at. The staff is always up beat and positive. The manager was readily available for me to speak with one day. I mentioned that with the exception of one item they didn't have, I did all my shopping there. He then offered to try to obtain it for me. Also they load your groceries into your car if you need help. My favorite part however is their on site cooking by Aprons. You can watch the ladies prepare the meals and have a taste. Then if that's not enough, all of the ingredients you need to make the meal are located right next to where they prepared the meal, for you to purchase. Plus all the delicious recipes are printed up for you. You can also check on line for additional coaching and classes. I've become quite the cook now thanks to Public. Great store! read more

This Publix has a horrible pharmacy, the staff is lazy and rude. They will leave you on hold forever then say they will call you back, they never did call me back, would not contact my doctor office regarding my daughters perscription. Took them well 24 hours to contact doctor office and only after I called them back twice. Their automated system called me saying my medication was ready and that it was one price I get there and it's another price. Pharmacist has no idea why. Then I get calls for someone else's scripts the same day. Turns out it's someone else's scripts. Hello hippa violation . This pharmacy is horrible read more
