Gotta love a Publix! These are the best supermarkets and you can always expect the same standards when you walk into them! This location is no exception...friendly staff, clean bathrooms, huge variety of items, excellent pub subs! Waited at the deli on 1258 Ocean Shore Blvd, for 15 mins while the workers stumbled around both making one sub. The customer base resembled cattle all gathering around the troth. I told the workers that the woman in front of me was first, and that the cattle braying besides us had just surrounded the counters instead of continuing the line we had formed. They continued to serve the idiots who swarmed the counters instead of the clear line that had formed a solid 10 minutes before they all swarmed. The two workers have no awareness what so ever. If you are a rude braying cow this is a troth that will feed you first. If you are a civilized person who follows the clearly marked line starts here sign, you may just go unnoticed. I left after minute 20, unserved, and they still had not even helped the woman and child who were in the line when I first walked up. I will never be back. read more

This is currently my primary local grocery store. The products and prices here are typical of any major chain grocery store, however what stands out to me the most about this store is that the staff are pleasant and polite. I'm often greeted with a "hello" by a staff member when crossing them in an aisle or while browsing produce. And on several occasions, while shopping in the store, I have been asked unsolicited if I need help finding anything... Just old fashioned customer service which is unfortunately becoming a rarity. read more

This is a lovely Publix, a little smaller than many others I've been to but it has all the necessities you'd desire. The butcher was so very helpful and we discussed cuts of meat. The deli man could not have been more kind to me and even handed me my meat in my electric scooter. People around the store ask if I need help and I they can help me find what I'm looking for. The cashier is pleasant and prompt. The bagger offered to help me to my car, but I told her my husband is outside. The prices in all Publix is always a little higher, but I'd rather pay for the kind service I get. It's worth it to me. I will definitely be back again. read more

There is no sense of urgency for some checkers and baggers here. Pricing is high and they don't have everything needed. My mom and I had two separate orders and checker Laureen was sadly so slow and talkative that our frozen food was thawed before we got to the hot parking lot. I went to a separate lane and was done before my mom. They also put very few items in bags which adds waste to the planet. Wish there was a Kroger or other alternative for groceries near my parents condo. read more

Pharmacy staff said we'd have to wait a day for Tramadol generic pain medication. When pressed (patient in pain) they said 90 minutes. I came back 100 minutes later--still not ready. Had to wait ten more minutes. No apology, no explanation. Also: $25 for 30 pills - for generic Tramadol! read more

Nice Publix on the beach that has been renovated after a hurricane several years back. Plenty of parking and it never seams busy. It is on the peninsula and has a beach laid-back way of life. Everyone is on island time. They have a good selection but may not have everything the larger Publix's have. Overall a great place when you are on the island. read more

I live in Ormond. Staff is amazing in all departments. However, when you get to the checkout aisle there are always only a few lanes open ( 10 items or less or a regular aisle), Its so frustrating to get all of your items, and then sit in line. It has happen more times than I can count. On top of that I am paying top dollar! Publix is not inexpensive. On that note, Please pull everyone from the shelves and get me out! I switched jobs and my new insurance kicked in the first of the year. I had trouble figuring out co-pays and how to order... should I get 30 days or 90? Lisa was a Superstar. She was busy on Sunday, but took the time to help me find a coupon online. When that didn't work, she went back and revised the order from 30 days to 90 days. That one thing saved me $50. Went shopping in the middle of the night with a friend, got there about 9:30pm we were shopping and ended up being the last two people in the store. They were very nice to us. Not the best Publix in the state. Understaffed in the early morning. Pharmacy is slow. Inventory on the shelves is a problem some mornings. But it is clean and better than alternatives like Winn-Dixie and Walmart. Staff is great and friendly, appears like a hands off manager. I am a regular customer so this is not a one shot assessment. read more

This Publix is clean unlike the nasty Win Dixie on Granada. If the checkout lines get to long they will open up more registers. There are always kids restocking shelves and keeping the place spotless. I'll gladly pay a little more than Walmart or those other disgusting places Aldis or Save a Lot. They still offer to take your groceries out, Try that at Walmart or WD. As far as the pharmacy the negative review was probably some crackhead picking up their Oxycodone or Percocets. Never had a problem with them and they have even stayed open a little later before the hurricanes. read more

I have shopped here since the original opening. Personnel are courteous and helpful.Store is clean, well lit, and usually well stocked. In general over priced. The "fresh" produce is not that fresh. Lettuce wilted, bunches small, because they keep removing wilted outer layers. bags of potatoes and onions spoil very quickly because they are not fresh when you buy them. Specially decorated cakes are poorly executed. Other Publlix in Daytona and outskirts make beautiful cakes .I continue to do most of my shopping here because of the location. read more

The pharmacy here is the worst. The pharmacist has no consideration for people waiting in line and wastes time chatting and chatting about nothing while people wait. Take your prescriptions anywhere else. read more

I shop in this store several times a week and love ! Every Thursday they come out with new sales and Buy 1 Get one FREE! I You can go on-line and review whats on sale so you don't miss any good sales. This is my favorite grocery store to shop. Old store was torn down and new one built in its place. The employees are very cuteous also. read more
