Looks like Kaelyn is not in the mood to work today, the way she handled my grocery was not good. She didn't even asked me if I want to plastic the milk I bought. So I didn't bother to ask, but I was upset that milk fell and busted. You can feel she didn't like what she was doing. The way she put my grocery in the bags you can tell she is not in the good mood at all. She might be tired from a long day of work, but still not an excuse. Each customer you meet in that store you give them a great attitude because they spend money. She was the only cashier there so far that I met that actually don't greet or talk to you. Need more training for sure on how to handle each customer. read more

Deli used to have an abundance of house made salads and sides. now must a bunch of "name branded" junk. for those of us that enjoyed a true deli - this is the same garbage I can get at WalMart. The most egregious errors involved the seafood department. First - the ONLY non prior - frozen shrimp were shell on and very small. Good enough, we are on the coast and our favorite fresh seafood shop closed early today so we'll just roll with it. Attendant says give him 8 minutes to steam our dinner, so we grab a couple sides and wait at the counter. The alarm goes off, but he's waiting on another customer so our dinner keeps cooking. finally takes our massacred shrimp out of the steamer and realizes he's out of butcher paper, so we wait...while the shrimp turn to putty. Once he FINALLY finishes fumbling with wrapping - no offer to put them on ice to mitigate the damage - just sends us off to pay. We literally live 2 miles away. by the time we could get home and ice this mess down, all we have left if shrimp paste. Totally inedible. I'm done with this POS store. Overpriced and surviving off brand reputation - this store SUX. read more

First of all being new to Florida and the Publix store chain. It's probably the best large chain grocery store in the country. That being said all Publix locations are not equal. Navarre location has me confused because the other locations in the area ( East and west) are absolutely wonderful. I judge a store by the deli, meat, bakery & dairy departments. 1. The deli feels very chaotic and under managed. Rare to find freshly make items and the meat cutters are always overwhelmed. Employees are very nice but the interaction between co-workers/manager just seems off. I had to return ice cream a couple times because it seemed to have been melted and refrozen. I have notified the store but obviously nothing was done. Tiger point public's is definitely a 5 star location, Wynnehaven is also 5 Star.. I stopped at this particular Publix while in Navarre Beach on business. The reason for my stop was just to stock up on my evenings needs at my hotel. Predominantly, I just needed a half gallon of Publix diet sweet tea, which is very good by the way. I also grabbed a few snacks. I had a Winn-Dixie right by my hotel, but it was closed for renovations. So it was a great surprise to find a Publix right down the street. There is a very good reason that Publix is one of the biggest supermarkets in the southeast. I would have to say the biggest reason is there fantastic customer service. It often seems as if their stance is "the answer is yes, what is the question?" But we must not diminished they're great BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals nor their fantastic subs, affectionately called Pub Subs. Being from New Jersey, where we take great pride in our subs and our sandwiches, I do see the absolute strangeness that I can say that a supermarket has the best subs. Bit it is the truth. I have to say, I agree with Wish H.'s review, not all Publix are run equally well. The deli at the Navarre Publix (#896) cannot ever have their online orders ready on time and now the last two visits were out of staple items. I love Publix and have been a loyal customer for decades. However, I have never experienced such a level of apathy among management and poorly run deli as in this particular store. I have to believe they don't have a deli manager and the store manager I spoke with could not have cared less about the problem of delivering online orders on time, even when we order hours ahead, and now a problem with running out of wraps or chicken?! What I received from Stormy was an insincere apology but no "how can we do better, let me see what the problem is", nada! The other locations always get it right and genuinely seem to want to offer a good shopping experience, why not this one? read more

Love Publix but will be staying clear of their packed produce. Their 4 pack packaged corn was slimy and smelled rancid after opening and their packed organic asparagus had mushy tips and had an off funky smell. I tried washing away the slime on the corn in hopes it would be better afterwards but you can't get rid of the smell. You can still see the white slim residue on the container. I didn't want to deal with driving back to get my money back but I did call to tell them they should pull them off the shelf and the "kid" at customer service who answered just said "uh okay" and that was it. read more

When my order was done.... I got breaded wings in a plastic lined bag (ensuring they will be soggy) and reheated naked wings from the cooler. All about 1hr after they were supposed to be ready. Very convenient location--clean and organized. My favorite? The Premium Toasted Almond Ice Cream!! Can't get it anywhere else. Plenty of parking and always find what I need. Sometimes prices are a little bit more than other grocery stores, but for the most part, not bad. read more

Really fresh produce and fare prices; 2 boxes of juicy, ripen, ruby-red strawberries for $6. They seem to have a great deli selection with many items that aren't your run-of-the-mill potato and egg salads. They carried wheatberry salads, and curry seasoned chickpea salads in addition to variety of Boar's Head Meat deli sandwiches (even a muffuletta!). If you didn't want the pre-packaged sammies, you can have one made for you fresh at their deli counter. Three varieties of soups were available and the day we stopped there, a woman was giving out samples of a salmon dinner with asparagus, and sauteed cherry tomatoes. Take that Costco! I was shopping at the deli counter with four other people in my family at the Publix in Navarre. We ordered deli quick bites with chicken tenders, potato wedges, Hawaiian roll and dipping sauce. I also bought two salads. When we went to pay the clerk charged me .49 each for sauces. I asked if the sauce was included in the price of the Quick Bites. She shrugged and said casually. I don't know. A manager was nearby and said the sauce was supposed to be included in the price. She shrugged again and said, that's the first I've heard of it! No spot on apology or offer to remedy. The manager offered to refund it, I said I'd take a pkg of cookies in exchange. He just said, what kind? I said Chocolate chip. He went to the bakery and brought me a pkg of cookies. I offered to pay cash for the difference in price. He said, enjoy the cookies. Amazing day. I'm from Orlando and my family member is stationed in Navarre Air Force. Coming from Cincinnati where grocery stores are huge because they are add things like coffee shops, jewelers, banks and sell patio furniture in the middle of the store, I have a grand appreciation for a grocery store that is just that. The nice thing about the internet is I was able to look at their weekly ad before i arrived and plan my shopping trip so I could get a week's worth of groceries for all meals. They had everything I wanted in a well-lit, clean store with friendly employees and reasonable prices (can't expect cheap apples in Florida). I will say anytime I'm near a beach area, I'm surprised there is not a bigger push for reusable bags. I realize tourists may not travel with them like I do, but not everyone here is a tourist. If you're staying in the area and need a grocery store, I recommend this one over WD. read more

This is definitely the best grocery store in the Navarre area and one of my favorites nationally when I'm near one. Compared to other options in the area it crushes: Winn-Dixie should've gone under a long time ago and compared to Walmart the prices might be a bit higher but the level of customer service, the quality of produce, and the vegetarian/health options are unmatched as is the customer service. The company as a whole has such great ethics and takes care of its employees which is something I appreciate in a business. Plus their bakery is the boss. Their breads and cakes? Amazing. We have always shopped at Publix and after moving to the Navarre area we were glad to find a store near us. Lately the environment in the store has gotten out of hand. We have adjusted to the new requests by wearing masks and shopping in the one way aisles but after the last visits earlier this week when the cashier YELLED at me for not staying behind the plexiglas shield I am considering looking for another place to shop. To make my credit card purchase I had step forward to reach the credit card terminal, when I did the teller raised her voice and told me 'Sir, I will bag your groceries, if you step back behind the shield.' We spend about $200 per week in this store, and expect to be treated better. read more

The only time we encounter Publix is during our annual Florida trip. This is definitely one the nicest Publix locations we have visited. Often times we shop on Saturday night as soon as we get into town. We are used to the store being picked over. This was not the case at this Publix. I love this place. The produce is always fresh. The staff is always friendly. They always have the best sales. I didn't know you weren't supposed to tip th baggers and one young man told me he was going to help me and I was like whatever. And I asked if they accepted tips and he laughed and said "I do" and next time I went I asked the young lady if they are supposed to take tips and she said we aren't allowed to. Clean place and has a wide variety of foods that in accustomed to. Coming from Texas I had a lot of options to choose from that carries a wide variety of quality cheeses, milk, freshly squeezed juices, fresh sushi etc. I was a little worried moving here that I wouldn't find a store that's comparable to Kroger or HEB but I was wrong.
