Always clean, even the bathroom. The deli I absolutely love their made to order sandwiches. This last time I was chatting with one of the deli employees and she was so sweet! I think half the store is BOGO free! Look for the sales they are all over the store. This place is wonderful. I enjoy the recipe cards in produce along with the heirloom tomatoes. The selections are numerous. I think this summer I have spent more time in Publix than we have at the beach. That makes the discounts even more important. The local items are also appreciated. I have followed Bones Coffee on Instagram for years and surprise of surprises they had some coffee Roasted by Bones Coffee. Really enjoyed that. Also, they still sell postcards for the incredibly low price of $0.20. Yet one of the best features is the staff. I have never been disappointed. There are always numerous check out clerks and folks to help with bagging. In a world of automation, the human touch is nice. I highly recommend Publix at Daytona Beach Shores. read more

This Publix has the BEST customer service. We were greeted with smiles, laughs, compliments and offered help by anyone we passed. I was in there with 3 kids on a beach trip and we were treated so sweetly, the kids even got crayons and a coloring sheet at the check out! They have plenty of beach supplies and lots of yummy food (as Publix always does). Clean, organized and a great stop to stock up on beach snacks, supplies or groceries!! read more

Me and my wife decided to do a few instacart orders since it was raining and we couldn't swim at the beach which actually makes it great for orders because alot of people don't want to do orders in the rain so we get most of the orders the store is set up pretty good easy to find the items and having the app tell you what isle things are in is a big help also and even though we were doing orders I grabbed a fee things for my self from produce I got a few plums because they looked really good and I had to have one this store is pretty good for things you need all in one place and the food is pretty good here fresh produce and everything else also read more

Great selection of groceries including fresh produce and meat, as well as canned/boxed goods, household items, beer, wine, and liquor. Whenever I travel I like to go into grocery stores because they often have items we don't have at home or different variations of items. Being from California, I was stoked to find several items/brands we don't have where I live. The cashier was incredibly friendly (older gentleman, can't recall his name), and talked to us about the area while he checked out our groceries. Store was clean, well organized, and fully stocked. There were several associates throughout the store, so if we'd needed help with anything it would have been easy to find someone. read more

I was delightfully surprised with this particular Publix Super Market. Of course that might have to do with the fact that I have rather low expectations of anything located in Daytona Beach. After all, one can hardly doubt that Daytona Beach with its failed Convention Center, Ocean Walks, and central Parking Ramp is on anything but a downward skid. Be that as it may, this Publix appeared sparking clean as if new on the interior. It has a great bakery loaded with far more than most. The aisles were wide and clear and, at least when I was there, not blocked off with stocking. It has a great meat and seafood selection and the produce all looked fresh. Then, upon checkout, my clerk seemed especially pleasant, friendly and polite. read more

This is your average Florida Publix Market, they have everything you could need. During out 5 day stay in Daytona we stopped here a few times. We got some beer, easy things to make for breakfast and lunch, and of course the always needed diapers. Decent store, with decent prices! read more

Review #854. We were celebrating our grandson's birthday on the beach this day. We realized that we needed a birthday cake. Since Publix makes one of the best birthday cakes around, we figured we would stop here and pick one up. My wife went to the bakery, while I went to the liquor store. I joined my wife, in the store,a few minutes later. We found the birthday cake that we liked, and as always the ladies behind the counter were very happy to write my grandson's name on the cake. We picked up a few other things, and went on our way. As always this Publix was very clean, always meets your expectations, and all the employees we encountered were absolutely wonderful. Been a regular customer of this location for the past 15 years to grab a deli sub or lunch on my way surfing on the beach w my friends! This store Deli location has a great turnover for London Broil making it very fresh when I order it for either a sub or sliced deli order. Sadly I had a clerk who WOULDN'T RECOGNIZE me when I arrived right in front of her, no other customers, made me wait for a while reloading sub station bins w/o saying a word. When she finished this task, her attitude was that I was somehow INTERRUPTING her day! WOW! The final sub was NOT really what I was requesting, but she DIDN'T LISTEN OR CARE! Her REALLY POOR attitude towards customers helped to create my experience in the moment as LESS THAN A PLEASURE! I left my Publix deli experience for the $8 hot sub that was disappointing for this location due to staff issues. I'm hoping she will get her PRINCESS Unicorn Pony soon and no longer have to work! Bless her heart!! OMG. I don't feel I can trust or recommend this location anymore for my TAKE OUT needs and am seeking from the other NUMEROUS options I have for takeout in the A1A/UNDER Bridge dining areas at the SAME (or daily Specials) price points! I'm glad that this experience reminded me that there's now a LOT of options and I DON'T have to settle for BAD SERVICE or PRODUCT any more! read more

I'm really confused by the low reviews! The first thing I said to my boyfriend after visiting this Publix was: "Holy crap, the people there were so freaking nice." Seriously, SO nice and attentive. I had multiples associates come up to me and ask me if I needed anything. Smiling faces all around waiting for customers in case they needed help. And staff willing to go back to see if they had run out of a specific item. Maybe I just went on a good day? Not sure, but I totally loved my experience here. read more

I wish I loved this place, but the produce continues to disappoint! It's often close to expired or even already expired. The cheese snacks are like this too. I posted a pic of a package that had been expired for 3 weeks and was still on the shelf! This shouldn't be anywhere, but especially at a place like Publix. Publix is thought of as a fancy (and expensive) grocery store-- starting acting like it at this location! Grr. read more

Hands down I don't think I have ever been to a nicer grocery store. * Plenty of parking. * Normally always someone at customer service who will cheerfully greet you when you enter. * The store still looks immaculately clean on the inside. * Had everything I was looking for the four times I came in during different stays. * I got big time help from the two women in the bakery area when I needed last minute assistance with a birthday cake. * They go out of their way to bag everything for you without issue. * Compared to where I live in PA it's still a thrill to be able to get liquor in a regular aisle mixed in with other things versus at home where there's either nothing or it's cordoned off in it's own area to help protect you from yourself. Hands down I don't think I have ever been to a more expensive grocery store. While I have never been to a Whole Foods (and I never will) to experience their wallet shattering prices coming here is to a degree what I imagine it to be like. In my neck of the woods Giant is the most prominent grocery store and while they certainly are not great they're prices for a lot of things blow this Publix away. Cheaper Suave Shampoo & Conditioner, cheaper drinks and some cheaper snacks at Giant versus here and that's just for starters. PA has got some high ass liquor prices but what I was looking for is two bucks cheaper at home. Amazing (and not in a good way)! Publix on their website does a very disingenuous comparison by running some of their prices up against Walmart. Nice idea except that Walmart was exposed years ago as being non-competitive in a lot of areas versus traditional grocery stores. Sheeple come with the illusion that they're getting some great deal except when you actually comparison shop you realize that you're getting hosed. In PA Wegmans will run comparison prices against Giant or the other way around. At least that's apples to apples. With that rant out of the way, overall the store is very nice and the people who work there all seemed great but in terms of sheer pricing it's kind of a ripoff. While I get that it's "nice" that there's no discount dork cards in play here, I guess some people just like to waste money or they live in a higher tax bracket then I do where paying 15-20% more is OK. Sorry but no dice here on being five stars simply because of pricing. Pity because everything else is near perfect. read more

I love Publix in Daytona Beach SHORES ... but the deli and sub area needs help. It seems like last few times they can't keep up... staff making subs are in slow motion. People were walking away today it was over 30 min wait and not busy. Maybe new people ... maybe can't hire people now but when customers can't get what they are there for it is not good. read more

I must start by saying. The cashiers and managers are helpful and nice. BUT, you seem to cater to the tourists. I have three times gone into the meat section and all three times found pork/chicken and beef which shouldn't be sold. Color turned, past dates. As well as in the cheese and yogurt area. Check out was fast but after waiting over 5 minutes without even being so much as acknowledged, I gave up and bought the pre-packaged crap instead. I LOVE Publix. No seriously, I love this store. All of the employees are super friendly, nice, and helpful. I have never once had a bad trip to this store. Every single time they have great customer service and this is something I really wish the grocery stores in St. Louis would figure out. Good customer service = happy customers! Duh! Not that hard, other grocery places! When you ask a guy restocking a shelf where the X can be found, he will literally STOP what he is doing and go and take you to that aisle where you can find X and show you all of the different varieties of it. They have ready-made foods for to go, sushi which is ready to eat, and also a section of fried chicken and such. The deli is excellent. Boar's Head meats and super nice deli folks who always ask you if you want to sample different meats and cheeses. They have great seafood too. It usually looks pretty fresh and I go nuts when they have the lobster tail specials....$3.99 or $4.99 ish for a lobster tail (smaller ones)...such a good deal. Their shrimp and salmon is tasty too. They have all of my favorite cereals and produce and great cuts of meat. Once my mom called down and asked for rack of lamb for Xmas dinner and they reserved it for us and cut it exactly the way we asked. The butcher always provides extra twine for us too if we need it which is cool. As a bonus they will usually ask if you need help with taking your groceries to your car which is really nice for senior citizens who live down here. I have been going to this Publix for 10+ years. It's the best one of the Volusia/ Daytona area because it's got the easiest parking lot, plenty of spaces, and rarely gets crowded in the store. If you're new to Publix - ENJOY! And here's why you'll love it: 1) Get a Publix sub, they are the epitome of perfect (I could stop my list here, but I'll keep going...) 2) No loyalty program which means they don't have your information, no email blasts, no mailings, and no need to keep ANOTHER card on your keychain 3) Friendliest employees ever! 4) Lots of BOGOS (buy one get one!) - and on good things that you normally buy. 5) Their store brand items are all delicious, better than most name brand 6) Baggers will carry your groceries to your car - no tips allowed! 7) Free cookies for your little ones while you shop 8) Stores are spottless! 9) They produce the cutest holiday commercials, ever. I went here to find food for my carry out supper. I found a coconut pie, bbq pulled pork, bbq beans. They have 16-oz soup or chili BOGO for $4.99, so I bought two chili for tomorrow. Also found really nice prepared salads for $4.99 BOGO and larger $7.99, that include lettuce, cheese, shredded boiled eggs, bacon bits, and such. The last item I noticed was two slices of quiche that looked delicious. Publix is a great place to buy meals during these coronavirus days. read more

This is the nicest, most professional, beautiful grocery store! I am not easy to please, but those that made negative reviews here are just not happy people. I've been visiting the "Shores" and travel U.S. extensively. And this store is #1. I even had to go to a different one in the area once, and they did not even say thank you. We will always shop Publix. The prices are more than we can afford, but it is clean, safe, and friendly environment. Those that complain about snowbirds, should thank us for bringing commerce and making Daytona a nicer place. You are welcome! I never was much of a fan of Publix prior to moving here to Daytona Beach Shores. Now, I pretty much shop here exclusively. Great variety, friendly employees. Only downfall is all the snowbirds you encounter during their winter visits, but that's not the stores fault. read more

I really love the convenience of this location and by and far Publix is the best grocery chain in pur immediate area. The reason for the poor score is primarily due to the deli situation. Why can't you place a deli order and walk the store or via text or phone? It literally takes twice as long for me to go here when I have to use the deli. I have gone to many other stores, Albertsons is one example, where you use a kiosk to make your deli order and while you shop they prepare it and you come back to pick ut up, why not here? Also, much of their dairy, organic milk particularly, is close to expiration when it's being sold, like 2-3 days out. This is constantly an issue. Hate to complain and judging by the other comments on Yelp for this store the management doesn't read Yelp or care to reply? Really could see some improvements here. read more

This is my regular Publix fast clean friendly helpful etc everything the commercial advertisement says lol but I never had anything to compare it to until today. I needed to fill a prescription but MY Publix didn't have the full amount my beautiful pharmacist referred me to a near by store and off I went. Blah! No one greeted me or was remotely friendly at this location on Nova road. Even the pharmacy was difficult but I got it sorted out. I won't be coming to this "OTHER" location again! I love my beach side Publix they are absolutely amazing and clearly no other store can compare! read more

This Publix is actually further away from our hotel than another supermarket but the shopping at Publix really is always a pleasure. The associates are always willing to help and you can't be the BOGO deals. Also, they always have the exact brands you are looking for...I am sorry we moved and they do not have Publix in our new state, as it is my fave grocery store, hands down! read more

How i wish we had more grocery choices in the shores. As you can see i am not a fan of publix. I especially dislike this one but i suspect they are all the same. let me start by saying it is not their employees. it is their policies which come from corporate and/or store manager. Here's my beef. (you can stop reading now if you really don't care what i have to say.) 1. On several occasions they stopped carrying a product that we had been buying for years. when we asked about getting it back they said it would have to be a special order and bought in bulk. 2. This BOGO policy is ridiculous. look at the demographics. Old people and snowbirds. Do we really need to stock up on things. 3. the bakery (allegedly) makes the same things over and over again. Twice i tried something and threw it out because it wasn't worth eating. Basically tasteless. if you want to call yourself a bakery then mix it up a little bit. Always the same old borrowing stuff. 4. in store Advertising is probably the worst offense. if you put a price in large letters and say 20% off, then you think 20 off that price. But no you have to spend 5 minutes ready the fine print to discover that is the sale price. And how about when only certain varieties of the same product are on sale. Again spend five minutes making sure you have the right one. Why can't they have clear and simple pricing. Sale items should not be intermingled with regular items of the same product. My challenge in 2019 is to get the shores council to bring in another grocery chain. Lucky's market, Whole Foods, walmart neighborhood, Fresh Market, Anything besides publix. read more

When I lived in Ponce Inlet I used to shop here and boy did I regret it. Talk about rude customer service and cashiers. When you check out the cashiers don't even aknowledge you and this store might as well hire robots since thats what they seem like. Im in my late 20's and whenever I would go to the customer service desk to buy a freakin lottery ticket, they would rudely say "let me see your id". REALLY FOR A LOTTO TICKET? Hey publix invest in vision insurance for your employees so they know who looks under 18 and who doesn't. read more
