My favorite of the local Publixes, it's spacious without being silly, and even when it's busy you don't feel compressed. Good quality grocery, produce is always the best from here. Frequent BOGO sales help offset the slightly higher costs of other grocery places. read more

The store was well stocked, unlike other Publix stores in our area. The quality of your meats however has gone down so far, I can no longer shop for any meats, no matter how expensive it is! Filet mignon was inedible, tough and no flavor. Had to throw it out! Staff was very helpful and efficient. read more

Bought snow crabs...horrible...old...returning to store. Third time I've bought seafood...lousy I know Seafood is expensive and I think every store that carries seafood loses $$$ as it has a short shelf life, but paying what you pay for it it should be good read more

Publix is a great store. It is clean bright and the employees are very helpful. The butchers always go out of their way to help me with what ever I need. The one star I took off is because their prices are $1 to $3 higher than all the other markets for the same stuff. read more

I quickly needed to buy some cold brew coffee before I hit the road. This isn't my local Publix so I asked an employee where to find their cold coffees and he had absolutely no idea where to find them. Lol oh boy! Why is it this store never seems to have enough items for a sale!! It just annoys me!!

The quality of produce is awful. Lettuce, herbs etc are often wilted, strawberries last a day for two before being covered in mold if you are lucky, unlike the fresher berries from Winn Dixie which last many days. The bakery products have seriously declined. Pies now have VERY THICK crusts. I would rather pay more and have a really good pie. The customer service at the deli counter at this Publix remains the worst I have ever encountered. There are numerous employees working in the back, all ignoring the people waiting at the counter. It used to be customers come first. Not at this store. The back busy work comes first at this store and usually only one person works the deli meat counter. If there are more, they are usually helping slice the meat for sub area. If you sell this many subs, people need to arrive an hour before the store opens to slice the necessary meat. read more

This place was clean and check out was fast. I loved the variety of produce as well as the prepared produce section. They had halved butternut and acorn squash prepared in a microwavable bag which was super handy b/c both of these are my favorite and as a traveler this was a nice change from typical sweet potato or other pre-packaged items. I usually have very positive shopping experiences here. But today, the deli had numerous people working and sadly more interested in talking to each other, than waiting on the several people at their counter . One person was mopping , another maybe preparing online orders , another just interesting in talking, and not one person helping the ppl in line (for several minutes). I finally put my number in the trash and walked away. There needs to be a better system at your deli . The one in citrus hills has some of the same issues. It's frustrating as a loyal customer. But you are the only store I will ever shop at for numerous other positive reasons . read more

Yep. I am about to review a grocery store...and I usually wouldn't spend the time doing so.....But this was a great store. I have to say I love Florida first and foremost. The weather is awesome....The highways and city streets for the most part (in this area) are always non-congested. The people are just incredibly friendly... And Publix has the freshest produce I have ever seen...except strait from the field. The entire store was spotless...almost creepy spotless? And every employee I saw...or saw me... made it a point to ask me, with a smile, if I was finding everything ok. I almost felt like I was in some ninth dimension where people are innately kind and considerate (and well groomed). I would say I wish they had Publix stores in our area...but I think the LA hustle and bustle way of life would make it like any other run of the mill store we already have. read more

Good store with many options and a decent selection of organics, I'd of given 5 stars if there were even more organics. All the same I am a fan and enjoy shopping here. I would certainly recommend Publix to anyone looking for a good super market. read more

This is the worst Publix I ever been to ordered online way ahead of time and still waited and extra 10 minutes cause my food was not ready and it was over cooked and no care at all into making the sandwich for sure will not be back to this Publix ever read more

Love to shop at publix although they are higher priced the customer service was very good. I did experience a problem when asked if an ice water was a soda in my cart. I said it was water and cashier said nothing. I then took the lid off and showed him it was indeed water. Then just two minutes after this when it was time to pay the bagger lady also asked me if I had a soda to pay for. I was NOT HAPPY!!!! It was not her job to ask me again if I had paid for a water in my cart. This is not good customer relations!! If you don't believe your customers then buy CLEAR cups so you can see what needs to be paid for instead of harassing your customers and then telling them it's your job!!! Please go back to doing what you do best, being nice to your customers!! read more

This grocery store is always clean and the staff is always helpful and very friendly. They even have employees who will assist you by taking your groceries out to your vehicle. By far, I would much rather pay a few more dollars to shop at this store than any other grocery store in the area. read more

I shop at Publix in Ocala all the time at different locations and are treated like family. I sometimes go in knowing Ill pay more but enjoy the nice atmosphere everybody smiling and offering help. Love it. However my husband had a horrible experience in the Crystal Rivers location. He hurt himself getting out of the car we think he had a stroke and was bleeding. It was 98'F that day and all he wanted to go just a few steps in the air-conditioned store and sit down as he felt very light headed. Employees came running not to assist him or call an ambulance not even a bottle of water, noooo to shooo him out of the store, and he was only as far as the carts are. They were not having anymore blood to clean up, one said: "you have made enough of a mess". Can anyone even believe that.? He then went to the car and drove himself home. He was extremely lightheaded and could have killed himself as well as someone else, An Ambulance was in order. Not sure what we will do about that yet but I do not want another person especially an 89 year old to be treated like that again. Shame on them. How would you feel if your dad or grandfather was treated like that ???? The People at Publix in Ocala were stunned upon hearing that. read more
