This publix is nice and clean, also efficient. I always order the subs on line which are very delicious and reasonably priced. Order on line instead of going to the store because it can take a while even though they tried to go fast as they can. Sometimes, the person ahead of you who's ordering has no clue what they want on his/her/their subs. Overall, good place for subs. read more

Publix Store Super Market at Price Creek Village Center (11920 SC-707 Ste A, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576 is admittedly and blatantly committing consumer fraud. I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding my recent experience at Publix Store Super Market at Price Creek Village Center (11920 SC-707 Ste A, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576), on February 21, 2025. As a resident of Prince Creek and a long-time customer who has spent over $26,578 at Publix in 2024 alone, I am appalled by the poor customer service, lack of accountability, and unacceptable behavior I encountered during my visit. At approximately 5:40 PM, I went to self-checkout to purchase groceries, including a bottle of wine ("Honest Thief"). Before I even began scanning my items, an employee named Terri, whom I understand is hearing impaired, invaded my personal space and asked if I needed help. I politely declined. Upon returning home, I realized I had left a bag behind at self-checkout, which included the bottle of wine. I returned to the store at 6:05 PM and went to customer service with my receipt. Without even checking, the employees claimed no bag had been left. They called down to self-checkout, where an on-duty clerk--who was rarely at the station--also said no bag had been found. When I asked for CCTV footage, I was told it was a "lengthy process." - I purchased another bottle and left. After confirming at home that I had indeed left the original bag behind, I returned to the store a third time at 6:25 PM and requested to see the CCTV footage. I was denied access and told the employees would review it instead. Less than five minutes later, they told me to grab another bottle, which I did. When I asked what had happened, they refused to provide an explanation. The following morning, I spoke with a manager (Tim/Ted/Tod) who claimed he was the one who authorized the replacement bottle, and that Publix has a strict policy against theft. However, he also admitted that if a customer leaves a bag behind, they immediately restock the items and resell them. This practice is completely unacceptable--restocking and reselling paid-for goods is, in essence, theft from your customers. Furthermore, the unprofessionalism I experienced, particularly with employee Terri, who has been problematic for years, was inexcusable. While I respect individuals with impairments, hearing loss does not justify poor customer service, disregard for personal space, or the mishandling of a customer's paid items. The dismissive and unhelpful attitude from the store's management only worsened the situation. Given that Publix prides itself on exceptional customer service, this experience has been shocking and disappointing. I expect a formal response regarding this incident, including how Publix will address the issue of restocking paid items and the handling of customer complaints. If this matter is not properly addressed, I will escalate it further. read more

Chicken Tender Sub and people. That is all that needs to be said. The chicken tender subs at Publix are legendary. So full of freshly cut tenders and whatever toppings you want. It is such a good, quick snack that you can wrap and take with you to beach or boat or wherever. The people here are also normally super nice and helpful. Overall, we do not do a ton of grocery shopping here, as I do find it to be a little more pricey than Kroger or Walmart, but when we need lunch or something quick we will always stop here and are never disappointed. read more

This Publix located off of Hwy 707 in Murrells Inlet is great. The staff is very helpful and courteous. Store is well organized and has a Publix Pharmacy. This is definitely the cleanest Publix Store I have ever shopped. Awesome 4 Stars! read more

I always enjoy going to Publix in Murrells inlet S.C. It always well stock snd has product you can't find in other grocery stores Today I went to order rotisserie chickens for this afternoon because I bring meals over to persons homes so I want the chicken to be hot and fresh There was a gentleman that came out of the back where the chickens are prepared before put in the oven I went to ask him a questions snd he said he didn't work there in that department I know from a fact he does work there because I have seen him there before He just brushed me off I could understand his reluctantance to get help from me because they are so short staffed in the Deli department especially during lunch So sorry that Publix is so short staffed it's a great store Hope things get better read more

The Publix on 707 should close down there sandwich deli department. This is the second time, after being online for half an hour I had to walk out without a sandwich. The people behind the counter are working,to fill all the call in orders and are completely ignoring all the people standing in line. Their priority is to the call in orders. I would suggest if you want a sandwich from Publix, you call it in or forget about it, unless you have 2 hours for lunch. This is not the same Publix that opened at this location a few years ago. Their Deli department is out of control and the manager doesn't seem to do anything about it. read more

There is room for a lot of improvement. The self-service kiosks do not accept cash. There are not enough employees during key parts of the day. There is no incentive to bring your own bags...the grocery store across the street gives a discount if you bring in your own bags. These are management issues. The employees are great. read more

Publix is a truly great supermarket from their Boars Head lunch meats. Considering the large selection of BOGO items they are a very good deal. The hoagies are the best. So glad to see Publix is in Murrells Inlet SC read more

Very nice clean store but just as the Publix in Carolina Forest is their is something seriously brewing in the meat department. Arrogant manager and assistant. Went here yesterday and wanted meat from the case and the associate working behind the case acted like he couldn't be bothered. Told me theirs more choices in the trays on the left. Strange because they had about 10 beautiful ribeyes for a lot more money in the case. After taking the high road and looking at the trays of meat I had to go back to the case and kill the guy with kindness to go with my gut on what I wanted in the first place. The guy throws the steak on the counter instead of handing it to me with no thank you, have a nice day or any basic customer service skills. Will be shopping at Lowe's from here on. They are true professionals. read more

Publix has to be one of the top supermarkets that I've been to. I love how they provide fresh Boars Head coldcuts, sandwiches and deli, fruits, veggies, meat, dairy, bakery and all the necessities that supermarkets carry. The employees are polite and cannot do enough for you. I find their meat and produce to be very fresh. Samples of fresh cut fruits are provided upon request. If you seek an item they do not carry, just ask and they will get it for you. This is a large market and I've had to use their electric wheel cart, which is always fully charged (I know they are new). The electric wheel carts are well maintained in the other Publix markets I've ever been to, as well as their regular shopping carts. I have not had any problems with the way my bags were packed, no foods were damaged. Last time I was there I brought my own shopping bags (purchased elsewhere), some were used and the rest were not returned to me. I didn't realize this until after I was home and not up to going back. Aside from that issue, I have been assisted to my car and it was packed by staff, who accepts thanks, but do not accept tips. Then I've been given a coupon, nice! I love Publix and always had. You can't imagine how delighted I was to find they were opening locally. I find it bothersome that they have chosen a site right across from another small chain grocery store, and wonder why they did that. That, along with my confiscated shopping bags which I paid $15/each elsewhere, is why I have removed one star. It kind of tainted my experiences I've had with Publix in the past, however the quality of food and service is the best you can ask for. read more

Meat Dept again! Bought $20/lb filets for the holiday. After fixing them, they were center-cut sirloin's at best, a long cry from filets. We will buy our meat elsewhere from now on, no need to go to Publix for anything else either. read more

Nice grocery store, but they use Instacart for delivery. Be very leery as if they mess up you get an Instacart credit not a cash credit. The only way to get in contact is via email which they don't answer. You can only request credit for one item even if they mess up more than one item so you are out of luck. read more

Mike in deli is amazing . He is hard worker. Slices deli meats like no other. He is extremely fast & slices meats and packs cheeses perfectly. Mike is definitely a keeper. He works circles around everyone. read more

Publix has a lot of positive aspects about this store but they are somewhat indifferent when it comes to stocking up on the wine selections that are on sale in their weekly circular. On average they do not have the wines that are listed on sale 3 out of 4 weeks every month. Having spoken to them about this matter in person, it appears that the complaint/concern fell on deaf ears or the management does not care. They always have some excuse each week blaming either their wine vendor, they didn't receive the order or it's coming in next week. If you check with the Pawleys Island Publix, it is just the opposite of this store. There weekly wine specials are usually stacked as you enter the store of at the end of the aisle. Always a positive experience there if your looking for their wines on sale. They get it and understand their customers. The Murrells Inlet Publix just doesn't get it and probably never will. I am sure many of others in the Murrells Inlet area have had similar experiences at this store. read more

Everyone is always so courteous and helpful. On using their delivery service, when mistakes are made, they're always quick to rectify the situation. Yes, a bit more expensive, but I think you get what you pay for. read more

The staff is always so friendly and helpful here! During Hurricane Florence in 2018, they were able to open on that Saturday, and we were able to get out of the house and buy their awesome sub sandwiches! And now during the COVID-19 pandemic, they have been very attentive to customers, wiping down carts before any of the other businesses were doing it. A huge thank you! read more
