I really do enjoy shopping at Publix. I love the deli and cheese cases and the produce here very much. They also tend to have more of the specialty products that so seem to be looking for. For the most part, Publix is a good place to shop. What I like about their stores: Pros: *Clean *Shelves are always stocked *Great variety What I don't like are below. Cons: *Cost is higher than other groceries *Sandwich making takes longer than a Jersey Mikes. They slices their meats to order as well. *Produce quality is inconsistent This location (Franklin Road) is good. As of this writing, I marked off a star because of my experience at the sandwich making area. It took them between 15-20 minutes to make two sandwiches! It took much longer because the lady had to slice the meats to order. Another time at the deli area, I ordered a chicken tender dinner. The food temperature was warm at best. The tenders were definitely under the heat lamp way too long. It was near the end-of-life, and it was dry. Let's just say I paid way too much money only to throw the food way. As for the produce, many times the produce isn't always fresh. It seems like the price is too high, and never gets bought. The produce then stays on the shelf much longer than desired. The quality isn't consistent across all the board. This location is much different than the Brentwood/Franklin area. Their deli and produce area is much better! The only time I have to wait (in the deli) is because they are busy, but when I get served, the total amount is less than 10 minutes. This is WAY better than the 15-20 minutes I had to wait. For some reason the long wait time is getting consistent. :( read more

This is my go-to store. They always have what I need. The food is fresh and the service is amazing. Interaction with the managers have been awesome. They put the customer first. The store is always clean and well stocked. I think it's the best grocery store in Murfreesboro. read more

Several of you who are well meaning have informed me that Publix makes Cuban sandwiches. Yes, I am aware of their availability in the grab-and-go deli section; however, in my search for the perfect Cuban sandwich, this should never be an option for those looking for a quick and convenient fix. I will, however, give my review of said, "Cuban sandwich" for entertainment purposes only. For starters, the sandwich shouldn't be called a "Cuban." It's more like a sub with swiss cheese and a combination of ham & pork slices. The bread is toasted (not pressed) and is somewhat crispy but quite thick. The "pork" is listed as "Spanish-styled roasted pork" and comes in slices like the ham. Did I mention this sandwich is served cold as it comes out of a refrigerated deli section? About the only thing they got right was the pickles. Yes, I said, "the pickles." Does the sandwich taste bad? No. Is it palatable? Certainly, but it's nowhere near authentic. I'm of the mindset that if you're going to call it a "Cuban sandwich," then it should be the real deal not some watered down off-shoot just to make a buck. Do yourself a favor; stay far away from this and opt instead for a Boar's Head Salsalito turkey sandwich. read more

The Bakery here is Amazing! I procrastinated on my daughters 11th birthday cake trying to find the perfect cake (I'm usually such a planner) The day before her party someone told me that Publix will make cakes off of any picture that you have. I called and spoke with Lindsey who was so sweet and knew exactly what I wanted over the phone. She really went above and beyond! When I picked the cake up, I was amazed it was perfect and soooo cute! The cake was super moist and the icing wasn't overly sweet! My daughter was so excited over this cake! My family visits Publix frequently and have almost perfect experiences every time. But one thing that took me aback recently was that one of the persons working in the bakery was not wearing a mask. Super clean. Well organized. I'm amazed at how much Publix has that I wish they had these in California. I could have spent hours there. The ice cream aisle blew me away. My first time seeing Blue Bell ice cream and took some home and was so envious of all the lucky people who get to eat it! Had to find some produce And the employees are super polite! I was shocked, in LA it's like your bugging them when asking for help but here? It was so nice. People actually looked happy and content being there. They actually laugh and smile which is nice. I'm very impressed with this Publix and highly recommend this location. read more

We shop here all the time. Today is the rudest I have ever seen their staff. It was busier than usual but it is a grocery store.

I love Publix. It's all about the quality of their meats and fruits. I was disappointed when I walked in and there was old fruit on sale. Pineapples were brown n white color. The seafood were dry like it was sitting there since last week. Overall there quality of food were way below standards. Worst one ever. I rather drive all the way across town by the VA to a Publix. There is an awesome Super Kroger right down the street next to Kohls and their meat and produce were excellent... Fresh all the way around. I will be going to the publix that's off St. Andrews. I LOVED this store and spent hundreds there weekly until they price gauged my mom for toilet paper during the pandemic! $14.95 for a SIX pack of toilet paper! They should be ashamed and even more so that they won't let her return it after she realized how much it was. read more

Their motto pretty sums it up: "Where shopping is a pleasure!" They are a bit more pricey on some stuff they also have great buy one get one free offers every week. Aside from that we never have to wait in line to check out and the service we receive has always been excellent! read more

I love Publix! I can always find whatever I need. Staff is friendly, helpful, and enthusiastic. If I have a question, staff goes the extra mile to offer full explanations. I feel more like a guest than a customer. Food samples are extraordinary, and I enjoy the free recipes found around the store as well as in each sale circular. At this Publix there is no section set aside for vegetarian/organic/natural options. The options they do have are sparse and scattered throughout the rest of this store. Meat-alternatives were (literally) impossible to find in the frozen section. Have to drive to another grocer to finish my list. Produce is great but seriously disappointed at lack of organization or options for those of us who wish to consume fewer toxic chemicals. read more

I love Publix and this location falls short of their values and goals as a business. The cake department was rude over the phone today. I asked to change an order with plenty of notice on an order that requires 24 hours notice and they were very put out. I asked to substitute an icing and was informed no and that it would be buttercream. When I went in earlier in the week they said it's cream cheese icing and on their website it's cream cheese in the description. I canceled my order because I don't care for cream cheese and since this was a very important event I didn't want to risk their error with cream cheese icing since they clearly don't know their own recipes. When I called to cancel the man, possibly named Max, was very rude. I said thank you and he slammed down the phone after I clearly put him out again. On another visit; I purchased pre-cut cantaloupe. When I opened it at home there was a bug under the plastic wrap. I now drive over to the memorial location because they are absolutely fantastic, high standards, and excellence in cleanliness. They happily are making my cake with my icing of choice for our happy day. read more
