Myself and another woman waited 12 minutes until someone walked over and said the girl working in the deli was on break and would be back soon. Six minutes later after the other woman went to customer service and complained, someone came. 23 minutes to get Service. There are only two registers that an actual person can work at since they removed every other register and replaced them with self check outs. Only three of the 15 self checkouts were being used. Since I don't work at Walmart, I had to wait in line (since apparently no one wanted to use the self check outs) another 20 minutes to check out. If the tiny child didn't want Stromboli for lunch I would have walked out. So if you have plenty of time to waste, you won't mind shopping here, but I will never be back.

The best in Brevard, bar none. Have shopped there since 1996, and have tried the newer Publix stores, but they lack the hometown atmosphere. The staff are like old friends, the store is always clean, and the selection is varied, The pharmacy, the bakery, the deli, and the floral shop are tip-top. You can have your Wal-mart big boxes. Anyway, I went to the salad bar and it was completely empty, I literally thought it was closed so I asked a worker breaking down boxes "what are the salad bar hours?" and she replied, "there should be salad and wings there now but we are very understaffed" and she went back to what she was doing. So, I asked 2 young Publix workers (2 kids - girl long straight hair and a taller kid with black hair) standing in front of the deli counter if they could alert someone that the salad/wing bar was empty that I would do some shopping I planned on doing and returning for to the salad/wings bar they replied that they were going to go on break so they would do it when they returned. I've work at Publix before and I would been written up if I said I was "on break" without finding them help. So, I was just over it and as I was leaving... the manager was STILL just standing there. He had ZERO clue that his entire deli department was struggling. I told him what happened and why we were leaving and he said he would ask someone to help me... ummm aren't you the manager? I left with nothing and went to Walmart, YUP, Walmart has better service than this Publix - shocking.

The gentleman behind the meat counter (that was today, Friday, September 26 at about 12:30 PM) he was absolutely the best. He gave me a pound and a half breaking up a bag and taking out all the loose little bits so I didn't wind up with just shells. That was ao kind! It's clean, everyone is very friendly, it can get busy but they take it all in stride. If I could afford to do all my grocery shopping here, I would. It's always pleasant to walk into, it smells nice, the entrance is a little funky but that's just the design. People don't put their baskets up so it can block the entrance. That's not the store's fault and they do mind them often so it's not a permanent problem. I've had only one bad experience and it was in the bakery a few years ago. Everybody else has been so accommodating! I've been to their other stores in and around South Florida. They're all nice and clean but honestly, this is my favorite store hands-down.
