I don't know what's going on at this Publix but I suspect it's poor management. This is my closest location but I'll typically hit the Beachside location unless it's super inconvenient. I feel extremely depressed entering this store. The employees seem exceptionally depressed, even more so than what's typical in this current environment. I don't need a full conversation from anyone but maybe a quiet "Hello" from customer service? They are also criminally under stocked REPEATEDLY with the same stuff, week after week. I suspect that since this Publix is in a more economically challenged area, that corporate gives zero Fs about the surrounding residents because it's a completely different story beachside. I feel for the staff here; I think they know their location is the red headed step child. read more

Different setup than what I'm used to. Publix is my go-to for their bogo items. I love their subs/wraps & prepackaged cold deli items. My sons like their tea. I'm not sure if this location has a salad bar. read more

There is a parking lot and it is located in a shopping plaza. This is a small Publix and there is a fair amount of lunch traffic during the week. Their hot foods in the deli section aren't as varied as other Publix stores. The employees at the check out are nice and I've been able to find employees in the store when I've needed help. Grocery pick up in the front and there is a pharmacy just as you walk in to the left. I can usually get in and out pretty quickly. read more

I was so stressed with so much happening in my life. My brother told me it was time for "the cleanse". Joy took me and I grinned! Being new to Florida I had no idea what was in store for me as he directed me to the local Publix deli. "Chicken tender wrap." He told me. "Double Chipotle mayo, Gouda cheese, ranch, lettuce....That's all you need and you will flush all the stress out. Go footlong if you are very stressed." I thank god I didn't attempt the foot long this first round. It'll take some building up to. I was not even halfway through my Publix chicken tender sub and my belly was in full revolt. Just turmoil. I loved it. "WHY ME GOD!" I screamed....but I'm still eating. It's so delicious, but I'm attempting not to explode upon myself. There is a foot-long version??? Only a true maniac would attempt this. The kids wanted Publix subs, so Publix subs it was... Great experience from Ryan at the Publix deli. Ordered three subs - a Publix ham, a Publix ultimate, and a Publix chicken tender. All sandwiches were made to order with my ten year-old daughter supervising the preparation. Extra sandwich ingredients were happily provided in a separate bag. Fruit, drinks, and desert items were also purchased. I'm a big fan of "BOGO" free items and we escaped, spending only $42.22. This Publix is an older style store - something seldom seen these days. With that said, it was well stocked and clean. Staff were polite and made sure I took a "clean" wagon at the start of my shopping trip. Cashier Amanda was equally polite. William E. I love to visit Publix when in GA or FL (the South for me). So I visited this Publix for my grocery needs when I was in Melbourne, FL it wasn't too far of a drive from the airport. The store was clean and had all the items I was looking for and more. The staff were very friendly. The cashier was a nice retiree that was so kind was exchanged conversation about Krogers and her getting to interact with the customers. They had a nice selection of made up salads ( I tried the surf n turf salad and got a grilled salmon salad to tote to work with me). I recommend shopping at this Publix if in the area. read more

Worst publix I've ever shopped at. I have repeatedly gotten bad food here! I shop there because it's on my way but I will now drive out of my way to go to the Neighborhood Walmart because this store is terrible. Twice I've bought noodles (like box of elbow macaroni) and when I boiled it bugs came out from being old. I had to pull salad 2 salad kits off of the check-out counter and tell the cashier "never mind" because when I looked at it, it was already brown. I've gotten bags of fruit that already has had places in it. And now yesterday (March 6th) I bought a pack of hamburger buns & when I got home I noticed they were stale. I checked the date and it says March 1st. Seriously?? As much as Publix is overpriced and snubs their nose at Walmart, I shouldn't have to check to make sure their buns aren't almost a week out of date. Ridiculous! read more

No wonder this Publix on Badcock in the strip mall has such a low rating. We have found the store manager to be a mean Grinch. Not feeling like eating out tonight we stopped in to pick up some dinner to eat at home. To our delight there was a busker/street musician out front softly singing & playing a very interesting guitar. We picked a favourite tune & security showed up saying the Publix manager had called the police to have him removed! I went inside & was told this is the norm. The manager does this. Really? The pharmacy at this location is terrible. They never answer the phone. You call customer service and they give you the run around to transfer to the pharmacy. I called and they said they would transfer me, kept me on the phone waiting and still didn't transfer me. Yesterday the pharmacy never answered. They need to get this phone issue corrected. It's very frustrating and for that they completely deserve a 1 star. I am going to have my next medication sent to cvs so Publix doesn't waste my time anymore. They put me on hold for the longest time and call was never even answered more than 20 minutes waiting, ridiculous read more

Found this Publix experience to be another good one for the chain. Very helpful employee, walks the store with you to be sure he got the directions right on for finding the coconut water. Hey, if his guess was wrong, then we both did the trek - right? Love it. No problem, recollection was good. No wait for register. Didn't see any "dirty" so that shortfall must have changed. Late in the day so the bagel selection was limited, as expected. read more

I only go to this Publix because it's near my house. We call it "crazy publix" in our house, because of the many quirky characters you find there. Maybe it's the locale, being close to the local "behavioral medical facility", maybe it's the abundant homeless population that hangs out at the soup kitchen nearby, maybe it's just something in the water. I don't know. Now - don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with this Publix, per se, other than the clientele. The service is great, they have a pretty good selection of grocery/deli/meats/veggies (however, it is on the smaller side), but if you're into people watching, this is the next best place to Walmart. In fact, since there's no Walmart around for a few miles, this may be our Walmart. read more

Easily one of the smallest Publix supermarkets in the area, the Babcock Street Publix holds its own. It's a nice, clean little store that for some reason brings to mind the quaint, small town markets of old. You know the one: where everyone knows your name. The Publix version of Cheers. I have seen a LOT of changes to this plaza in the past quarter century, but the Publix has remained relatively unchanged. There used to be a Woolworths and a Belk department store in the plaza many many moons ago. Whether this Publix gets a complete rebuild (as Publix has done elsewhere in the area) or moved, it isn't known. I kind of hope they leave it as it is. read more

This store is below average for Publix to begin with, but their pharmacy is the worst ever. They were given a prescription to fill and said it would be filled on the date it was supposed to be. I go to pick it up and am told it would be another three days before it could be filled. They said they were too busy because they had to give Covid vaccinations. This Publix needs to get a grip on pricing. One week Becks beer is 9.99, the next week it's 14.99. Please. 5 bucks difference. Can you be a least slightly constant and charge 12.99 like the local convenience store. Keep it up and I'll simply shop elsewhere. The deli department has poor people skills. There is a line of people to order sandwiches and no one from the hot deli can help nor do they know who Is doing what. You ask if there is anyone who can find out who can help speed things up. There answer is "just get a number and someone will help you."They are lacking the skill it takes for good customer servers and very unclean. Was made to feel crazy when I ordered a sub and said it was very small. When I took it up to pay, I just held it up. Didn't say anything. The cashier said there is no way that is a half and then he showed it to the girls at the cigarette counter and they agreed. They did take off $2, I appreciate that very much. I bought a big order of groceries at this Publix. Upon getting home and opening my box of Mueller's thin spaghetti, I saw about 6 small black bugs in there. I brought the product back to the store and told the cashier in customer service what happened and she couldn't have cared less. I will not be shopping there again. GROSS! read more

Went to Publix as it was right across the street from my hotel. Boy was it expensive for what I got. I will NOT be shopping there again only because the prices are astronomical. The staff was alright, not overly helpful, but nice. The store was clean, but very small for a supermarket. If you absolutely need something, it's a valid option.
