I don't know if people have high expectations of stores and people now, but I've never had a single issue. I frequent Publix for my grocery shopping and can testify that it usually stocks almost everything I need. The store offers a broad variety of products and the excellent customer service, particularly in the deli, hot foods, and bakery departments, is commendable. Staff in these departments are always ready to go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction. However, I do find that stock levels can be inconsistent at times. On more than one occasion, I have found specific items I needed to be unavailable. I would love to see an improvement in this area as it can be a bit frustrating when this happens. Another area that could use some enhancement is the presentation of the hot food case. While the food quality is satisfactory, the presentation doesn't always do justice to the quality of the products and could be more appealing. Despite these points, I continue to shop at Publix because of the convenience it provides and the exemplary customer service. With some slight improvements, I believe Publix could go from being a good store to a great one. I rate it 4.0 out of 5 stars. read more

Lack of concern and respect for regular/loyal customers. Have ordered with deli for years with the Deli's Assistant Manager offering to place my order into the store's system so my order will automatically be filled weekly. Went into store today only to find out that the Deli's Manager needed to get my information again because the Deli's Assistant Manager had not placed my order into the system as promised. I am So Disappointed and Shocked of the lack of concern and appreciation the staff has for their customers. That is, it has always been one of the things Publix has pride itself upon, is it's ability to provide excellent customer service and customer satisfaction. I am sad to say that Publix is starting to show a lack in customer relations and little to no respect or care for customer satisfaction. This has been my experience at this particular location which I shop, only because it's closest to home. o Whom It May Concern, I would like to relay an experience I had while visiting the Fishhawk Publix on Thursday, May 23, 2024. I noticed a sale on Lays Potato Chips and decided to purchase them along with some other items. I went to the Self-Service cash register and proceeded to ring up my purchase. During the process I decided to ring some of them up separately. While ringing up my items I noticed a young man wearing a Publix uniform (his name is Devin) approaching me. I continued ringing up my order when he asked very rudely, "are you going to pay for those things" to embarrass me. I was taken by surprise as I did nothing wrong, nor did I indicate I needed any assistance. I asked him why he approached me, and he did not respond. It appeared to me he thought I was attempting to steal, which offended me. For a young man to approach me and imply I'm trying to steal a $5.00 bag of potato chips is rude and disrespectful. There were other patrons and he said nothing to them. I simply told him I don't need your help. I should have contacted a manager; however, I was very upset and just wanted to leave. I have lived in Fishhawk for almost 20 years and have never had an experience like this, especially from someone working in Publix. I would say Devin needs Customer Service training; however, his behavior suggests he needs training on not judging people who don't look like him. Customer service has definitely declined. I'd like this location... I don't usually have any issues or problems. It is convenient and the things that I buy there are usually very fresh. Especially the sliced cake and other bakery items. There is usually no line or any other type of deterrent. I get what I need to get and get out and head back to the house... read more

Publix stocks a plethora of food items. The Produce Department is larger than most, and the Vegetables and Fruits are always fresh and well stocked at any given time. The Bakery bakes Breads and Pastries every morning, the Cheese section carries a vast variety, and there is a large Liquor Department. An entire aisle is dedicated to International foods. The building itself is enormous so Publix has all the name brands you would ever need or want. When I'm checking-out and my Bagger automatically offers to put my groceries in my car for me, it's always something I appreciate. The customer service is excellent in that way. If there is anything amiss at Publix, it would be that many times, the quality of the Meat and Fish lacks freshness. There have been multiple times I've had to return Chicken and/or Fish due to the items being past their prime or downright spoiled. If anything, the bad meat issue seems to be a universal problem for most Publix grocery stores in general. Given the high price of Meat, this is just not okay. I don't really "get" why it seems to be a problem for Florida to have fresh meat anywhere you go, and for this reason, shopping for meat at Costco seems to be another promising route to go. 32/100 read more

A beautifully laid out Publix in the Fishhawk Ranch area of Lithia. It is large and neat, well lit with a large parking lot. We popped in to do some grocery shopping for my brother in law who is currently laid up due to an injury. While things weren't in the usual places, like they are at our local Publix, but we were able to locate everything we needed, or ask an associate and find out where things were, with an offer to take us to them, which we declined. My brother in law did well this week, nearly everything on his shopping list was bogo, which Publix does quite frequently, making shopping at publix truly a pleasure. read more

This place is constantly a mess. I don't know how many times I've returned produce because of mold. I've found lots of expired bread and chips, and their publix milk is usually very close to expiration. Towards the end of a sale (like, 2 days before), they will generally be out of all the sale items. And every weekend, some charity or kids' team or organization is outside the front doors begging for your loose change. I mean, it's not like I'm going to start shopping at Winn-Dixie or something, but this place is generally poorly run. On the plus side, because of their negligence in changing price tags, items very frequently are priced incorrectly, leading to free stuff. Although this generally takes a few minutes for them to verify - slowing your trip through the checkout lane - just about every trip ends with some free stuff due to the Publix Promise. Let us start off by saying Publix has always been our go to supermarket for years beginning in south Florida while living there since 1967 and now in Georgia at our home outside of Canton Ga..The Riverstone Store with Don as the Store Manger cannot be beat for customer service, cleanliness and always stocked without fail. He is always on top of everything! We have a second home in Lithia FishHawk Florida. We have shopped at this store since they opened. Without FAIL they are the worst at customer service , poorly stocked shelves and product freshness. The DELI has had problems continually for over 5 years and they just cannot get it right even after multiple people including neighbors complaining to corporate management. Facts: just last week.. 3 times we went to the store all three times at 5 PM there were NO chickens, wings anything in the case to be purchased. One time on Playoff Sunday we went in and saw the Deli Mgr who was stocking the cheese counter. We asked about the chickens and she had NO idea they were empty. When she checked it would be another 40 minutes before any chickens would be in the case. Next we stopped by to get two dozen roses and a cake for someones birthday. The cake was previously frozen. We asked for a happy birthday saying which they placed on the cake. When we got it home after 2 hours of it thawing out... the entire frosting fell off and it tasted stale ! The same week we ordered $40.00 in assorted lunch meats. The deli items were to be ready at 11:45 AM. When we went in and did other shopping we checked at the case and nothing? We asked and they came back and told us they had LOST our order. Its one thing after another at this store and we could go on for a long time about all our bad dealings at THIS PUBLIX including another special order birthday cake and food order mixup. This is definitely a hiring and training issue at THIS STORE. Nothing but excuses and apologizes from management. Yes they have built and remodeled 2 other stores but they are several miles away from Fish Hawk where we live.. Sad this one has so much potential and I am shocked Publix allows this poor service to continue from this store! Update: we needed about$40.00 in lunch meat this week. We ordered it on line and was told it would be ready at a certain time. Fast forward, we arrived, it wasnt ready and they had not even begun to cut the lunch meat. Shopped for other items..Spoke with Deli Mgr only to have more excuses.. also told Store Mgr who rectified it but lost money on sale! How about this FIRE Deli Mgr, and retrain all Deli help! I was in between 2 or 3 stars, I don't like to leave a review while upset but it's a day later and im still upset. I ordered a 1/2 sheet birthday cake that feeds 40 people. I asked for a specific color of flowers which I kinda got ‍ not as pretty as the picture on the book they have but I'm not trying to be picky with that. My issue was I specifically asked for top chocolate and bottom vanilla cake. I didn't get that. ‍ It was half and half. The cake was for my daughters 10th birthday party, a very important party for us. She specifically wanted the top part chocolate and bottom vanilla because she likes both flavors. Haven said that I had to cut a thin slice of each side and serve it together and it was just extra work. I started preparing for the party since 5 am and picked the cake up at 11ish and was exhausted. I tried very hard to make this party perfect for her. The cake was our only disappointment. read more

Good place. I like that a lot of the workers are teens it's nice to see them work hard. They often don't help though. This Publix is always very clean, organized, and the shelves are most of the time stocked. Lines are average and I can get through quickly. It is very convenient it's next to all other stores, the school, and the neighborhoods. read more

Until we get a 'Trader Joe's' in Tampa, this is the only place I'll do my grocery shopping. I wish they'd get new uniforms, but I guess it's easy to spot them if you need help finding canned yams or some other random item. Shopping is definitely a pleasure. The entire staff is extremely polite and helpful. Caleb and Latonia in customers service go out of their way to assist anyway possible. I recommend calling deli orders and sandwiches is before leaving home, that way you avoid waiting in line. The store is always clean and checking out is usually pretty quick. This Publix is so frustrating. Any given week they are out of many items on my list... from tea to cucumbers. Today takes the cakes though... I used online ordering for everrroast chicken. What I received was NOT everrroast. It was so spicy, and was not edible for my kids. After much consideration, I decided to return it. At customer service (I was actually a bit embarrassed to be doing so even though weekly I buy bad produce or expired spinach here). I explained that although the label said everrroast it was certainly not. Without apology or offering to remedy, I was given a refund with disgust and sent on my way. Valrico ( gorgeous seafood dept) and Bloomingdale Publix outshine this Publix in every way. I will drive the extra 10 minutes to be able to get everything on my list. read more

Deli is absolutely horrible. I waited over 30 minutes to get a sub with only one person in front of me who was also extremely frustrated. As I was waiting deli employees were standing around. One particular employee pulled a customer from the back of the line and served him before everyone else. Would have been annoying yes but when she finished with him she said looked at me and said "I'll be with you soon" and walked away. I proceeded to watch her talk on the phone and stand around for 5 minutes before finally deciding she could take my order. This whole time my husband got all of our other groceries and returned before I even talked to an employee. I have never seen employees move so slowly and care less about customer satisfaction.
