Publix, Indian Land SC
Bruce K.

Great shop today at Publix. I feel bad that I had already done almost the entire shop already at Aldi and Lidl, but there are simply certain products and certain brands that I can only get from Publix and that's what happened today. Produce department was excellent and I found fresh ginger. Wine department was great and I found the cooking wine we like. And the dairy department had the yogurt that my wife put on the list. Yeah, prices tend to be just a little higher here and there at Publix, but I find the quality is excellent. (Publix Subs are the bomb.) [Review 10769 overall, 537 of 2019.]

It's new and clean, but prices are too high and I'd rather go to Teeters down a few miles away. First and last time I'm at this place.

New to Indian Land and the region. There are sooo many options as this are South of Meck county…read morecontinues to grow. History tells us this brand was started by Jim Lowe of THE Lowes of home improvement fame in Winston-Salem, NC. It's flashy, lots of bells and whistles to get your attention. ROCKING chairs in the front of the store. Big and bold plant display as you enter with fresh plans/flowers advertised for $1.00. BUT the prices here are so much higher than other upscale grocery stores like Harris-Teeter or Publix. They have a sizable fresh vegetable/fruit area as well as prepared foods. You can dine in as well with lots of coffee/tea options. And WAIT, there are COFFEE grinders! You thought they were banished Post COVID? You won't find them at H-T, Publix, Food Lion OR Whole Foods. They only thing that I thought was exceptional about this place was the advertising/marketing. It WILL get your attention and give you that 'down home Southern comfort feeling' but their prices are way high on Sodas, Soups, meats and frozen foods like individual frozen dinners.

I find it confusing that there's a Lowes that sells food and a Lowes that sells hardware, and even…read moremore confusing when they are located near each other! This Lowes is huge and very clean. It's like a cross between Trader Joe's and Harris Teeter. The produce is fresh and vibrant. They have plenty of healthy options. The workers seem happy to be there. They have coupons all the time, especially if you are a loyalty member, though many items are still overpriced. Parking is not difficult to find at all. Hours are conveniently long, 6am-11pm. Seniors get a discount on Wednesdays.

I come back to this Harris Teeter in Fort Mill one year later for my annual Thanksgiving holiday…read moretrip and find this location so refreshing and just loved my shopping experience here. If I lived here I would be shopping at this Harris Teeter 3x a week for sure. Great selection, prices seemed very reasonable, lots of good sales, the pizza looked solid - not sure if it beats Costco but many different options and it looked appetizing. 2 bucks off Sweet Potato Pie and it was pretty solid. My friend bought Angus Ribeye Rib Roast that was on sale $10 off per pound - but the cool thing was it was a bit too big and he just asked the butcher guy if they could trim it down - no problem! Took it out of the package, chopped about 15% off, and re-weighed and price sticker replaced. Awesome! Everyone I talked to for help here was really nice. Even the cashier guy - forgot his name - long hair n glasses - but funny thing was he was the same register guy who helped us out last year Thanksgiving. So I asked if he was still living the dream - he smirked - said for now yeah. He's been there 2 years now so I guess he's looking to take the management route. Hopefully next year he could get promoted. He said they give away cookies at the bakery for free samples - whaaa?? I missed that one but I will be back cuz I really dig this grocery store. Wish we had one in Austin. Happy Thanksgiving 2024!! Yeeee haaww!!!
