On Murrell Rd. up in Rockledge, we had Earth Fare. And of course there are the constant rumors of finally having a Whole Foods here. But for some reason, what we had just suddenly closed. We did have local alternative groceries, which I am thankful for, but I know a larger alternative grocery would provide more options. Ergo, I am happy Sprouts decided to open here in Melbourne, FL, especially since I got to experience them in Tampa because my sister is a regional manager for their personal health department. Located on Hollywood Blvd., in the same plaza as LA Fitness Palm Bay, Sprouts is a stand-alone store that provides many of the same options both Lucky's and Earth Fare had. They have all the typical grocery departments including a bakery, deli, produce, personal health, and such. They do have an ambiance similar to our local Downtown Produce and the Thrifty Produce located in Rockledge on Eyester Blvd. For example, above their milk and diary wall, their signage is framed within a dairy farm setting. Other sections have old-time farmer's market signage above them complete with corrugated metal roofing and treated wood panels. Much of the base grocery is alternative healthier choices from what mainstream groceries provide. However, what stands out are their produce, meat and deli, and bakery. Everything is made fresh, and most are in-house. They provide freshly-squeezed juices, fresh-cut veggies and fruits, and pre-made meals that you can take home and cook. My personal favorite section is the personal care section, which provides alternative personal care and health options that actually work, from what I see. I definitely like the CBD gummies that provide sleep. There is much more to explore when I eventually go back here to Sprouts. For now, I am going to give the store a four out of five stars. They have everything you may want in an alternative grocery. The prices may be a little high, but that seems to be the case when it comes to quality. That is why Publix prices are usually higher than places like Walmart or Food Lion and so on. If this Sprouts remains consistent on their four-star quality and service on average (I'll give them a bad day or two), then they'll earn their fifth star for consistency.

Publix has created a solid reputation by offering incredible customer service, great BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals, and we cannot forget their subs, which are affectionately known as "Pub Subs." Coming from New Jersey, a state known for their great subs, in a way, it hurts me to state that a supermarket has some of the best subs in the area. But it is also a 100% true statement. Publix subs are very good. My go-to sub is probably their Italian sub, which is truly a tasty offering. I also enjoy their roast beef and cheese sub. I would definitely recommend upgrading it by using Boar's Head meat. It is definitely worth the small upcharge. It is great to see Publix expanding beyond the boundaries of their home state of Florida and spreading throughout the southeast. Not only am I happy about it, but I am confident that the communities where Publix opens a location are very grateful for a Publix opening by them. I would definitely recommend this particular Publix location or any Publix location for that matter and I give it five stars.

She had criticized how I had sorted all the things she had to sort out due to the fact that they were understaffed and no baggers. Once I had another order. I went back to her row to ensure that I would give everything that she wanted in the correct order as I did so she began to mock me, and after I went and started to put away the customers order I was still made fun of by her and peers. She had an issue with my skin color and it was obvious from the tone of her voice from the first time I met her to the second interaction. I'm sad to see Publix employ racist that will critique their own customers and the fact she was proud and not apologetic through the whole issue makes me wonder if that's what this part of Florida is all about prejudice and high archly. I can't believe my experience at this Publix as I've had nothing but great experiences in central Florida. Racism is still alive in these parts and if you come by here I insist keep driving not worth being singled out if you can go to the 711 or another grocery around the area. I'll be calling corporate to report this issue personally. Please avoid Becky and her older friend who were making fun of me due to my skin color and assumption of my age. The ambiance was horrible from the very start and I can't believe they would allow racist to work there.

It was very busy and he was cutting meat. came over to help us over at the Deli counter. Made short talk and I made him not feel so rushed due to no help. In the day of always being pressured into leaving a tip for some teenager who won't even look at you I so wanted to give him something for dealing with no help. This Publix is exactly what you'd expect from this beloved Florida chain. The store is clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate, if a little dingy and worn down on the outside. The aisles are spacious, the shelves are well-stocked, and it's simple to find both everyday essentials and specialty items. Their produce and bakery sections are great here, with colorful and appealing fresh fruits and veggies and a large bakery that has a decent selection of breads, cakes, cookies, and pies. There's a nice prepared foods section too, which is great if you want a quick and healthier meal in your hotel room without having to cook. This location isn't fancy, but it carries a ton of different brands. As with all Publix supermarkets, the prices are on the higher side. This isn't the store to shop if you're looking for a bargain. The staff seems competent and helpful, and I didn't have to wait long at all to check out. Parking is free and convenient too, which is a big plus in the Orlando resort area. This location also sells Disney souvenirs. I picked up some adorable Minnie Mouse pencils that I just couldn't resist for less than $5.
