Had some of the best customer service in all the years I've been at Publix by Rashaad. He mindfully crafted my sandwich at the deli and sliced the prosciutto perfectly for my Boar's head Italian sub. It's experiences like this that keep me coming back. read more

I just had a very interesting experience in the public's deli (5211 Sheridan Plaza). I was trying to order one of the subs that are on sale as their deal of the week which is normal. I asked them for lettuce tomato and onion on the sub and I was informed that they do not have any tomato right then. I asked if we go to the produce section and get a tomato so you can cut it and I can have it on my sandwich. They replied no because it messes up their inventory for the week as they are a multi-million dollar business and their concerned about a tomato over making a customer happy. Mind you this is the answer I got from the manager not the employee. We probably going to this Publix four or five days a week on the way home from work to pick up something to eat for the night this will be the last time that I shop at this Publix I'm going to go to the one that's a little further from my house because they've always taken care of me and I've never had an issue I think this is utterly ridiculous I couldn't get them to slice a tomato. read more

I was treated in a very disrespectful way here by a cashier that wasn't even my cashier. She grabbed the game out of my little daughter's hands. I don't feel good about coming back here again and I leave hundreds of dollars every month spending on a family of four. read more

Whenever I am in need of specialty items, like kosher meat, I make my way to this location. I usually avoid coming here because it gets extremely busy especially after 4. At that time parking is scarce, the ailes are crowded, and taking a number at the deli counter is serious business. It also takes forever to check out no matter if all registers are open. They do have a lunch area where you can take your sandwich and coffee and relax. I try to go early in the morning. read more

Always come to this Publix never really have a problem but I went and brought a sub. Long story short I found plastic in my sandwich and also a lady that was preparing the sandwiches was very rude. Mind you she was chewing on something while taking care of her customer... read more

I realize I'm reviewing a chain supermarket but just indulge my South Floridian nostalgia for a moment. Now, for those of you who know me personally, which is many of you at this point, you know I am not the biggest fan of South Florida. But, there are some areas in which South Florida just cannot be beat. Beaches and chain grocery stores are the two that come to mind. The beaches in South Florida have spoiled me forever. No beach compares in my mind to Hollywood beach and no supermarket compares to my childhood Publix. So, I'm yelping about my favorite chain grocery store of all. The Publix on Sheridan and 56th Ave. This is the Publix I grew up going to. Sure, there were closer ones because there are more of these than one knows what to do with but this one was the best. And they were open really early and really late and for some reason we were always going to the grocery store at odd hours. And while this Publix was great when I was growing up, it is simply fantastic now. First of all, it's huge. It has everything you've ever wanted. Things that I wouldn't have thought would have caught on in South Florida like organic items or healthy products are now well stocked in this Publix. It is clean. Super clean. I have lived near some smelly, sticky, gross supermarkets and Publix is just a gleaming mecca of a grocery store. The produce always seems the freshest to me in South Florida and this Publix is the freshest of all. They have a fantastic bakery and deli and their ready made food is really good, too. Honestly, I'm just happy strolling around this Publix and went simply for nostalgia's sake and enjoyment while I was there last week. I know, I know - this truly is evidence of there being very little to do in Hollywood, FL for entertainment. This Publix has spoiled me. As far as regular chain supermarkets go, this is the Hollywood Beach of supermarkets! So, go ahead, make fun. Call it "Pubics" as you laugh as though nobody else has ever made *that* joke. I'll be laughing all the way to the deliciously fresh and enormous produce section in the northwest corner of the store! read more

Deli is rude, Annette especially. No need for poor customer service and unnecessary remarks while trying to simply shop. Elderly are often overlooked and rushed. Overall not a pleasant aspect of Publix. read more

Publix - Great selection. Rude and slow department - Grocery Near Me - Hollywood, Florida

One of the largest Publix's I've been to and seemed very clean and organized. They even have a liquor store, which I don't recall ever seeing in any other Publix. Parking can be a pain, just because it's always so packed, so expect to park a little far and walk. Even though there were a lot of people they have several lanes for checkout and also for 10 items or less and it moved quickly. Our checkout lady was nice and we were in and out in like 5-10 mins (we were just buying some bags of ice for a party). read more

BEWARE!! WARNING DANGEROUS!! WARNING! BEWARE! Horrible pharmacy staff! Rude and no compassion! Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place! Would not even do their job and call another pharmacy and whined that it was close to closing time! What a disgusting display of unprofessionalism! Adam the pharmacist is smug, arrogant and lacking the least basic level of the oath he swore to as a pharmacist. He knew I was in pain but left me standing in a boot up to my knee after knowing I am having my third surgery. The vile behavior displayed is unacceptable! I was not treated with any level of human decency or respect. I am filing a complaint with the Board of Pharmacy in Tallahassee because of the inhumane way I was treated. Let me be clear: Do not let Publix's slogan where shopping is a pleasure fool you! This place treated me like a piece of dirt as a Disabled American citizen standing on one leg and foot. I stand up for my rights and I fight for my rights and no one is treating me this way and getting away with it. I will not stand for my rights being trampled. I have reached out and called Publix Customer Service and recounted what happened and Pharmacy Supervisor has not followed up or called me back. Unacceptable! WARNING Update: I have filed the complaint with the Board of Pharmacy and this Pharmacy and Adam the Pharmacist is being investigated for HIPPA VIOLATIONS. WARNING BEWARE: PHARMACISTS here do not do their jobs properly and follow the state laws regarding patient safety and regulations. If you value your privacy then stay far away from this so called friendly neighborhood pharmacy! The pharmacy staff does not care about you and has no empathy or compassion and treats you like a piece of cattle!! read more

Worst guest service i had experienced at this Publix. Came in for 3 items and was behind someone who had 20 items give or take. The lady told the cashier she for got her wallet outside and she ran out to get it. The cashier then started ringing up the lady's items and made me wait about 5 minutes when the cashier could have rang me out instead of make me wait the 5 minutes for the other lady to return read more

The sandwiches are the best you'll ever eat. Get Turkey and cheese. Also the selection of meat and produce is fantastic. Very healthy options and very fresh. The staff is fantastic and the market is super clean. When I'm in ft Lauderdale I go there for everything I need. read more

Sooooooo disappointed!!! Today we celebrate the birthday of my 2 Y old daughter and all my friends always said that the bakery in Publix is the best way to go. I ordered ONE WEEK AGO empanadas and the cake. Because some of the guest by religion are vegans, 1/3 of the empanadas was of spinach. Today, 1 1/2 hour before to the pick up they call me to say they don't have spinach empanadas, just to let me know and asking if I want to fill the order with Oder kind and I don't hear along the whole conversation any kind of apology even after I explain the situation. Also when I pick up the order, the cake was done in a different color that I request. Not a very nice experience at all!!!! Don't you suppose to order with time to let them plan their supplies?? It seems things work differently or don't work at all in Publix regarding delivery to the customer read more

The Publix in my new neighborhood is the best! Everyone was so cordial and respectful, everything was so clean and organized, and when I asked one of the employees (a young man of about 16? Wished I would have made note of his name!) where the almond milk was, his response was "it's right around the corner ma'am but don't move, I'll get one for you!" Whoa, color me pleasantly surprised. The old adage was true today, shopping at this Publix was truly a pleasure! read more

The pharmacy staff rocks! The tech there (blonde girl with glasses) was able to find a coupon to turn my $230 prescription into a $20 one!!! So thoughtful and helpful!! read more

Huge - has pretty much all you need. Still very generic. I'd rather hit up a speciality market and fork over the dough for fresh meats and seafood. Otherwise, this location meets all basic needs for food, HBA and then some. read more

All I can say is that Publix is my place to go to get what I need. I will drive past Winn Dixie, Walmart, and Walgreens to get to Publix. Shopping is a pleasure whenever I go, the customer service is great!!! I use to work for Publix 20 years ago, and wish I stayed part time. I will continue to shop here as long as one is within reach. read more

Publix - My students would go crazy if they had this in the morning!!! - Grocery Near Me - Hollywood, Florida

Definitely 5 stars! This isn't my usual Publix but I stopped in while I was in the area. FOUR employees say hello to me and asked if I needed assistance. Not your typical south Florida service. The store is also very clean and well stocked. read more

Came into the Pharmacy for a Varacella vaccination. I handed the pharmacy tech my insurance card and was originally quoted $165 for the first part of a two part series. She asked if I had a prescription card and unfortunately I didn't. Crystal went to great lengths to call both my insurance company and CVS pharmacy(because my father has filled prescriptions there) in order to get the pharmacy card number. She typed the number into the computer and my price for the vaccine went from $165 to $0. If it wasn't for Crystal I would've been paying $330 for both vaccines. Thank you so much Crystal! Awesome job! read more

I cannot believe this Publix is just miles from the Young Circle store. When you walk into this Publix, you feel like you are somewhere very far north of PGA Boulevard. read more

The Pharmacy said give them a hour and I did some shopping in the plaza 2 hours later they still didn't fill it so I had to sit and wait with my melting ice cream ... it's just not excusable read more

This is really one of the best supermarkets. Everyone is friendly and attentive. This store has everything along with great management. I always find everything that I need and feel great about being in that shopping center. I sometimes wait a bit more so I can purchase everything I need there. There are also a lot of Bogos, buy one get one free and is really very coupon friendly. This is one of my favorite places to shop. read more

This is directed towards the Deli counter at this location. It's horrible! If you have to wait in line, plan to wait a long time. They are always short staffed and extemely slow. So then you try to order online to avoid this, but when you come to pick up your order at the time its says it will be ready (which is an hour after ordering it) it is never there! This has happened to be more than once. In fact I am waiting at the deli as I'm writing this because they "never received" my online order. So ridiculous! read more

Great Publix store! I was just here to pick up some things; albeit maybe not the best idea to come on the afternoon of Super Bowl Sunday (it was crowded), but they are well-stocked and generally clean. They have a good selection of kosher items, too. Decent parking can be tough to find though. read more

At this Publix I probably go to get lunch and groceries multiple times in a week. One person that shows her professionalism is Sheila at the front express cashier. Each and everyday she is quick and I am always back on time to work. Without her ability to be consistent and effectively run the express cashier I would probably not come to publix for my lunches and groceries for our staff. I look forward to coming to that Publix due to her ability to keep it moving in a friendly and professional manner. read more

Please change how you display/stock the lettuce. Since the change to the current style on that wall, 95% of the time it is all wilted and simply not edible. It's a shame I need to go somewhere else than my neighborhood store just for that. read more

Love my local store, had the best selection and everyone is so nice. You can find literally anything you might need. Just name it!

Publix has extraordinary service every time I visit. All employees greet you with a smile and offer their help right away. I would always buy here just for the employee experience. read more

I came here to buy a Michael angelos shrimp primavera, and they did not have any. I was very dissatisfied when I found out I wasted my valuable time that I will never get back. ive been shopping at this location for the past 18 years since I moved to Hollywood. Everyone is nice, helpful, and the customer service is good. I shop there between 2-3 times a week, and I decided to put a complaint because it's the second time that I was mistreated by Micaela. She is very rude, unprofessional, and I do not think she should work with customers. If it was up to me all I think she could have done is put items on the shelves. When I complained to her of how she treats a customer and I told her I will complain about her she started laughing. What a shame I thought Publix trained their employees. They should train Micaela. read more

I've been going to this publix since 1968 when the old Hollywood mall was there.my mother and grandmother shopped there. Rated number 1

I've been coming to this store for over 18 years. This is my favorite store. They're always fully stocked and the food is always fresh. Throughout the years I've had a couple of issues with some of the employees. One of the workers is in the deli and she just has a horrible attitude, I don't know how she works with the public. I've told the manager Chuck about her and he never did anything about it. The other issue was with a cashier and of course I've only seen her once and immediately called Mike the store manager so that he can check her. She asked me a question that made me feel very uncomfortable I told her not to ask me again and since when was it a policy and she said since now so I did not appreciate her attitude or her lies. I won't let those two women bother me. I'll continue to ship there for as long as I can. read more
