I love the place. The location is very practical and on the way to most things. Some of the best prices of the island. they also have some snacks that were not at other supermarkets so bonus points for that

There is not a better or nicer store on the island period. It's super neat and organized and this is a great place to shop for your trip or even if you live here. I love this store and go every time I am in town.

I stop by here every now and again for different things so it's good to know that it's nearby our place. The sfaff is helpful and always present.

A few things that I could not get from the other supermarket, I stopped at Publix for filling in. As is usual with Publix, the store is clean and well-lit. Even on a holiday weekend, the shelves were well stocked and there were enough registers open. Produce section was tidy and the seafood counter had a nice display of fresh fish. Prices displayed clearly and they were right about the same as what I see at our Publix back in Charlotte. I used the self-checkout today. They did not have plastic bags, only paper. I'm okay with that. Parking lot isn't the biggest and some folks with out of state plates don't quite understand that pedestrians have the right of way. [Review 12398 overall, 2185 of 2019.]

This is Bing (not related to Bada Bing).

All I wanted was a Bing. You know? A Bing. Petey's Bing. You still don't know what I'm talking about, do you? In that case, see picture. As a Publix customer in Huntersville, I appreciate the cleanliness and customer service that Publix strives for. Therefore, I didn't expect any difference here. Maybe it relates to being near the beach with a lot of tourists, but this Publix isn't as clean as the Huntersville location. In regards to customer service, I found The Shower-Cap Man pushing a large steel cart. Don't ask me why he was wearing a shower-Cap because I don't know the answer. I asked him, "Do you have Bing?" "Yeah," He said, "Follow me." Off to a good start. I followed him until we reached Aisle 9 and stopped in the middle. We then quietly stared at Bai on the shelf. "Bai?" he said. "No. Straight." "What?" "Just kidding, but I was looking for Bing, not Bai." "Oh, I thought you meant Bai." Thanks for your effort, Shower-Cap Man. Genuinely appreciated, even though Bing doesn't sound like Bai. This wasn't a total waste of a stop because I picked up some Tate's chocolate chip cookies and pretzels. On the way back to Savannah, we stopped at a small convenience store just outside the historic district. I asked the lady behind the counter if they had Bing. She said yes and asked me to follow her. When we arrived at the refrigerator, she said, "Bang" with her thumb and index finger shaped as a gun as she pointed at Bang energy drinks on the other side of the glass. "You wanted a Bang, right?" Huh? "Umm ... we just met." She laughed, which hopefully improved her boring morning at work. "I appreciate the offer, but I was looking for a Bing, not a Bang." "Sorry. No Bing." If was time to throw in the towel on Bing that morning. Bought a Red Bull.

Publix Super Market at Island Crossing on Palmetto Bay Road on Hilton Head Island is a well managed Publix that has everything that you need from a grocery store and more. I really like the bakery and deli sections here. The staff here is very friendly and accommodating to add to a good shopping experience.

Live wild-caught lobsters from USA and Canada.

This Publix supermarket is located in the Island Crossing shopping center just outside the Sea Pines Resort. I believe this and the nearby Harris Teeter are the two closest grocery stores to Sea Pines. Over the years, our family has preferred to shop here while on the island. This Publix is smaller than most other Publix stores I've been to including several of the limited-space urban stores in Atlanta. However, it still manages to have all the same departments and stock most of the same items including the popular bakery and deli, a rather extensive wine and beer section, and fresh-made sushi. The only thing this Publix lacks from a standard Publix is a pharmacy. The store is clean and the meat and produce are fresh. The seafood section has a tank with live lobsters. They are wild caught medium sized lobsters sold at $12.99 per pound. Each lobster is about 1.25 to 1.75 pounds. The lobsters that have blue bands around their claws are from the US and the lobsters with red bands are from Canada. You can also get lobster tails here for $8.99. In my experience, the employees have been friendly and helpful. They've quickly helped find me what I'm looking for and checkout is usually a breeze. Recently, I was standing in line with just one item in hand and a lady at the customer service desk noticed me and called me over so I could pay and be on my way. How nice. Overall, this is a great place to stock up on groceries and household supplies if vacationing at Sea Pines/Hilton Head. Note: There is another Publix on the island, towards the northern end, off Business 278 (William Hilton Parkway). However, the shopping center it's located in also has a Walmart and is expectedly more hectic.

I came to Kroger tonight (3/24/2026) about 930pm or so - possibly as late as 10pm to get some…read moregroceries that I wanted to get for the next few days. The Frito Chips were advertised on special for 4 for $10 or whatever the regular price per item was if you didn't purchase 4 bags of the same size/options. When I checked out, I asked the attendant if I could use a store Kroger/coupon card, as I'm not.a local and don't have a Kroger card (we don't have Kroger where I live). The attendant acted somewhat odd - and I wondered if perhaps I had offended her because I didn't greet her properly (though I was not rude) before asking about using a store Kroger card for the discounts. She didn't respond to me at first and then asked how I was. After we completed the pleasantries, I then asked again about the discount card usage and she agreed that she would be glad to help with my request. We made pleasant talk as she rang the order up, though her mannerisms seemed to indicate she was exhausted or possibly on some type of medication. I asked if she was tired and ready to go home, which she denied and then she talked about her allergies. We spoke about allergies for a bit and then I used my credit card to pay once the grocery order was complete and she used the store discount card to apply to the order. After paying, I looked at the receipt and noted it did not appear the chips rang up as 4 for $10. She questioned my thinking and I showed my receipt. She continued acting somewhat odd, as if medicated or something. I offered to take a photo of the coupon at the shelves where I observed the coupon and left my receipt with her while I went to the chip aisle. I came back to the register and walked up to her with my phone. She asked me to wait, as she had taken the next folks in line behind me by this point - which I did with no issue/patiently. When she finished the folks behind me in line, she looked at my phone showing the coupon on the store shelf with the advertised price and the brands, etc. included in the coupon. She seemed unsure and seemed to continue to question my logic as well as act somewhat addled. I decided to move on and asked for the receipt. She said she didn't keep it. I did not argue nor did I attempt to correct her. I matter of fact stated, I left it with you when I went to look at the coupon. I also stated that if this was the worst thing that ever happened to me, I would live a good life and I then turned to go. She called me back from the door holding up the receipt. I then looked at the receipt with her and attempted to talk about the question again. She indicated that I didn't use my phone coupon and that was the issue. At this point, I stated that I would not have purchased 4 bags of chips without the coupon and I just wanted to return the others and keep the bag if chips I originally wanted without the coupon/discount. She indicated I could not return at the register and would need to go to customer service. There were two other attendants around/in the area observing all or part of the transaction and/or issue I described above. I never observed either of them attempt to assist with this issue either. At this point, I decided it was better to just leave, as it didn't seem anyone was capable, willing and/or able to assist with the issue. It seemed to me that the attendant was troubled by the whole issue - possibly resulting from her addled condition - which I do not know if it was her ordinary method of interacting with customers or if she was responding/reacting to some particular situation/circumstance, or even me in particular, etc. I don't think I ever lost my cool nor do I think I was rude. This is just one of the reasons why the big box stores are not always really the better places to shop. They often do not have the personalized feel of a store where the ownership or manager or the employee has a vested interest in high level customer service. I did not experience what I call great customer service and the situation was aggravating for sure. Again - if this is the worst thing that ever happens to me - I will live a great life. Regardless, the point is the lack of ability to provide good customer service and help resolve what should have been a simple issue. Better luck next time and maybe I need to just keep my business at the locally owned and operated Piggly Wiggly on the island. Their customer service has always been fantastic and they seem to know what to do when dealing with customers.

It's a fun place with their local series Tshirts and wearables, etc. The food is fresh and awesome! I was noticing today how much better their produce was than the big box store I shopped yesterday! They also didn't have boiled peanuts from a local favorite vendor at the big box store - but they had it here at the piggly wiggly! Did I mention the personal Servce? That differed from the box store too. Yesterday at the big box grocery store - I had a grumpy attendant who made me move lines because she was getting ready to shut her line down. She wasn't pleasant and was sorta rude about it - but at the piggy wiggly we were met with friendly folks all around. I noted that they really have the local feel including a care fund for a local customer who has health issues and also support of a charity event that provides food and health care for underprivileged children.
