The sprinkle sugar cookies in the Bakery were complimentary but sadly for kids only. At times when you go out grocery shopping you get very very thirsty, so you go to get a beverage at their soda machine which is a service they offer, unfortunately they didn't have straws, which is understandable, what irks me is that when you tell an employee that they are out of straws they don't do their do diligence and go to the back and get more, after all, they get paid to do a simple job, but noooo, they just decide to say there is no more straws, ha, that is hard to believe being that this is a Publix read more

We recently moved to Davie and this is our go to Publix. Conveniently located down the street from us and although it is smaller than most, it is not lacking in anything that you will possibly need. During the madness that is covid-19, they have taken every safety precaution to make sure that you feel safe during your shopping experience. Before you enter the store, there are designated areas for you to stand allowing distance between guest. Carts are cleaned and ready for you as you enter the store and directions are clearly labeled throughout the store to ensure safety of all guest. Plexiglass is covering each of the cash registers so that you and the cashier are both protected. When it comes to the safety of their guest they are definitely taking all necessary precautions. I love that weekly sales and deals are right up front and on display. Makes for a quick stop when looking to strike a good deal. As difficult as toiletries have been to find, I must admit that it's been pretty easy at this store. It's not always the specific brand that I enjoy, but I can always count on them to have toiletries available. Overall, we definitely scored when moving into the area. If you're looking for a quiet and not too busy Publix but with all the goodies you enjoy, I would definitely check them out. read more

I wish I could give 0 stars. After waiting 25 minutes to order a wrap at the deli, I finally was seen. The lady could not have done a worse job making my wrap if she tried. I asked for salt and pepper, she proceeded to put an unfathomable amount of salt of my wrap. Sure enough biting into it, it was so salty it brought tears to my eyes. As I was in a rush and had already waited so long to even be seen I didn't bother asking for another wrap. Nice little store located on Nova Drive across from Mcfater technical school. What's nice about this location is you can gas up at race track get a coffee at Dunkin' Donuts and have lunch at Mc Donald. I went to get my fresh produce as I was out of parsley and cilantro . I placed an order online for a Publix Italian Whole sub. Pickup time 11:55am; the start of my usual lunch hour. At 12:20pm I decided to buy an alternative item for my lunch, as I was told by the deli manager (who stated out loud to another customer, that he was being "worked like Kunta Kinte!") that there was no order under my name. So, I checked out with my replacement meal of premade popcorn chicken from the deli. Then I headed over to customer service, where we returned to investigate why my order was missing. At that moment the sandwich order request miraculously arrived at 12:22pm. Now poor Kunta attempted to make the sandwich, I declined because the deli had already used up most of my lunch hour as non-online orders got their sandwiches made before me. This store is small. Where's the exit? After paying for my groceries, I turned left and somehow ended up in the bathroom.

This morning I was at the Sub buying ham and I understand that the way the manager treated her employee was quite disrespectful and rude. The employee was called Marlene and the manager was Biby. I think the manager was unprofessional when she yelled at an employee in front of the customer. And from what I could see there was preference because they were all black and the woman was Hispanic. We must be more professional. When the employee Marlene left the Dely, she was super sad and like she couldn't believe it. With this review I just want to appeal to all those people who quit or end up badly emotionally because of unprofessional and racist people. read more

I was in a hurry during this particular visit to Publix, and with Glen and Anthony's help, I was able to get in and out right away. Talk about fast! The cashier, Glen, was like a scanning ninja; I was afraid Anthony wasn't going to be able to keep up, but he was bagging on another level, muttering to himself "Gotta go faster." There never seem to be any shopping carts when I go to shop at this location. What's going on? It seems like only last year they had quite a few of them and I'd see that Glen guy bringing in 8-10 at a time while his other coworkers would only bring like 2 or 3. This seems to be the worst Publix I go to. Mary the cashier does not care about customers time. She will walk away from the register and take 5 minutes to come back just to verify a price. (I think she does this to me on purpose) and Poor Gleen, He shouldn't be bagging groceries for anyone in a rush. He's a great guy though. But Mary has to work on her customer service skills. Smaller than the average but perfect for the area. Produce areas is normally for bags of kale, an onion, and maybe a few bananas just to tie me over before my next farmers market visit. Deli area seems to always be packed with students or parents that had decided to skip cooking for the night. Sushi and cold deli items for those quick lunches. Pretty much if you come here it's because of convenient. Most days I can do a quick in and out in under 10 minutes with my small basket of necessities. 9 times out of 10 people are shopping for 1-2 people and maybe a child. It's not rare to see people in gym/yoga sweats racing through to and jump into a line. The holiday seasons, especially the cooler months, bring extended wait times. And that might just mean an extra 5 minutes. But the service is pretty good as well. Employees are always working. Rarely, if ever, have I found an employee not doing something. Which may mean they might be a little short handed. But they are always nice. I've had employees stop stocking shelves to help me look for an item, cashier correct a BOGO that I didn't noticed, a baker fill me in on a pull apart cake for my nephew's first bday, and a bagger carry my items when I was limping after a serious legday. Hello...my future dukedom. I moved to Davie a few weeks ago and this is now my home Publix. I'll start by saying this location is smaller than the usual. Tiny but mighty, I say. With less room, they still manage to cram in all the things you see at the usual Publix (don't worry they still have DEM SUBS), but I find it funny that the shopping cards are noticeably smaller. I thought that was interesting. The produce section has left a little to be desired - especially on the veggie side - but the fruits have been decent. They haven't had any good tomatoes on my first couple of visits, but I'm hoping that it's just been a crappy season - and they will eventually pick up. The staff here is fantastic. I've noticed a lot of the cashiers recognize people and call them by name. It's like a small town shop - and that little extra touch is really nice. Parking has always been a breeze and the store never has super long lines (at least the times I go). Stoked to have this as my new store (literally across the street from my new place) and shopping here is indeed a pleasure! read more

This is probably the smallest Publix I've been to. They don't have some "rarer" items that I've been able to find in other Publix. Trying to find ponzu sauce, nope. Firm tofu? nope. Today I bought 2lbs of hamburger. Outside was red and fresh looking, inside was dark brown meat. I find this deceptive and unethical. If you have old nasty meat you want to sell, at least allow people to know what they are buying. Do not carefully wrap a thin layer of good meat around nasty meat. Also they have a bagger who gives me the creeps, I think his name was Glenn. I allowed him to push my cart out once and on the way out he said he can do whatever he wants there because those 'bitches' can't fire him because of the ADA. I found this very inappropriate. After that I didn't even want to be in the line he was bagging much less let him walk me out to the car. I once got snapped at by a Deli girl. I asked if there was going to be any more rotisserie chicken available soon. She said, if I didn't see any she'd guessed not. I went on shopping. When I passed after paying, there was rotisserie chicken set out. She should have said it would be ready in 10 minutes, then I could have continued shopping and picked up chicken before paying. No supply of sales items. I the other day I went to this location specifically for the Jamaican beef patties that were listed as BOGO. When I got to the store the patties were sold out like always at this small store. I waited in line to talk to customer service and get a rain check. The rep behind the outer said the machine that printed these was out of service. I believe this was a lie because today at another store I was informed that they do not offer rain. This store has a history of advertising items that they do not have or have very little of to get me to come in. I am going to start going to other stores as I have not had this issue at Win Dixie. Been my go to store forever, satellite store but well stocked. I like a specific red wine but it disappeared from the shelf but was available at all other stores. I asked today why, manager Matt said it was discontinued in that store. I said I had shopped here very long time, and wanted to continue to do so but if I can't get the things that I want to, I'll probably have to switch to a different store. He checked inventory and discovered that there were still stock in house, went and got two bottles for me and promised to reactivate it for that store. I'm really pissed off. I never have anything bad to say about a Publix, but this will be my first bad review. I requested smoked Gouda cheese on my Sandwich and that's not what I got. I even asked a second time after he placed the cheese on the bread if that was smoked Gouda cheese, he told me "yes it is". At that point I knew he was lying because I eat smoked Gouda cheese all the time so I know what it looks like. This is not my favorite Publix but it is the one I frequent the most often. You have to take it for what it is. Yes it is smaller and no it doesn't have all the selection of many other Publix. I would not recommend doing big grocery trips here but this place is perfect to pick up a few odds and ends to put together a meal. The main advantage of this Publix is convenience. You don't have to deal with the heavy traffic of University, and this one is much easier to get in and out of than the ones on university. I rarely have to wait in line at all and even the non-express lanes are effectively express lanes because almost nobody buys large amounts of groceries here. The staff here is amazing. Way better than the staff at the other Publix locations (not that the others are bad, these guys are just great). They create a very friendly neighborhood market vibe that is somewhat reminiscent of a bygone era. Pretty much every cashier will go out of their way to make pleasant conversation while they ring you out and congratulate you on whatever great BOGOs you get. Quick tip: The fried chicken here is markedly better than it is at the other 2 Publix in the area. Get some. read more

This is definitely one of the smaller Publixes in the area, but there is one on every corner. I usually tend to shop mostly at SuperTarget for large grocery hauls since I can get all my groceries and home stuff in one trip. However, when I only need a few things, I come here seeing as it's right down the street. There's something about his store that makes you walk in looking for 3 things and you walk out with a full cart. I guess it's the service they provide which is the difference. I really see it in the cash register line (I never have to bag my own stuff, and they don't put soda bottles with eggs like some places) and the management. Since this is a smaller store, I inquired about a particular product I had purchased at another Publix I didn't see on the shelf. The manager informed me that since another Publix had it, they could start carrying it. Just per my request. Wow-that's pretty bitchin customer service. I also notice that there's always someone to help you out to your car if you want (I never need it) and they will take the carts back to the store for you. Details like that make a difference. People will complain of the deli line-at noon on a weekday when everybody wants one of their famous subs. You have to expect that. This is a great little store. read more

Small location, but they carry everything you need to make dinner. Not a gourmet dinner, but dinner. There are larger locations within a couple miles away, as well as Costco and Whole Foods.
