The groceries are priced so high sometimes more than two or three times as much as other stores for the same item. The biggest disappointment is the deli where it is always unclean and slow to wait on customers! Never enough checkers or people to help you out to the car with your groceries either. Watch out for the bogos you have to get the exact item as pictured or you get a shock when you go to check out at the register and they don't let you know ahead of time. So many times I have had to bring items back because the cashier's are inept! Shop elsewhere so many other choices to choose from even in Dade City and just a short drive to Zephyrhills much better stores and customer service! read more

The Publix in Dade City has been such a massive disappointment. Over the past 3 months whenever I visit the store ( which is usually a couple of times a week) I find expired yogurts on the shelves- even yogurts for baby's. Some are weeks past the date. I have spoken to two different managers on several occasions and nothing has been done, one manager was very rude and thought it was funny! If you buy yogurts there please check the dates for the safety of you and your family. read more

I ordered a chocolate covered strawberry cake up on arrival. It was sitting out on a shelf when it should been refrigerated on the way home. I opened it in the top was completely slid off and the chocolate and everything was melted. When I called they showed no sympathy and just said bring it back and they can try to fix it. I don't understand how a melted chocolate cake is fixable . They have terrible customer service. I do not recommend. read more

An employee killed himself at this store in the family restroom. This store decided to reopen the same day and keep other employee's around for when it re-opened (yes, they got to watch their fellow employee get taken out in a body bag while they got to bag groceries/stock shelves. This is still an exceptionally nice store. We shop here while visiting for the winter and really enjoy what they offer. The bakery, produce and meats are very high quality. The prices are a little high but, they offer a wide variety of very good products. One of my favorite things is their store brand ice cream. Still a full 1/2 gallon and just yummy. read more

The deli is under staffed consistently. I ordered chicken wings for a party so they would be hot. They were cold. The deli looks dirty and the staff will touch doors with gloves on and go back to cutting meat and cheese without changing gloves. The employees are always saying we will be with you as soon as we can at the lunch hour. The only time I ever see the place run smoothly is iwhen the bigwigs are around looking at everybody working. read more

The staff is super nice, but this is the most poorly stocked Publix I have ever been to. They've even stopped asking if I've found everything okay, because they know what the response is going to be. I know it's not a supplier issue because I can find what I need at other Publix stores just a few miles away. I LOVE PUBLIX , but the DELI at Dade city Publix SUCKS The emplyees that works there is not giving good customer service at all. The stations are not clean, i asked for hot tenders and one of the guys working at the Deli said "im sorry i cant get more chicken because ..... And he just said give me one sec and he completely ignored what ive asked him. I would hate for anybody to get fired but please atleast teach them how to give a good customer service. read more

Either this store is not really a Publix or Publix has really gone downhill. The store itself is a mess. No one there is following the guidelines as set by the County regarding Covid (no wonder it's spreading). They hardly have any inventory and they make no apologies or remedy for it (I'm not talking about Lysol here folks, I'm talking about ANYTHING). When you have a problem, you get NO response and if you call the "customer care" number just to make an inquiry, they are rude, sarcastic and "don't know" the answer to anything. I have ordered up to ten subs at one time . I have always had very good service and great subs.

Such a clean store fully stocked. The meat and fish department is great. Meat is always fresh and not shipped in packages to the store. I love the packages of meats already seasoned and pop em in the oven and you have a great meal with no mess. read more
