I work for a physician in Zepyhrhills, FL and called in as a nurse in regards to a question for a patient's Rx. The patient was told by the pharmacy twice that they never received a prescription from my office. The patient called our office fuming. I explained to the patient that, in fact, CVS did receive her prescription request from our office and have been in communication with us via fax. I then called the pharmacy and sat on death hold for over 25 min while at work. I hung up and called back, spoke with what acted and sounded like a 14 year old girl, who then put me back on hold for over 8 minutes. Keep in mind, I'm a charge nurse and am at work sitting on death hold once again. When the juvenile finally got back on the line I vented my frustration with the wait and being placed on hold. She then told me that I need to calm down. I attempted to explain that this customer service is unacceptable and mid-sentence, she put me back on hold. I then hung up in frustration for wasting over 30 minutes in all to be treated so poorly. This is a pharmacy that we have worked closely with for close to ten years. But this one incident was so unprofessional that I refuse to take the chance of dealing with the same individual again. Unfortunately for this CVS, there are plenty of other pharmacies in this area that we can and will utilize from this point forward. I then called another pharmacy company and called in the patient's Rx there without a problem. I will be sure to deter any and all of our Dade City patients from using the CVS 24-hr pharmacy in Dade City, FL. My physician is also livid with the treatment that we received from their immature employee and is happy to call our many prescriptions in to another location or another company. read more
