I know they have made some changes since it first opened, but it did feel sort of less cluttered. I say that because while the aisles felt wider, the produce less crammed, and a back corner reconfigured, I still have never mastered the art of shopping Trader Joe's. The placement of items seems so random to me, and unituitive. Why are there peanut butter cups and harissa above frozen vegetables? Why are cookies over nearly everything frozen from dinner entrees to breakfasts? It can be a little frustrating for 'compartmental shoppers.' If you want fresh flowers, make sure you go early in the day for the best selection. And if you're going for flowers near the end of the week, be also forewarned that a number of church flower guilds use TJ to create and/or supplement their weekly arrangements because TJ gets some unique flowers in smaller bunches at decent prices.

Flower selection is always well-stocked, fresh, and beautiful. They have a good selection of meat, cheese, basic produce, and specialty frozen products. I have some gripes about the layout, but recognize that the model of TJ's is the 'thrill of the hunt.' I would complain, but I know they're doing it on purpose. It's fun. I went most recently on a Sunday morning. Do not recommend. I was dodging cute couples discussing Sunday supper while trying to get through quickly. I like to go at slower times so I have the room to lollygag and loaf about. My recommendations: soup dumplings, frozen mandarin chicken, strawberry licorice, and any other snack that strikes your fancy. I always pick up a couple bottles of the "two buck chuck." The Trader Joe's vineyard, Charles Shaw, is colloquially called "two buck chuck," but has gone up to $4 these days. Still, it's a good enough wine for me. I never go in expecting to find household items. I did not get to check aluminum foil off of my list. Alas, I must hunt some more. How thrilling!

I also appreciate that they are an option on the Too Good To Go platform. I do wish it were easier to obtain a bag, but I understand availability is limited due to the nature of how the program works. The prices can sometimes be higher than what you would pay at Walmart, but when you compare the quality, selection, and overall experience, the slightly higher cost feels worthwhile. Whole Foods offers many products that other stores do not, making it a valuable shopping experience, especially for people who enjoy trying new things. The store itself is clean, organized, and easy to navigate. I've never felt overwhelmed by the layout, and the atmosphere is enjoyable. The music is not too loud or distracting, which adds to the overall pleasant shopping experience.

They also have a ton of stuff to try, but it does seem a little like Trader Joes - a lot of speciality foods, most of which are out of normal budget.

Unlike the Lakeview Pig, the produce selection and quality here is great. The layout offers more breathing room, and the staff is across the board friendly and helpful. Hate to say it, but I truly believe it was because of my husband's dark skin color as opposed to my light skin color. Very uncomfortable experience. Overall, the actual grocery store was decent, it would've been 5 stars if we weren't treated like outsiders.

I am an ALDI junkie. I have found that almost all of my weekly shopping can be done here, and they…read morehave fantastic prices. A lot of people have a hard time getting used to the way ALDI works; ALDI's model is based on German and European markets, where people tend to shop more often in smaller trips. So you aren't usually going to find produce that can be held over for lengthy amounts of time. That said, they are shopped enough that their produce is fresh and has a high turnover. Be sure to catch deals on seasonal produce, as they regularly have the best prices on watermelons in summer and pumpkins in fall. ALDI is great for trying new and "off-brand" products. They offer a wide range of specialty items including cheese and wine. I've found most to be better than average with much of it sourced in Europe. While they do offer name products, who doesn't love "generic" European wines and real milk chocolate at "chocolate flavored" prices? Be sure to bring a quarter in order to use a shopping cart. At checkout, you can purchase bags, use your own from home, or grab a box from a shelf or bin and recycle it later.

My wife took that package back to the meat counter and picked up a different package but it also was marked at $2.99. The register man said he would go back and find the rigt kind of package. He did so and came back with a differetn type of package that was marked at $1.99. I found him helpful but I believed this is a very sneaky way of doing business. If you advertise them at $1.99 than all packages with tohose contents that are on the counter should be at that price.

Torta Cubana- filled with alllll the meats and it's A TON of food. Two hungry men could easily share one sandwich. 2. Steak Taco- the best street taco I've had in the Bham area so far. Lots of meat. Yellow corn tortillas, so fresh. Added my own onions/cilantro/hot sauce so I got as much as I like to have (which is a lot) 3. Steak Gorditas- tortilla pocket was perfect. Meat and cheese perfect. I will think of this every day this week and get this again and again forever. 4. Papusas (bean and cheese)- Also perfect.
