When I think of Aldi's, I think of fresh fruits and veggies at great prices, my favorite frozen tuna fillets, the complete line of gluten free products at Aldi's, and last, but not least, shopping bags and quarters! I carry a bag of several recycled shopping bags in the back of my car for use when I get to Aldi's. Although the bags are available for purchase, it's cheaper to BYOB (Bring your own bags!). The shopping carts unlock with a quarter and when returning the shopping cart at the end of your visit, out pops your quarter deposit. On my most recent visit to this location, the check-out clerk discovered my blackberries had fuzz on them. He called to the back and one of the other staff members brought fresh Blackberries to the check out for me, so I would be able to take home only the best. It was a sweet gesture, when we think about the level of engagement required to treat customers like family. It was much appreciated. The check-out clerk said he had too many customers that drove from Montgomery to this location and he didn't want me to have to drive back to return the blackberries. Very cool.

Aldi Store Front Alabaster, come check out their lowest prices!

Aldi is the best! Needing a grocery store but not want to spend a fortune? Look no further! They have a huge organic fruit and veggie section. Prices make your wallet happy and so much more! Don't expect to come here looking for name brands because it isn't happening. But their selection is amazing for the price and some even better! Remember to bring your own bags and a quarter for the cart. Milk is less than $2 a gallon and eggs under a dollar as well. Freshest veggies you can buy at a local store

My mother in law swears by Aldi. Now that we're going with more organics at home for my daughter I tried it out. The prices on organic grass fed beef and organic free range chicken are significantly cheaper than the "healthy" specialty grocery stores. The format is open case discount store. They have a very limited staff, you rent carts for a deposit and they do not have grocery bags for your purchases. Largely the brands aren't recognizable. There are some exceptions. Value is very good. Quality is yet to be determined, but I assume certified organic has a standard that must've been achieved in order to warrant the labeling. I'll go back for sure. Unfortunately the fresh vegetables didn't appear to be organic. Some meat and some frozen. It will not be a one stop shop for me; however meal prep with cheap organic meat will warrant future visits.

Baskets and carts available. Lots of peaches of course. But also some other fruits and vegetables. All looked good and they were bringing out more from the back. Several cold cases with bagged and packaged items including sauerkraut cheeses and butter and soft drinks. Lots of pickled, canned items (Mason jars) and dip mixes. Some metal yard art sculptures, cute pots for plants, tee shirts. Then if you go inside there's an ice cream counter and some baked goods, and you can order sandwiches. There are lots of tables so you can eat there or get it to go. One whole side of the store is now retail items such as clothes, cups, stuffed animals, keychains, jewelry, etc. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Food came out pretty fast. Price a little steep but they were pretty big sandwiches and they were good. My mother got a Club on white and I got the Holy Guacamole on sourdough. They did make a couple errors. They switched the bread, so my sandwich came out on white and my mother's came out on sourdough. There were also no sprouts on my sandwich. No mention that they were out of them so assuming they forgot. But both sandwiches were very good so not a big deal. Place was clean and tables were being cleaned and items were being swept up as needed.

Many times I have gotten to my hotel room, eager to eat a fresh pie, only to be utterly disappointed. i wasn't disappointed this evening. Locals should support this place for the community and journeyers need not be afraid. Generous with the toppings but not overzealous either. Nice balance in each bite. Enjoy.

Inside was a little better, looking clean but worn. The drink and ice machine was broken, which they apparently did not know until after they took our order. To their credit they found some bottled water and coke in the back and offered to refund our drinks. The food was on display on the counter in a case, but I was concerned because there didn't seem to be any sort of temperature control, just various pizzas, calzones, and more sitting out at room temperature. We chose what we wanted and they heated it up and brought it to the table. I got a Stromboli with sausage and pepperoni, and my friend got a slice of supreme pizza and one of stuffed pizza. The food actually didn't taste bad. My Stromboli was brushed with garlic butter when it was heated up which was nice, but unfortunately it was still cold in the middle. All in all, I won't be back. There are SO MANY great pizza and pasta joints in the area, this one just doesn't stack up.
