When I think of Aldi's, I think of fresh fruits and veggies at great prices, my favorite frozen tuna fillets, the complete line of gluten free products at Aldi's, and last, but not least, shopping bags and quarters! I carry a bag of several recycled shopping bags in the back of my car for use when I get to Aldi's. Although the bags are available for purchase, it's cheaper to BYOB (Bring your own bags!). The shopping carts unlock with a quarter and when returning the shopping cart at the end of your visit, out pops your quarter deposit. On my most recent visit to this location, the check-out clerk discovered my blackberries had fuzz on them. He called to the back and one of the other staff members brought fresh Blackberries to the check out for me, so I would be able to take home only the best. It was a sweet gesture, when we think about the level of engagement required to treat customers like family. It was much appreciated. The check-out clerk said he had too many customers that drove from Montgomery to this location and he didn't want me to have to drive back to return the blackberries. Very cool.

Aldi Store Front Alabaster, come check out their lowest prices!

Aldi is the best! Needing a grocery store but not want to spend a fortune? Look no further! They have a huge organic fruit and veggie section. Prices make your wallet happy and so much more! Don't expect to come here looking for name brands because it isn't happening. But their selection is amazing for the price and some even better! Remember to bring your own bags and a quarter for the cart. Milk is less than $2 a gallon and eggs under a dollar as well. Freshest veggies you can buy at a local store

My mother in law swears by Aldi. Now that we're going with more organics at home for my daughter I tried it out. The prices on organic grass fed beef and organic free range chicken are significantly cheaper than the "healthy" specialty grocery stores. The format is open case discount store. They have a very limited staff, you rent carts for a deposit and they do not have grocery bags for your purchases. Largely the brands aren't recognizable. There are some exceptions. Value is very good. Quality is yet to be determined, but I assume certified organic has a standard that must've been achieved in order to warrant the labeling. I'll go back for sure. Unfortunately the fresh vegetables didn't appear to be organic. Some meat and some frozen. It will not be a one stop shop for me; however meal prep with cheap organic meat will warrant future visits.

You may also pick your own. You can taste before you buy, naturally. If you have never had freshly picked apples, you are in for a treat. These are so different from those at the grocery store and the prices are good. Prices may vary a little depending on what you select, but, currently for apples, it is $12.00 for a large basket or $22.00 for a bushel. Now, a bushel is about 42-48 pounds or 126 medium apples, so it is a lot. The basket is probably about a peck which is about 10-12 pounds or about 32 medium apples. I find that a basket is good because it lasts me about two weeks and the apples taste fresh the whole time. However, I just eat them and do not cook with them. You may need more. Just put them in your refrigerator crisper and they will keep well as long as they are not dropped and bruised. When you purchase them they will all be blemish free. This is a wonderful short drive from Birmingham for a little family outing. Kids love to go out and pick the fruit. As a side note, if you are into gardening, this place is just across from Petals from the Past which is a unique nursery. Heck, you can find a place to eat (not in Jemison) and make a day of it.

As a gluten free person I know I can get a full cart of groceries here and not have to compromise. Some of my ALL TIME favorite Sprouts picks are: - Bizzy espresso roast cold brew - good culture full fat cottage cheese - bubbies pickles and sauerkraut - LIVE SODA SPICY CHERRY BERRY flavor!!! - sprouts dill pickle chips made with avocado oil - Kalona farms heavy cream - siggi's vanilla skyr yogurt - sprouts mayo (weirdly good) - lesser evil popcorn - groundwork coffee - rotten foods sour gummy cruncheez The staff are always nice and accommodating. Today I saw them have a group staff huddle on the floor which was cool. I hope they treat their employees right and pay them well!! Chris is super nice

Sprouts is a great place to find some of the things I can't find in other supermarkets here…read more I appreciate the way sales are posted. Not only is it easy to browse the newest ads, I like that there is overlap in the ads--one day that you can shop two weekly ads at the same time. Because this location is a little farther from me, this perk makes it easier to combine the trip to save both time and money. Of course, our favorite is the bulk shopping items; okay, maybe mostly the gummy bears. They've gone up recently, but when you can get them on a sale, it makes it all worth it!
