I Googled the mailing address, and discovered this YELP review. Lots of other Google search results indicate that scammers have been using this address as far back as 2018. Go to Better Business Bureau and search for a company listed as 'Powerful Marketplace' which has the same address as above. This address was at the bottom of a repeated email I have been receiving for weeks now- (of course, aligned with all the holiday packages timing!!!) - and an odd email address with a ".de.com" tagline. (and yes I am expecting something from EU, but I am not so sure this is from Denmark or another country!!) - - Their new trick is to claim customs fees-- and you have to enter your cc numbers as well as detailed information (address, phone, and the security code from cc). And to avoid trouble, in fine print at the bottom, there is the 'you are registering for a service and will be charged 'fifty nine ninety nine in three days then ninety nine ninety nine every thirty days..." for added confusion in the review. The initial 'customs fee' can vary from $2.00 to $1.95 or some other 'nominal charge'. I took a photo of the email with relevant details and this address at the bottom. I was going to do the same with the link details described above (but sadly- am fearing they got some info from me just by clicking as I am unable to open the link again!!! ugh!! I received an email from britannia.com stating my prime Amazon prime membership was expiring on September 6th and I went in to pay it and got routed to another page that ended up being something called winning pops and I've bought a membership to something I don't know they took $29.95 out of my account after explicitly saying you're a card will not be charged then they tried to take $199.95 but the money wasn't there fooled them huh anyway I call the number on the bottom of the email and it swears the money cannot be refunded but they will close out the account I won't be charged anything else... I received an email alleging it was CVS telling me I had an "unclaimed" $500 gift card. All I need to do is "answer a few questions." However, the fine print says "receive a fantastic prize." This is a scam wherein they try to get your personal information, financial if they can con you, or simple contact information if you begin their questions at all. I believe that once you've typed in ANY of your information, it is kept and saved REGARDLESS of you continuing on their link. In other words, you start by giving your name, address, phone number, etc. and click to the next page...they begin asking you more invasive questions and you decide to click out of the page....HOWEVER, they likely have logged and saved the previous information you gave them. This means you'll get more spam email, more junk mail (paper), and certainly more robot phone calls. Hopefully you had trained you elderly parents and grandparents to NOT entertain these scammers. Furthermore, if you are not visiting your parents and grandparents regularly, THEY ARE LONELY! When they are lonely, they are STARVED for ANY interaction...even with scammers! So please, PLEASE, take care of your elderly family members. They need more than food and water! They need conversation. Hugs. Clip their toenails. Rub their back. Lotion their feet and legs. Take them outside for sunlight. Watch a John Wayne movie with them. Bring them into your home once in a while for dinner or birthday parties.
