The unthinkable happened during a terrible rainstorm and her basement flooded! All our belongings were in jeopardy. Fortunately, emergency plumbing stopped the flooding (sump pump failed) and a restoration company came the next day to stabilize the situation. All our wet boxes of belongings were emptied, dried out and reboxed. Our furniture was put up on pallets and when dried out, was wrapped in plastic to prevent a future flooding disaster. In the interim, my mother-in-law's health really declined. We knew then that our living arrangement with her was drawing to a close and we would be moving out soon. Rather than having the restoration company put all our belongings back in the basement once it is restored, we decided to take everything and put it in off site storage. This is where Storage Sense comes in! Beth, Utica location Manager, answered my request for a quote promptly via Yelp. The concern she had for our situation overwhelmed me. She made the perfect selection of a storage unit for our needs and gave us an affordable solution to our dilemma! I met with her under a very stressful time for me (mother-in-law back in the hospital) and at the end of her working day. She took the time to show and explain how storage units work, set me up with an account and relieved that immediate stress in my life. Storage Sense is not only clean, safe and well managed by Beth, but it also has a heart. Thank you Beth and Storage Sense for a wonderful first time ever experience with storage facilities! I HIGHLY recommend Storage Sense and the services that Beth provides at their Utica location!!

The resolve from Public Storage was to move me from my premium first floor unit to the second floor at a higher monthly price (best available). They gave me $25 however my rent that was $116 for my original unit was priced at $139! I asked if I could have this unit I was inconveniently placed in for the same price as my original, and they would not budge. Furthermore, the transfer to the second floor was terrible because occasionally the elevator would be non-functioning for up to three days in a row at times. This is something that no one is notified about so you don't know (nor could they tell you when it will be resolved!) until you arrive to transport things in or out. On top of that, they just went up on the rent from $139-$197! Absolutely not, not, not. Goodbye forever, and I'm going to tell anyone who asks.

She goes here it is and it will ready when I get there. I get there and the other girl after 5 minutes of me waiting asks me what unit. I say I'm not sure I paid $160 and she made a big stink about me needing to know what unit. I said I'm sure you didn't sell that many units for $160 which I joked about on the phone with Angela. So then I make a comment how this is going to waste even more time and she asked me what I said. I chose not to repeat it and kept quiet. She then says I am being disrespectful and will ban me. Thats wild so I take my phone and start recording. Asking what I said or did that was disrespectful. Neither of these ladies mentioned a single thing I said or did that was disrespectful. Not a single name called, No cuss word, No epithet, Slur or anything. They had silence when asked multiple times. Then I get kicked out only when I turned the camera towards Angela As soon as she seen the camera I was banned. No disrespect in the video and it is clear as day when I am banned and it was not for threatening her like she said Not for anything else but being recorded. So then she calls the cops and says the one girl says I am threatening her by filming them. So of course the police show up 3 cars deep and pull me over just to tell me I am not allowed to go there. This place uses the police as a weapon over asking why I was disrespectful or how and filming them.
