From moving in, to them stopping by to say hello, checking in to see if we need anything. I wish I could express how happy we are to be in this location. I said to Kevin a few weeks ago how I would have liked to have set up our shop here two years ago (instead of where we were...one address down...stay away)... but then I wouldn't appreciate how good we have it now. Pricing... we more than doubled our space. Went from about 800 square feet to 2,000 square feet and the rent only went up a few hundred dollars from the craphole we were in. We looked all over the UCF area before we moved here, and nothing, I mean nothing came close to what we are getting for space and rent. Today, I was left with an awful experience dealing with this storage owner. She had a vendetta…read moreagainst me from the start because of the pervious owner of a unit i bid on Monday morning. I was given u til Friday before 9am to have everything out of the storage unit; which I did.. I've never bid on a storage unit before and I I sure got an experience. Allow me to make sure you know what you're getting into if you are like me and are new to this. This facility gives you 72 hours. 72 hours. To move everything. Tuesday and Thursday the business is appointment only and closed. So, doesn't it seem far to not even count those days for the 72 hrs if the office is closed? Which, if I'm being honest, seems like no time at all to get all items out of the unit. Other places I've seen give 45 days, 75 days etc. I wasn't looking for that long maybe 5 days, the most. Not sure about anyone else, but I work m-f and 2 of those days are 11 hrs shifts. Also, I have a toddler. So, time management isn't on my side. However, I got everything out of the unit from the second floor. Big furniture and dressers, bed, etc. Now, some items couldn't fit in my sedan car to move it so I have to leave it next to the garage dumpster. I was bc told not to leave anything out of the dumpster. My plan was to go back with a sledgehammer and demolish the furniture to fit it in the dumpster. Unfortunately, when I returned to the dumpster after I got off work on Friday afternoon, the items were gone. Because of that, she kept my $200 cleaning deposit. I understand I didn't meet her 72 hrs deadline but seriously?? Stating she had to call and have someone break down the stuff that was outside. Why? I said I would do it. And, I'm working with limited time but I would do it. She did not care. No thanks given to this business owner for not being compassionate and supportive of your fellow community member. It's just unfortunate that in today's world we are all struggling with inflation and it is hard getting by with what you earn. She was cold and callus to a single mother and could care less. That's cool. You're running a business, and the bottom line is your dollar: now you've got $199 more. So, again thank you for showing me your true colors. When on the phone, she was super combative with me and wouldn't allow me to speak up for myself. Interrupting me at every moment. This is the type of individual you will be dealing with at this business. Next time, I know better.

The on-site supervisor was rude & made it very difficult for me. On May 23rd, 2024 at 1 pm, all of my belongings in a Public Storage unit in the Bronx were auctioned off online by StorageTreasures. I've been a Public Storage customer since 10/2022. I thought my belongings would be safe in Public Storage, while I searched for employment & I could rent an apartment. My son's ashes, my pet's ashes. I worked hard to obtain the diplomas as a 1st gen, childhood pictures/books. I grew up in the group home foster care system in NYC, after aging out I've been on my own since I was 16 yrs old. The storage unit wasn't just a collection of things, it was a sanctuary of a life I built on my own, a testament to my resilience. I suffer from psychosomatic nerve pain, PTSD, anxiety & depression from long-term trauma. This last year has been routine visits to the doctor's office, MRIs, & physical therapy. On that Sat May 25th, I was rushed to the emergency room from stress (17 hrs of regurgitating bile). In April 2024, I was diagnosed with cancer. While I understand the need for businesses to enforce payment policies, in this instance, a more humane approach could have prevented significant emotional & physical distress. This was about the heartless cruelty of taking from someone who already had very little. I was told the buyer of my unit was given my information to make arrangements to return the irreplaceable items, even allowing me to repurchase my belongings. You can't be this amount of heartless or evil!
