I had a completely opposite experience from the previous reviewers. I found Magick through Thumbtack, a website which connects you to local services such as house cleaning, furniture moving, personal trainers, etc. On Thumbtack, Magick Movers has a perfect five stars from 16 reviews. I hired them to load my moving truck. Nora was super responsive to all my questions, and the loading crew was right on time. The process was quick, professional and even fun! The crew got all my furniture loaded into the truck carefully and in the way I needed arranged. I would definitely hire them again. read more

These guys were great! They really made moving furniture an enjoyable experience. Not only were they friendly and professional, but they were helpful. They even hooked up our washing machine. I was sad to see that Mark and Nora have retired but the new owner was very helpful and I am still very happy with the company. I use them to rent trucks and the equipment is all nice and new. I also have friends that rent shop space there and there are never any problems. read more

Damaged furniture, damaged the elevator doors (which they still haven't reimbursed me for) and were difficult to get a response from regarding the damages. The repairs to the furniture were sub-pat and I'm still waiting for the money to cover the elevator door repair. I would never use them again and certainly don't recommend them. read more

OK, first off, let me say, we've lived here in Brevard County for over 33 years. We have not had to move many times, in fact, only 4 or 5, but NOT in past 14+ years, since building our Suntree home. I distinctly called & interviewed over the phone 3 co's. & also went over one in particular even LISTING with their Helpful?? List of what was being moved. Our MOVE was less than 10 minutes from our Suntree home. OK, now, I also need to Point out, it is NOT their Guys who did NOT work their butts off..They DID..However, I FIRMLY Believe, since I was NOT BORN Last Night or in the DARK that the ESTIMATE Was QUOTED Lower to JUST GET THE JOB..I Listed EVERYTHING, Yet, Not Everything was able to be moved, WHY? Because I'd realized we'd already gone considerably OVER their ESTIMATE..& I myself was tired, & Frustrated. The Guys were Great, it's NOT THEM..It's the COMPANY they WORK FOR. At the TIME OF THE Going over the ESTIMATE I was told TIPS WERE ALSO FAVORED & APPRECIATED, SO MAKE SURE YOU REALIZE, IF YOU Have a 2 Guy Team, or a 3 GUY TEAM, that's 2 or 3 times the tip, & since we'd NOT had to Move in SO many years, I'm not even sure IF I tipped enough, HOWEVER, Also when the "BILL" Was Given, again, I was Reminded, TIPS Are Appreciated, so these GUYS Although they WORK Extremely HARD for their money, obviously are NOT Paid enough, yet it is WE Who are HIRING "THEIR COMPANY", Are the 1's EXPECTED to MAKE UP the DIFFERENCE..Another VERY IMPORTANT THING, We moved a TYPICAL 4/3..with Formals, but NO Boxes, except for 2 1/2, NO CHINA, DISHES, CRYSTAL, PICTURES, OR CLOTHES OR Anything, Never got to the items that WERE ON THE LIST, like those in the ATTIC, but again, the 2ND "TRIP"..took approx. 1/16th of the truck, IF THAT..MAKE SURE YOU ASK "HOW BIG IS THEIR TRUCK!"..Because that EXTRA Little BIT that would not FIT, I added up the time to pack it, then they have their rails, pads, ramps, & Bands & "EQUIPMENT" to get the job done..so all this TAKES TIME TOO.again,we were ONLY 10 minutes away, & DID NOT Get ALL THINGS ON THE LIST..Only thing I Actually ADDED, since the truck was SO EMPTY on 2nd TRIP, were 2 kids size bikes, & a couple of potted plants yet I Had ADDED those to the list ahead of time..this trip that we've still had to work VERY HARD Ourselves on Packing & Moving our OWN CLOTHES, DISHES, CHINA, CRYSTAL, & WE DID NOT EVEN Move ANY Lawn Care Equip. or Grill We did take a Small PVC 4 chair & table set of patio furniture was IT..& again, All the USUAL STUFF WE MOVED OR ARE MOVING OURSELVES..THIS WAS JUST THE FURNITURE..PLUS THE "items in the attic they did Not get to, since I realized how much Over the TIME We Already were"..The "ESTIMATE" Was $200 more, PLUS THE TIPS..so over $831.00 & WE DID NOT Get Everything We Needed, Plus, we Moved Much of Anything Breakable or Personable & Wall pics ourselves..for a 10 minute MOVE..think about that...these guys didn't waste time either..The ESTIMATE was just I believe..Purposefully Lower a QUOTE..to get the JOB..Since I was told, they did NOT charge a transportation fee, they KNOW ONE CO. in Particular Does..I bet they'd have been Lower..Ridiculous to think this is what it cost for a 10 minute from Home MOVE..With US TAKING Our Own Mentioned above stuff..ourselves..Come On..Again, I was NOT born LAST NIGHT. read more
