We had our RV stored there for two years, it was broken into twice. This last time the individuals did $40,000 in damages and theft. The police detective said there were other thefts of RV's. Public storage's idea of security are cameras that nobody watches. In order to see the videos the police must have the time of the damage or theft in order to review the security footage. No on site security at all. Total ripoff. read more

Totally pissed off that I have to give one star. My husband and I have had our unit for 10 years. It's been broken into so many times I actually lost count. Their insurance that they push is a freaking joke. We followed with what we were supposed to do. Filed the police report and filed the claim. The adjuster who was assigned to us, up and quit her job. Nobody could get into her system. So we got completely screwed. Leather jackets stolen and gone. Not to mention a set of Franciscan dishes that was a wedding present gone. All I get is the bs line I'm so sorry. It's seems like there is never any one on property except for a woman who is homeless who the manager says is always on property worried about her unit. After what my husband and I have been through with this location I can certainly understand why. Not to mention good luck trying to actually reach corporate. I have had my belongings at the storage company for 2yrs...n yes my storage unit has been safely kept,but each yr.without any notice!!!.. they raise your rent by $94...that's extremely high!!!...you can never get in touch with anyone at this office or a return call back!!!...I'll be leaving soon n never will I use this company ever again!!!...and you shouldn't either!!! read more

I won a storage auction and made an appointment. And I was made to spend 3 hours trying to reach any live person there.

When we began our contract with this storage facility, the hours of operation were through 9PM, which was the reason why we selected this location to began with. We work outside the city and we don't get back in to town until late at night.. Now, if we want to access our stuff in the middle of week, we have to either take leave from work or change location, which would require us to spend money to get our stuff moved again. We just moved in to this facility in October, we got the notification one month later.. After moving our family cross country, the last thing we can afford right now is yet another moving expense.. it would have been nice to get at least a couple of Pat periods of notice. This place is garbage, went there with an appointment on 6/04 at noon and nobody was there, the doors locked and you can hear somebody yelling inside. There were 2 more people outside also saying they spoke to somebody a few minutes before and told them they were stopping by. The kicker is that i was out there ready to pay for a spot to store my trailer, banging on the door of the place, someone exits the building on the side and i she was just walking to her car not even acknowledging me until i asked if she worked there, she said she did and that she was off, i asked if they were open and she just said there should be someone there and left. Worst employee ever! Called today and still goes to voicemail, even corporate tells me they will transfer me cause they should be open and straight to voicemail. Someone should be fired or escorted off the residence in the facility... went somewhere else and paying more. Gladly paying more read more

My first 1 star review. I rented a unit 6/3 for the next day. On 6/4 after 6 maybe 7 failed attempts to gain entry into the gate it finally opened. After a 1/2 hour of trying ti get into the facility, a property manager showed up and changed the access code which i should've checked at that time because when i came back 2 1/2 hours later i still couldn't get into the building. And guess what No lock left for the unit, but the $19.99 charge was there, Not a great first impression. read more

BREAK IN... Someone broke into my unit, stole stuff & all the staff does is, write an incident report and the incident gets filed in the trash. They do absolutely nothing with it. And they don't have cameras, so they don't know who did it. There is a keypad at the door, uses the same code for driving into the gate, but useless because they have no idea who did what. No refund for having to take everything out of my unit early, no nothing. Go somewhere where there are cameras and helpful information when something like this happens. USELESS read more

The storage unit was perfect she is super amazing very nice and very great at making things perfect for us. The staff in the front is wonderful but my unit looked like somebody had broken into it already. I walked in and it smelled so bad like feces I immediately want to change storage units. Then I look online and it says there are a lot of break-ins. Just saying I'm not a fan. read more

So far everything was easily setup online and I was able to get into the facility with no issues. I was able to find my assigned spot and park my trailer. My only concern is the area where the facility is located. Other reviews have indicated that there has been break-ins and thefts. Hopefully this will not be the case with the storing of my trailer. read more

I was wondering why Public Storage at 1900 N. Jones Blvd. was significantly cheaper than other storage facilities in the area. It is due to the fact there is inadequate security, and it's not in the greatest neighborhood. My vehicle stored there was broken into recently, so I guess I'm going to have to move it and pay the extra money for a storage facility that cares about protecting people's stuff. Beware. read more

Do NOT store here! It is an unsafe location. We had our camper there for a few months and we discovered last week someone had broken into our camper and WAS LIVING IN IT. They took NO responsibility and would not disclose if they had cameras to us or not. We had to call the police, our camper had other stolen items from other people's campers in it. Many people's campers were broken into. The manager on site did her best, but the higher up manager (Amy) said there was nothing they would do other than waive any admin fees to transfer to another Public Storage. We did NOT move to another storage place. $1200 worth of items stolen from us and now many things in my camper need to be replaced. THIS IS A CORPORATECOMPLAINT!!!!!! .So we needed emergency immediately storage for 24 access just for the initial move in Because we promised to vacate the apt by the 1st We wouldn't of needed 24hr every time They wouldn't accommodate us So in the 1st 35min of being told our storage info and finding out there is NO 24hr We Canceled over the phone like we setup the account Well the Lady say I can cancel it but there will be a Fee of $26 or $29 I can't remember But when she said that I made the mistake of saying Oh I'm not paying that She informed me that the conformation will be sent in a email The Low down Employee never Canceled it But as I was done with her I'm calling American Express to inform them of the situation Amex said it's pending wait for it to post So I did I was expecting to see a fee charge from Public storage not the $226.?? Rental amount So of course I call Public They tell me They show No record of us calling to cancel But of course your phone records don't lie They sent conformation texts saying here is your Access info at 5.48 pm We was on a Public Storage number at 5.57 pm on hold waiting for 34min To tell the lady we need to cancel She said She did it ....As soon as We hung up from Canceling I call Amex All my time make sense Once it posted to my C' card I Call to dispute it and Tried several time talking with different Public storage employees like on Corporate level and They are the biggest liars of them all They said I just called today to cancel Then the Last man said You can't cancel over the phone for Public storage You have to call the Location directly and cancel I even was told you have to come in to location to Vacate ... I went to the No. Jones location and Met Chantel and Kat. Two very professional efficient and wonderful young ladies. We made reservations for a 10x30 to park our travel trailer. When we arrived the space that was available had a semi parked next to it and the semi's mirrors were over on to the space almost 2 feet. That semi should be paying for two spaces! It was NOT the 10x30 advertised but rather a 8x30. Completely unacceptable. read more

Do not store your items here unless you want to get robbed and treated as if you are trying to run an insurance scam. They force you to purchase insurance and then will not help you if you should need to file a claim. Terrible location. read more

I was at this location and Becky was super sweet and helpful, sometimes you go to these storage and people are rude and try to get you out. She was really patient and also answered all my question . She also let me know Rosario could help me further on storing my car and come back to see him . So I got my unit from Becky and I received my truck reservation from Rosario those two together are awesome . If you need a storage this is the place and it was really clean and organized. My rv was broken into. Ourdoor storage is not secure at this facilty, I receiced an email from the office 3 days after they noticed it had been tampered with, I asked why they didnt call and they claimed that they did and left a message...they did not. I promptly removed my rv from their storage lot...not a safe place to store your vehicle or trailer. read more

I had several issues with this property while I rented 3 different units here. First off, my box trailer was broken into. I'm fairly certain there are people living in some of the garage units. Then when I moved out, I gave advance notice that I was moving out of a garage unit and was told to leave it empty and leave the door open. No one moved me out and a month later, I received a bill to pay it again. I called the property and I spoke to someone who said it was too bad and I had to pay it. I asked to speak to a manager and was told the manager was out and she didn't know when she would be back. I had to go to corporate and finally to a senior regional manager who said he had cleared it up. But then a month later, I got ANOTHER bill. I had to call the senior regional manager again. He claimed he dealt with it. But then I get an email that I had an outstanding balance and that I would go to collections within 10 days if not paid. I called him again and he never called back. So I don't really know if I'm in collections or not now. Terrible location and service. read more

I have been with Public Storage totaling over ten years on two separate occasions without any issues, but today I had a pleasant surprise and a Birthday present two days early. With the winding down of the shipping aspect of my business, I no longer needed the extra space so I vacated the property on June 28th - finishing the month for which I had - as always - paid in advance. I was more than a bit shocked (and not at all happy) when i received a new bill for over $168.00. After stopping by the facility and arriving at no sympathetic resolution, I was told to call the national customer service line. Again - nothing. It was seeming as though it was going to be another case of "tough luck, buddy - you should have read the fine print", when I was connected to Evohn Young here in Las Vegas. And, therein was to lie the pleasant surprise. She was courteous, friendly and in a blink had a handle on what caused the "problem". In short, it was a misunderstanding on my part as to the final disposition of the locking device. I can't tell you how nice it is to find someone who can think for themselves, allow a speck of latitude and actually assert her own interpretational wisdom, resolving a simple situation without leaving the customer feeling violated. Thank you, Ms Young. My faith in mankind may yet be restored. Your company - any company - should have more like you. We would all be better for it.
