The quality of customer service I received today was amazing. Phyneice was very thorough with explaining the insurance policy, contract agreement, as well as sufficient in her knowledge about it. The process was very quick, I asked a number of questions and not once did she have to give it a second thought. The office was clean, she spoke with enthusiasm, she kept great eye contact and is very well spoken might I add. I give her 5stars just for the way she took great care of me in my need. For most people using any type of storage facility is a frustration before we even start looking for one. The reasons vary however it's dreaded. Only because we know we're eventually going to have to move it back out of there into its destination wherever that might be. So I give people that work with the public quite a bit of credit, because they chose a job they know everyday could be a rollercoaster ride. That first interaction between the storage facility and the customer is vitally important that dictates how the rest of your day is going to go. The woman I had the pleasure of dealing with her name was Michelle. My day had already been insane to say the least and I was not looking forward to this experience. However this was the turning point for my day. She was extremely personable and made sure if I had any questions at all, that they were answered before I walked out the door. If you need a storage facility this is definitely the place to go. One thing I do recommend if and when you do ask for Michelle. read more

The current manager is fine. This is after multiple changes. However my experience with this facility was terrible. 1st the was a leak from the ceiling that led to mold on clothes and furniture. Had to be very persistent to get addressed. Then when it was stated that it was addressed it really wasn't as leaking continued. Then since there's no security cameras the break-in that took place had no other details other than noticing that the lock was missing. Furthermore the regional manager was not much help. When I asked for a discount or something done to lead to a more positive experience they reduced the monthly by only $15. Felt like a poor attempt to reconcile these issues. So to say the least I believe I overpaid for the space and ended up with a very poor experience. In addition the security gait is broken, aka wide open, even now as I write this. I will never use them again in any city. Especially when I found a better place with better security and cost less a couple of miles away. read more

I had rented from Public Storage about 10 years ago and after looking at several other storage businesses, I found myself going back to Public Storage. The improvements that have taken place during the last 10 years is favorable. Renting and moving in in easy! Easy paperwork, did not have any reservation on file and walked in right before closing ahead of time to confirm. I live in Merrillville, In and the unit is 15-18 minutes away. Plenty of sizes available, best pricing. Very Clean, Spacious, Quick, efficient and Convent so if you're looking for that, you need to come to this location. Unit itself is standard, could have been closer to office but that's minor. Overall it's secure and that what we were looking for. The star/highlight of the place was Michelle and Mr. Patrick. We had a pleasure to meet these individuals who is bright, friendly, flexible, extremely competent, and a pleasure to work with. They showed my fiancé the unit and then WE rented, and when we were unsure about it, she offered another size unit (that was priced the same), and that one worked out better. Prior to moving my belongings in, she swept out the unit to make sure it was clean. Had my updated paperwork with the new unit info available for me in the office by the time I left. This team went over and beyond to please us! We are Thankful and Blessed to have met these two! God is Awesome and We Highly recommend. read more
